I have been on the phone repeatedly trying to get my script to be filled! First it never got sent possibly a glitch). Second I called and again it and they resubmitted a prescription that I already had filled . Called again and after being told I had to wait a week because my doctor was out, They sent it to a pharmacy in another state. Called again and was told it couldn't be fixed for a week. Told them it better be fixed today because they sent it to the wrong pharmacy today. The receptionist was confused and not apologetic or trying to fix it. I have wasted at least an hour if not more trying to get this fixed! I'm furious. How hard is it to send my prescription to the pharmacy that they told me they were sending it to? How hard is it to be concerned and fix their mistake? Why should I have to pitch a fit to get them to do their job. This place, when it was simply Apex Dermatology, was a great place. Since it was taken over by US Dermatology Partners it can hardly be considered a medical practice. You can hardly get through their phone system to talk to a human. You can barely get an appt in a timely manner regardless if you are a high-risk patient. They nickel and dime you for everything. If you are in there for one issue and you need a refill for an ongoing prescription, they want to charge you an additional $50 office visit with no physical once over/checkup of what the prescription is for just to write the prescription. If you can get a quick appt it would likely be telehealth which lasts 2.5 minutes if you are lucky and comes with a big office visit price tag as well. Also, there is no specific call time, it is a window, because we all know their time is more valuable than our time. If you miss the call, oh well! This place is not worth your time or money! read more

Because they are the best I happily drive there for my appointments. I have a tendency towards skin cancer and there is no one in the world better at spotting problems than Dr. Alexandra Theriault! And the surgeon who removes the cancers, Dr. Tiffany Tello, is an excellent surgeon. Yes, it was more convenient when they were located here in Littleton, but if you want the best, invest some time and drive to their Denver location. read more

Fuck this place. I went for 8 months to run a course of Accutane and each checkup I felt less and less valued. The docs never actually asked the see the right place on my skin being treated (they always asked to see my face when it has been my back from the start) and never really gave me the feeling they gave a shit. Each checkup visit was ten minutes and consisted of "let me see your face" and "do you have any concerns" and "are tou having any side effects". I had more trouble filling my RX at my own pharmacy than I ever have for any other medicine and during my course of treatment I there were several times when I went for multiple weeks without it because the office couldn't be bothered to do anything with prescriptions over the weekend, including Friday. I had to take about 40 hours total off from work because the docs don't work Fridays. At least, not on nonsurgical patients. I even kept mentioning having memory problems and non-standard side effects and the answer was that it must be something else because there wasn't anything in the official literature about what I was experiencing. The only reason I stayed was because I didn't want to switch to a new office right in the middle of an Accutane course. Unfortunately I didn't even finish it because the side effects were getting so bad and now 8 months is wasted because no one would help me figure out what was going on and how to fix it. My cystic acne is starting to come back now too. The only good thing was that the front desk girls were super hella hot, which was nice. Otherwise fuck this office straight to Sunday. read more

Worst experience.This place won't value you and they are a rip off. I went in for a consultation then got put on the spot to receive botox treatment. Leslie made me feel rushed to make a decision and told me I needed 20 units or else I was "wasting my money"; she didn't ask me if I had any questions either. She seemed irritated when I didn't agree to treatment and made me feel like I was an inconvenience. I could hear her tell her assistant Monica (who wasn't warm or friendly either) in an annoyed voice, "she's not doing it" once she walked out of the room I was in. I think it's unprofessional to talk about clients when they are close enough to hear... Afterwards, I went upstairs to Renu Laser and Skin Care and had an excellent experience. I had a consultation with Brittany- she was kind, honest, and helpful. She told me I would need 9-15 units of botox to treat my problem area. The price was way better too- it's $10.50/unit for first time clients vs $13 at Apex. I highly recommend going to Renu instead! Also they keep deleting my review!! read more

