Wayne Wiles tiled my new home in Sarasota and let me tell you what the H** happend to work ethic and integrity?! Literal 4ft cracks, uneven tile, no membrane, hollowing throughtout the entire house, glue everywhere, ruined baseboards, caulking, molding and peeling. Repair dept. NO SHOWED multiple times. Carpet and flooring installation- very poor communication after assuring us we would have the "A" team for installation. We had installers we could not communicate with. We were given a time frame for their arrival and they would not arrive, not call. We had to keep calling the store. It took two days for the flooring people to even show up then the work was done poorly and had to be redone and of course they were four hours late to redo it the second time. The carpet was installed but had areas that pulled up and we again had to call, wait past assigned timeframes to have someone come and make additional repairs. The store never apologized for the poor service, never offered any cost reduction despite the poor service and multiple lost days we spent waiting for their teams to arrive. I would not recommend this store for carpet or flooring. read more

I recently had the carpet removed from 3 bedrooms and replaced with tile. Jim Palmere was able to find my tile and told me that a crew would install it and it would be done in 4 days. He said they would work on Saturdays and that I didn't have to remove the big pieces of furniture as they would just move it from one side of the room to the other. None of this was true. My tiling crew existed of one person, Tiago. I can't give enough praise to Tiago for the wonderful job he has done. But the problem I had with Wayne Wiles is he never had any help. I had to help move some of my furniture as I didnt want it damaged. Not expecting to have a king bed, desk, dresser, queen bed, 3 night stands and set of twin beds taken apart and placed in my living and kitchen area. Instead of 4 days being tied to the house, it took a full 8 days and another morning to rebuild and replace all my furniture. Most places work 8-5 but Tiago worked 10-11 hour days every day. I couldn't go anywhere. I had to say in the matter. Wayne Wiles did not care about the huge imposition of taking twice as long to do the job. And this was the week before Easter. I had to reschedule my cleaners due to their being unable to complete my job as told to me by Jim. I'm sorry I cant give a better review, but I am just totally frustrated with what they didn't do. read more

As seen by their response, they have no integrity or ethics. Only one employee came out from the back of the store while I lay stunned on the floor. I gave that employee all my information, as he requested, to give his employer regarding the incident. They claim that employee did not report the incident and no longer worked for them and they could not get a hold of him. In another phone call, they told me the corporate office was reviewing the video tapes. I don't believe in a litigious society and I trust that businesses will behave ethically. As long as I lived in SWFL I had heard Wayne Wiles had the best service and selection of flooring! I was very excited to work with them to select the best floor covering for the stairs in my home. I selected carpeting and worked with a salesperson to measure the area. there always seemed to be a problem... after numerous attempts of trying to get a quote... we heard nothing! Sadly I decided to work on a different project in my home and the stairs will have to wait! Hopefully I will find a more reliable business to work with. Wayne wiles did our tile as a sub contractor in our new home. The workman ship was horrible. From uneven tiles to no grout lines matching up. They came and repaired some areas and it was worse then the first shit job. We have lost the use of our shower multiple times. Please never use this contractor. They promised us but never delivered. Twice the worker borrowed my tools or asked me for advice. Their suppose to come tomorrow to probably do more damage. Stay tuned Went to there showroom today. Soon as they told me i was getting the family discount i had a flash back of used car salesmen. The price they gave us was exactly the same as 3 other local floor stores. So they do not care about the damage they did to repair the shower numerous time. Speaking of damage they ruined/stained over 30 pavers on out brand new driveway. Have the paving Co. I am giving a one star but it should be MINUS. Wayne and Wiles is the same company as Hessler flooring. Hessler sells the products and then dump it into Wayne Wiles and wash their hands. I would give them zero or negative stars if I could. Their customer service is horrendous! It was pulling teeth to get someone responsible to return phone cA two to three week delivery became four to five and when the installers finally showed up (an hour late), they said there was not enough carpet to do the job. I have cancelled my furniture delivery three times now. The sales person Ken should be fired. How can you mismeasure a job? Go straight to Abbey Carpet. Do NOT use Wayne Wiles!!! Ok. So to update, I got a call from a brand new manager named Rocky. He was very apologetic and rectified the issues within a few days. Was very diligent in all aspects of clean up after, washing screens, slider doors, ceiling fans and floors in our home. Managers not only called but stopped by several times during the project! We just had 4 carpeted rooms redone with tile that looks like wood. Three weeks ago we picked out the flooring and paid 1/2. Today the job was finished. The salesman, Ken, was extremely helpful in directing us to the flooring we picked out, came to our home and measured the same day. The installer was from Brazil - he was very methodical in the way he worked - arriving at 7:30 am each day and working until past 5pm. He did an excellent job. Brian, from Wayne Wiles came by everyday to see how the job was progressing. We are EXTREMELY PLEASED from start to finish with Wayne Wiles Flooring. They have been in business I believe for over 60 years here in Ft. Myers. We would highly recommend them. read more

