I came here early on a Saturday and was very glad to learn that they open up at 8 o'clock in the morning. I needed some parts for a faucet that I am rebuilding, and this was the only place that I knew of that might have what I needed. I am not an expert in rebuilding faucets or the parts but thankfully, these people are! I came in and had my old parts with me, and they knew exactly where to go and what to get to fix what I needed. I had my parts in no time and some guidance on how to perform the repair. It is almost impossible to come in here for the parts section and not be lured into the show room. In fact, it's a big open gateway from the parts area to the show room and so it's kind of natural to wander into there. When I did that was when I was met by a sales person named, Mariam. I have a kitchen faucet situation where the faucet that is in my kitchen that needs to be replaced is kind of an old-school faucet, and I have had difficulty finding options to replace it and yet I want to replace it with something similar because of the holes that are drilled in my granite countertops. Mariam was quick to find me solutions and even had a few different options that I can go with. She was knowledgeable and helpful and very pleasant to work with. I have not yet fully decided what I'm going to do, so I held back from ordering one on this particular visit, but I will not hesitate to come back either for the parts to rebuild my old one like I am doing with the bathroom faucet or buy a entire new faucet. My experience was great. I reached out to check on a hot water heater replacement quote and I spoke to Julio (Oak Lawn location) and Spencer (Richardson location) and both of these guys were nice and addressed all my questions and concerns. We worked with Apex to procure the fixtures for our shower in our newly renovated master bath. We are happy with the Kohler fixtures that were installed, but Apex is just a supplier, so you're paying extra verse ordering direct from manufacturer for just three things: 1) see the product in person in a showroom 2) receive expert help in product selection 3) ensure you have all the right materials, and get it fixed if you don't Apex failed on 2/3 of their value propositions to us. After paying nearly $300 for a simple 24" pipe recommended by Apex, they delivered it missing its cover plate. Worse, it was a poor recommendation to begin with, as two feet was much too long and positioned the rain head too low. As with most construction projects, we didn't realize this until plumbing install day. Immediately, we called Clayton, our showroom consultant. No answer, so we left a voicemail. We called the next day. Clayton was on vacation, so we talked to a colleague. She "didn't want to mess with his files," so she couldn't help us. Ultimately, we ordered a correctly sized pipe off Amazon for $12. Yes, $12. What's the difference between the $300 pipe and $12 pipe? $288 -- other than that, I couldn't tell ya. Anyways, no one ever did get back to us. After the project, we tried to return the world's priciest pipe. They wouldn't take it because it was missing the plate that they didn't deliver. Had it not been missing the plate, they would take it for a 25% restock fee. This place is a scam. Order from the manufacturer or an online retailer that will take a return. Hopefully I ate that $300 so you don't have to. read more

Purchased 3 Kohler faucets to remodel 3 bathrooms back in September 2022. Today, the drain plug for one of the faucets broke. With Kohler, you must have your receipt of purchase in order to be eligible for the lifetime warranty. I could not find the receipt, so I called the Richardson Apex Supply dealer and they were willing and able to send me a copy of the original receipt. As a result, I was able to get Kohler to send me the replacement part for free. Apex was a great help to me. read more

We remodeled a bathroom and purchased about $1400 in Kohler products from them. Within a 2 years a faucet had a defect and upon contacting them a replacement part was ordered. It was the wrong part. I showed the part that was needed from a parts breakdown diagram. The representative told me since I had pulled the old part out it would invalidate the warranty and that he did not know about part breakdowns and could not help me. I contacted Kohler and they informed me the warranty was not invalidated. read more

At least my fifth trip to this location in a couple of years. We've done two bathrooms and needed a new kitchen faucet. My experience has always been excellent. Today, Clayton was very helpful and quite knowledgeable. The one star off is because I don't see justification for a 15% restock fee for items that are kept in stock and come back within a few days with original packaging intact. It does help to know the basics about what you're shopping for, but I've always been pleased with how my questions were answered and how I've been treated. read more