I've been going here for years, both the Littleton location and the Lowry. The service has gone down in recent years, in my opinion. They seem to be unable to keep an appointment time. I checked in 10 minutes before my appointment and still waited for 40 minutes. Was escorted to the exam room and...waited more. Terrible experience going to Dr Theriault, last year I went for a skin check She by far the worst dermatologist I've been to She froze a few suspicious looking moles and red marks. When I asked her about the scaly patches on my leg she told me they don't like to remove anything on the legs because of scaring. Shortly after my appt my husband notice another scaly patch on my upper back I decided to try a different dr this year for a 2nd opinion The new dr took samples of the scaly patch on my back, my leg and one on my face. My face patch turned out to be negative but the patch on my leg and my back came back as squamous cancer cells. Recently had them excised and she told me I need to get checked every 6 months for a couple of years. Thank god for my new dr who knows what could have happened, possibly turned into Melanoma. Make sure your dermatologist checks even your skin colored moles and scaly patches. read more

Terrible experience with the front desk. I checked in early, I had tried to reschedule my appointment via voicemail but never heard back. So she says it is cancelled. She says I "might" see the doctor but she hurt her knee, so maybe not. I live in Denver and drove down to Littleton for the appointment. Then she also announces it is for "Botox" several times. My last appointment was a year ago and I've been thinking about my experience ever since. I had a great doctor who worked hard to form a relationship with me. She left and I was assigned to another doctor. The new one, along with their nurse, did not understand my need to meet the doctor before my skin check. As someone who has gone through trauma, it's very hard to have two people I've never met examine me without clothes. I explained this, but they both gave me a strange look and told me it wouldn't take long. They shut me down and made me feel ashamed for asking. I left feeling ignored and very triggered. Doctor "T" as she is called, rushed in and cut a mole off my face and rushed out without discussing anything about it or even telling me what the mole was or if it even needed to be removed. ABSOLUTELY AMAZING TEAM! Never having been to see a dermatologist before, I was a bit nervous. I had a concerning new spot on my face. I called around a couple different places and they all had appointments out a couple of months. Living in Colorado and playing golf (and not being the best about applying sun protection all the time), I was concerned about it being something more than a 'spot'. The team at APEX was able to see me the next day as they shoe-horned me in at the very end of the day. I'm not suggesting to expect this, just stating they were able to be very accommodating. From the moment I arrived for my appointment, Ami in Reception was friendly and disarming. The check-in process for a new patient was smooth and easy, utilizing a tablet. There was a very short form to fill out as well. Being that I was scheduled the last appointment of the day, they were running a few minutes behind. Ami thoughtfully volunteered the wifi password since they don't have good 4G reception. Not a big deal. However, it was so neat to watch a couple other clients come and go. All treated with a pleasant, friendly manner. But here's where the team really shined... While I was awaiting to go to the Exam Room, Ami commented how much she respected and appreciated the humility of the medical staff. She delightfully mentioned how Molly will actually come fetch her own clients if her assistants are busy; apparently this isn't common. So that was cool to hear by itself. But what was even more awesome is that Ami had NO REASON to tell me that. It was clear she really enjoys working there and with the rest of the staff at Apex. This kind of working team environment is very rare and deserves to be recognized and applauded. Once in the exam room, I checked out their magazine collection (hey, it was at least from the last few months rather than years old) for about 3 minutes before medical assistant, Angie came in. Angie was super-friendly, asked a few simple questions, was caring and answered some basic questions before Molly Kozlowski, PA-C came in for the treatment. It was obvious the two of them enjoy working together as well, a kind of dynamic duo energy to their interactions. Molly was great! I've got some sun damage spots on my face and a few large freckles. I was feeling a bit self-conscious about them. She sweetly smiled and called them "distinguishing", "character" and "wisdom marks." Well that sure felt good. I had braced myself to be scolded about sunscreen application; like being told to floss every time I go to the dentist! The exam turned out great and turns out I was worried about nothing. Molly was able to let me know immediately after examining it, I didn't have to worry about my new 'spot'. She clearly knew her stuff and whipped out a whole bunch of fancy medical terms to me, but also calling out some other technical stuff for Angie to make note of in my electronic chart. She even suggested naming it. I think I'll pass for now. But I will definitely return in the coming months to really take care of the dark spots on my face with their laser treatment regimen. Probably one of the worst experiences I have had at an physician's office. My first appt. I waited an over an hour to see the provider...I understand things happen and they were very short staffed that day so I waited patiently. My second visit I was 15 minutes late due to traffic as a result of a car accident. When I arrived, I apologized for my unforeseen tardiness but the office staff and medical asst were extremely rude and refused my appointment "nothing we can do for you, our hands are tied." Plus they didnt offer an alternate appointment. I drove 30 minutes to see this provider and had to take off 2 hrs from work to make this appointment. Clearly this location doesnt care about their patients and is a 'turn & burn' environment read more

