I met with a representative of GCR in February 2019. He came to look at the shower and became my main contact for the project. Over the next 9 months, yes 9 months GCR tried to put in a new shower. The incompetence of this organization in trying to get proper permitting done, handling subcontractor workmanship and overall organization of work scheduling is evident in that they were never able to finish the project. In October a decision had to be made to start all over and hire a new company for the shower redo. Try to picture the Three Stooges or Laurel & Hardy handling a construction job and it will give you a sense of Gulf Coast Restoration. This is not an exaggeration. My recommendation is to do yourself a favor and stay away from this company. "Caveat Emptor".

I hired GCRC to restore my house after a water leak. The quality of their work was very low. They…read moretold me that they could not get base molding to match my existing molding for six weeks, all but forcing me to use a cheap grade. Then they cut the baseboard trim so sloppy the some of the gaps were 1/4" or more. When I asked them to fix it they just caulked them. Now the caulk has shrunk and they look terrible. Painting was done so poorly that I told them to stop because the rooms looked better BEFORE they painted them. I made the mistake of paying them before the tile and grout work was complete and after that I never saw them again. Fortunately the insurance company let me finish the work with somebody else.

We used LGT/"Third Nail Guy" to add hurricane clips to our home. All communication was done by…read moreemail prior to the service. No one came to the house to inspect prior to quoting. We were provided a quote for our house, which we accepted. The technician arrived and completed the work, however it was very unclear whether he needed to do the entire house; after his initial inspection he said he only needed to do two sides. The supervisor who quoted the job said it was just a language barrier thing. We are unsure exactly how much work was actually done, albeit the wind mit inspector signed off and we were able to submit to our insurance. Beware! The biggest issue we had is the technician damaged our 8-month old impact-rated garage door by closing it manually rather than using the keypad as he was instructed. His dirty handprints were all over the soffits and stucco on the front of our house (where he could not access via the attic due to a vaulted ceiling) and on the inside of our garage door. LGT initially took responsibly and a field supervisor came out to repair the door. Once the supervisor arrived, he determined he was unable to repair it himself, because it is an impact door, the dent was in between two panels, and it would potentially void our warranty. The supervisor said he had talked to the tech and the tech "didn't deny" causing the damage. The supervisor agreed that the best course of action was to have the original installer come access the damage and provide an estimate for repair. The repair estimate was over $1500 because both damaged panels have to be replaced. Once LGT/Third Nail Guy received the repair estimate their management's story changed to "the tech did even touch our door"; they tried to blame our roofers (who didn't even start work until 3 days after the Third Nail tech was there); and said, "without a video" they were not willing to stand behind their work. I suggested they come do fingerprint analysis because his dirty handprints are still on the inside of our garage door! We offered to share all the voicemails and emails from the supervisors who initially took responsibility, photos of the tech's handprints all over, and not once did LGT/Third Nail Guy management review any of that. Unfortunately, we're going to have to take them to small claims.

I first had contact with Guzman through research online, I wanted a family owned business, when I had water damage in my kitchen in a house I closed on a month prior. As you can imagine, as a new homeowner, money was tight and I was at a hard place. I contacted Mr.Guzman with Guzman Drywall and he immediately came out, provided a quote to fix all drywall, cabinets, instillation, and flooring. I was expecting a bill close to $20,000. Not only did Guzman give me the fairest quote less than half I was expecting, he also told me he would paint the ceilings and walls due to me just moving in and It would look better with the new flooring for still under half my original budget. Later on we had issues with my mothers A/C duck work and a company came in and fixed the air handlers to her side of the residence (mother in law suit). The company would not fix the damage to the ceiling (this is typical with AC contractors - they will sup contract It out for alot of money). Guzmen was aware that my mother was suffering from cancer treatments and she needed this work done ASAP to help in her conferet and recovery. He was over instantly and completed the work, painter her celining and all the walls in her living area, bathroom, and ceiling. When he and his team was done with the work It looked like It was a new build!!! All I can say if you want a honest company and family owned company, I would 100% suggest using Guzman Drywall and Remodeling. Their limits of what they can build/repair and there character go beyond words.