I'm in the process of refurbishing bathrooms and the kitchen in a rental house. The house was built in 1987 so many of the plumbing fixtures are out of date or nasty. We looked everywhere to find replacement parts that would match the existing decor with no luck until we found Apex Supply. One of their representatives bent over backwards to help us get everything we needed. However, the last piece we needed was a faucet for a Jacuzzi tub. The original installers custom made a faucet but it was completely grodded out. The only replacement we could find was a special order part for $250, yowsa! Then the sales associate told me to hold on and she went rummaging through their old stock and found a surplus faucet that she thought might work. She gave it to me free of charge and said give it a try. Well it worked and saved me $250!!! Thanks Apex, I'll definitely be back! read more

Great selection - poor attitudes. Evidently no one wants your business in this establishment. You sign in to a marker-board when you get there, and then the sales staff is very aloof and irritated to work with you. You need to already know what you want, because the staff I encountered did not want to educate on the options and is more interested in making a layperson feel bad about terminology than in making a sale. FYI, a wall mounted Roman Tub spigot is a "filler" not a "faucet". Evidently Kohler doesn't know that either, because I spent a lot of money elsewhere on a Roman Tub Faucet instead of buying it at APEX after being huffed at for calling it such - still hundreds less than my quote there. I was not shown a variety between brands and was quoted what I am sure was the highest priced option. Not one explanation was given of the options/differences. read more

Lauri Wells at Apex in Richardson was the sales associate that helped me with my order. She helped me pick out the perfect tub, faucets, shower system and toilet for my bathroom remodel project. She made sure that I purchased all the parts necessary and it made the project go smoothly. My bathrooms were nearly complete and we had an issue today with the toilet install and it was resolved by texting the Apex main phone number with an explanation of our issue. Spenser text us right back and sent us an instruction sheet. We sent Spenser pictures and he ended up calling us to tell us what we needed to do and the problem was solved! I will definitely use Apex again because their customer service is top notch! read more

I purchased a new Kohler toilet from Apex and had it installed by a third party plumbing company. Since it was guest bath it was not used until 3 days after it was installed. That evening I noticed a puddle of water on the floor so I contacted the plumber who came out that same morning to re-seat the toilet. Before leaving back to work I check the toilet just to make sure that there were no issues and found water again. Fortunately the plumber was still out front. After inspecting the toilet, it turns out that there was a pin whole in the throat of the toilet (a casting defect). I immediately called Apex and was advised that they had another in stock and would replace the bowl assembly under warranty and that I cud just bring the defective bowl back once it was re-installed. Since this happened over Christmas, I just need to see if Apex will assist with getting Kohler to pay for the re-installation since it was not their fault the bowl was defective. read more

I actually found a place that did not want my business. I need 'Kohler' parts - Saturday they said come Monday. Monday they had zero interest in searching for the part number and said go somewhere else. I received a business card from 'Dirrick' - I don't know if this was the actual guy helping or not. For a place that advertises to be Kohler Distributer - you would think they would at least have some interest. I'll never take my business here and will encourage others to go else where. read more

If I could give this place zero stars I would. I ordered a Delta brushed nickel shower head and a stainless steel showerhead was ordered but the sales person. My sales person was Theresa and she was absolutely unprofessional. I had to call to follow up to see if my part was in, my husband then drove all the way down there to pick up the part to find out it was wrong. They said they would order the right one and call us when it came in. 7 days later my husband again has to call Teresa to hunt down if our part was there. Again we had to do the follow up. Guess what? They ordered the wrong part again and then inform us there is no brushed nickel option for the item we already purchased. So now my husband has to drive all the way back down there and either get a refund on his order which we already paid for or order another part and have to drive all the way back down there again. We won't give this place our business again. If you can't follow up with your customers when you shouldn't be in customer service. As in serve us. read more

The sales person didn't explain very much and seemed to rush me. It wasn't the experience I was hoping for given the prices in this place. The cheapest option for a rain head shower was $1200. Huh??! And don't go without an appt. there were 2 sales people on a Saturday and they work by appt so if you just walk in, you won't get help.