I came across Apex because of my insurance and saw they had pretty good Google reviews. Now, I'm a current patient of Kristin Rygg and have had nothing but good experiences with her and her team. I went in initially for a dry scalp issue, but had other skin issues going on. She recommended products that I should switch to and scheduled a few follow ups until things were better. I have pretty sensitive skin, so it took a couple of visits to get things figured out, but I'm happy with everything now and will definitely continue to come back in the future for other issues and my annual skin checkups. read more

Typically I go to the location in Denver but I was not able to be seen there so I got an appointment for the Littleton's location which I have not been to. When I got there the front desk lady was not very nice and got snappy when I asked where the restroom was. When I went to the room to be seen my dermatologist was rushing me quite a bit and didn't give me much time to talk about what was going on. I will not go to the Littleton location again. Recently I've been trying to find a dermatologist or someone to do Botox recently and I was very thrilled to find Apex dermatology! I called and was able to set up an appointment within minutes.the front desk staff was very friendly. One of them showed me their products that go towards a credit to certain services. Once I was in the exam room Dr. Leslie was very professional and was able to easily point out certain areas of my forehead that needed some help and recommended to come back when needed. I would definitely recommend checking out their office before going to a salon. read more

My wife was referred to this group to have an annual skin check up done. They are a part of US Dermatology Partners. That website has a section devoted to the importance of doing an annual skin examination. Their website says: "Just as you schedule your annual physical or trip to the dentist, it is important to conduct a self-examination of your skin each month and schedule a professional skin examination once a year." When you click on the tab that says "Find This Service Near You" it rolls to the bottom of the page and Apex and its affiliates are listed. My wife called and set up an appointment and clearly stated it was for an annual skin exam. This office took that appointment. Our insurance pays for this 100% once per year. Now the provider, through US Dermatology Group, is billing us for the service and states that they do not do preventative skin examinations and they don't have a preventative code. My wife was very satisfied with the doctor but given this situation I feel they are being extremely dishonest and are not willing to simply waive the amount billed to us. The website they associate themselves with through their affiliation with US Dermatology Group clearly states they provide this service. For this reason I cannot recommend them under any circumstances. read more

I see Dr Chavelieh and been happy with the services we have received. Appointments are a little shorter than I would like but I think a comprehensive exam is being done. I also got IPL at the office for brown spots on my face and am so happy with the results. My skin looks so much smoother and younger!!! After seeing several providers and being covered by insurance, got a bill for the full cost. Insurance says that provider wasn't covered by contract. Thanks to Apex for scheduling me knowing what our insurance was. We were told afterwards to find another practice as all the providers dropped that plan. Now, that provider is once again covered by our insurance. We've moved elsewhere but got stuck with hundreds of dollars from this bait and switch practice. If you go here you will have to ask for EVERY appointment if the provider and practice are covered at the time of your visit because they change contracts like people change their clothes. read more

The reason I gave 4 stars rather than 5 is that they are always late on their appointments. The last 3 times I've had an appointment, they were at least 30 minutes late. I have seen Rebecca (PA-C) several times and have had great care. I am always greeted the minute I arrive, the waiting room is clean, peaceful and spacious. Wait time is incredibly short; I am often seen within 1-2 minutes of my scheduled appointment. The medical assistant working with Rebecca is always super-friendly and kind. My treatments are thorough and carefully done, and the outcomes are simply excellent. Rebecca always follows up after my treatments to make sure I am pleased with the results. In addition, my daughter sees Brittany (licensed aesthetician) for important scar reductions because she has had several orthopedic surgeries. Brittany is so kind, gentle and patient with my teenage daughter. The laser procedures have reduced the unsightly scars tremendously, and my daugher (and I) are simply thrilled with the results. Apex Dermatology is our family's dermatology practice, and we are grateful for their care. read more