Leo Burley was my salesman. He was not only very helpful but personable as well. My mind was open as to what material was going to replace the carpet in my spare room. If you haven't shopped for floor covering in a while, let me tell you ... things have changed! It's not only a daunting task to choose the style/pattern/look or whatever you call it, you need to choose the product. Today you can buy tile that looks exactly like wood!!!! With Leo's guidance, and his knowledge of what we wanted, we chose Cor-tek (excuse my spelling & even name - I plead ignorance). This stuff is fabulous: warmer than tile and less susceptible to humidity than wood. Order was placed, room professionally laser-measured and deposit (about 50 percent) given. Two weeks later two thoroughly professional guys arrived at the promised time and installed my 10x11 floor in less than four hours. They then replaced all the furniture and spent a good deal of time cleaning up after themselves. I had never had any flooring replaced before and choosing Wayne Wiles was pretty much a coin toss. Avoid Wayne WILes at all costs. Installed carpet and was installed very half ass with areas on the edges loose from the walls, not stretched, not tacked down. They came back to do it right and the installers tore the carpet (yes, tore it in several spots) and just left. At the same time they were installing backsplashes in my brand new kitchen in my brand new house and they tore the heck out of the front on my new cabinets. The owner's response - placed a lien on my house as I withheld a portion of the payment until they fixed the issue. Which never happened. They were complete jerks about all of it. I stayed reasonable and nice through the whole process as I just wanted my new house to be new, not starting out with torn up cabinetry and carpet. The owner himself could absolutely care less. False advertising. Please read the contracts, especially the small prints. Salesperson very nice and friendly, however, after the sale, very slow to return phone calls. Company salesperson promises a lot and never delivers. Be very careful with engineered wood. Cupping and warping may occur even without moisture (documented in wood magazine). The whole process was very smooth and performed in a timely manner. The representative that quoted our project was very kind an helpful and the tile installer that was sent to our home to install tile in our two bedrooms was very kind, respectful, and he did a wonderful job. His attitude when we pointed out a couple of tiles that needed to be replaced after being set was most notable. He graciously and with a smile replaced them and stayed until we were completely happy with the finishes. They also made sure to clean up after themselves. I hired Wayne Wiles to install a new floor in my condominium unit in Legends in Fort Myers. The person who assisted me is Sydney Leete. Sydney met with me and showed us several options for flooring. We made a product selection. Sydney was extremely helpful and knowledgeable about the products. She is very professional, polite and cordial. She promptly responded to any of my communications both by phone and text. She also assisted me in procuring the homeowners association approvals by providing all of the necessary information about the product and the Wayne Wiles Company. The installation was performed and my wife and I are very satisfied with the beautiful flooring and the installation. Sydney went to the extra effort of personally providing small flooring protectors under the furniture as I had requested. I recommend Wayne Wiles Company and Sydney Leete highly and would definitely choose them again. I called, left messages, requested a call back. NOTHING. If they did not want my business, fine. If they felt they couldn't give me what I wanted, fine.
