Started out ok Tom seemed knowledgeable with a reasonable estimate. He was asked to install rolled…read morevinyl, replace trim, prime and paint bathroom walls ceiling and trim. When he came to inspect for estimate he recommended luan over the floor. When it came time to actually install the vinyl it was clear that he did not review the manufacturer recommendation. He kept wanting to do a loose lay or perimeter only bond. The manufacturer was clear that it was a full spread glue down. I called and emailed the manufacturer to verify and shared the information with him including the full documentation of how to install the floor. He didn't want to use primer before the glue. He didn't make the proper relief cuts leaving the site with vinyl going up the side of the wall and tub. I did make the cuts after he left when I noticed it and pushed the glue out. After gluing down the floor he said it might bubble up due to the vdc from the underlying vinyl floors I commented maybe that's why they recommended a primer. He also recommended putting the luan over the other two vinyl floors when he could have recommended complete tear out of the underlying floors. We discussed putting more sub floor under the bathtub as there was a gap that wasn't previously shimmed. He later spray foamed under/inside the tub without asking me first. I advised him that my previous tub cracked due to the use of spray foam and that I hope this spray foam doesn't do the same. When it came to the finish paint there were a number of run, paint on the window, light, bathtub, and cabinets that were not intended to be painted. I cleaned some of it up with rubbing alcohol. At this point I was not pleased with the workmanship because it lacked craftsmanship. I know my 10 year old could do a better job painting. I advised Tom that I would find someone else to complete the trim and fix the other concerns I brought up. He was upset and let me know that he felt he wasn't done with the job. I let him know that I don't want him back to the house. I give 2 stars because maybe he would have done better but I really couldn't afford to have someone continue that I would have to constantly supervise and point out that paint shouldn't be left to run or that relief cuts should be made before glueing down vinyl not after the glue dries.

But…read morewhen he gets into the job & finds out the real problem, He acts like his original estimate is correct & doesn't accept responsibility for his misdiagnosis. If I'd known the real problem, I would've paid a little extra to have it fixed correctly. But Mike charged me for the original quote & didn't explain that he'd made a mistake. So we still have the exact same leak we had before Mike charged us $3,430 for a leak proof basement (an airtight seal was promised in our original estimate. He said there'd be an apocalypse or the world would end before water leaked into the basement after his fix), & he claims now that we should've gotten a new door "like he suggested". He really said that we would eventually need to change our door. He didn't say, after getting into the problem, that the door was actually the cause of the leak, because our front door was beginning to rot, from the original owners trying to hide the leak in our basement. He just acted like that was a separate problem. Once the leak came back (in the same exact places & the same intensity), Mike wants to claim ignorance ("oh I said once I got under the porch that you need to change your door, but you didn't want to"). Total BS. He's a scammer!!!!I And I've given him weeks to actually be an honest person & fix the problem. So now we have to sue him to get our money back & report him to the BBB with proof of the real fix to our leak & his promises in our original quote. Don't fall his nice guy act!

He showed up & took his ladder off the truck which I thought was to examine the amount of debris in the gutters for the estimate. Instead he took a bucket up & started to clean the gutters without giving an estimate first. He said, his pressure wash equipment was stored away for the winter but would remove the debris from all the gutters & 2 clogged downspouts by hand for $150. which I agreed to. He finished & I paid him. After he left I checked my home security cameras & didn't see him clean the upper level gutter above my backyard deck that runs the length of the house. I checked went on the deck & could see leaves overflowing in the gutter which is right next to a mature maple tree. I called Tyler & he came out a couple of days later & finished the job. I then asked him to give me an estimate to pressure wash my large retaining wall & back cement patio for the following Spring. He measured the retaining wall & patio & I never got the estimate until I emailed him in the Spring. The half done gutter cleaning job & having no pressure washing equipment wasn't so much the problem I had with this company it's this. I was blown away when I received the estimate $1,535! I checked average cost on both Google & Angie's List to do an entire exterior of a one story house which was $150.-$750. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY THERE A RIPOFF!!!

It was a big job and they also ran into some issues with rot which they were able to fix. Josh and Cam were great to work with! Their communication throughout the project was great and they worked hard to get it done on time. They had great attention to detail and we really felt we could trust that they were doing quality work that would last, not just rushing through the job.
