Thanks to Kelly Sobol I have a brand new cook top. Unfortunately,my current top suffered a crack in the glass at only 2 years old. Past warranty, the manufacturer would do nothing. So,ive suffered for several years as the crack grows. Recently a piece broke off dictating I get a replacement. My new MO is buy from Mom and pop locals if possible. I want to have a resource available to walk into and look,feel,smell the offering. Also,I believe small operators in general want to protect their business and reputation and are inclined to be a better resource. July, 2019 - After my 3 year old Maytag Bravos washing machine blew a bearing, I had 2 separate appliance repairmen tell me that it would be cheaper to buy a new one rather than repair it. I asked for brand recommendations and was told "Speed Queen." So I went to Rodenbaugh's and looked at a variety of washing machines and I decided on the Speed Queen washing machine and then also bought the matching electric dryer. The features on both appliances and the warranty are what sold me on the set. My salesman (John Campbell?) was very knowledgeable and professional. I bought the set 7/8/19 and they were delivered the next day! I had an excellent experience shopping at Rodenbaugh's! Great first impression (Apr 2015). In business since 1962. Recommended by company remodeling our house. Bought a dishwasher and later a washing machine. Local store in Allen. Knowledgeable staff (one salesman had 10 yrs at store) about appliances. Dishwasher was bought with extended warranty that if not used in 5 ys from purchase would be refunded to us. Glad we had warranty as dishwasher pump broke down after 2 yrs + and one phone call to Rodenbaugh's got the repair in progress. Lucky us that the repairman had the specific dishwasher pump motor on his truck. Not usually stocked as too many variations among manufacturers. Dishwasher was installed day after purchase. With new appliances installed they took away the old ones so homeowner isn't bothered with disposal. read more

We went to Rodenbaugh's in April 2021 and selected new tile, countertops, fixtures etc for a remodel project of our master bath and kitchen. The designer was very friendly and helpful during the initial visit. They then came to our home on May 3, 2021 to measure for the project. We were told to expect a written estimate for our project within the following few weeks. We checked back in with the designer on May 29, June 18, and August 18 to ask for an update on our estimate. Each time we were given various excuses for the delays such as they were behind due to lack of contractors, shipping delays, etc etc. So here we are 8 months after our measurements and selections and we still don't even have the ESTIMATE! I would not want to move forward with this company for our remodel even if we ever heard back at the point. Very poor communication. We wanted to support a local Allen business, but will definitely look elsewhere at this point. read more

Ronald Rodenbaugh has gone above and beyond any business I know of to repair customer relations. After I made known how unhappy I was with the service, Ronald had a repair guy out the next day to finish the job. Ronald also followed up by offering a refund. My dishwasher is back to doing what it needs to do without any problem, and I think I'm now in the market to buy an oven from Rodenbaugh's. My wife and I recently had flooring put in our home. Debbie Tackett helped us decide what flooring to put in 3 areas of our home. We initially wanted to put in hardwood flooring, but with a dog she recommended a fabricated flooring that looks exactly like hardwood but is easier to maintain. She was absolutely right! We found out our company was relocating us to California so we needed to get our house ready to sell quickly. We were updating our kitchen and having trouble replacing the oven because it was an oven/microwave combo and all other stores (Lowes, Home Depot ...) said it would take to long to order it. She was SO nice, and SO helpful ... it was some of the best customer service I've had in a long time. She made sure they delivered quickly to meet our deadline. I needed a large capacity, heavy duty (commerical grade) washer. I was so disappointed everywhere I went until going to Rodenbaugh's. I found my appliance store for life! I explained everything I needed in a washer and the salesman found me the perfect washer. I was exactly what I wanted. I was struggling with the price though. Roddenbaugh's was about $100 less than everywhere else, but wanting a commerical series it still was expensive. The salesman told me taht they had an outlet behind the main store and I should check there. I foud the EXACT washer in last year's model, but still new, for $200 less than the main store. Saved $300 total, got exactly what I wanted and I am a customer for life! Even the main store has great prices. Would send any of my friends to Rodenbaugh's! read more

We had a bad experiences with our hardwood floors installed after we had a water leak in the house. Floor is not level and now we have have separation of the wood floor planks. We had requested that Rodenbaugh install the floor with our insurance company because of their reputation. So far we are very disappointed with the workmanship. read more

They replaced a microwave and oven combination with a double oven in 2011. The installation tech told my husband not to preheat them at the same time. At the time i thought that was odd, there was nothing in the manual that said this. We have had nothing but trouble ever since. Both ovens will not heat at same time and even if you try to heat one oven, it will not stay at the set temperature and takes forever to get there. You have to turn oven off and start over to see what the correct temperature is. They have replace boards, etc but could never fix it. I started to think that it was a power problem. So i called out an electrician. They said that the current curciut for the oven was 30 amp and this oven required at least a 40 amp breaker. Also the wiring to the oven could not support the increased load. We had the electrical fixed and now both ovens preheat to desired temp and stay there in less than 5 minutes. DO NOT LET THEM do any appliance replacement. They did not do their due diligence in this case and let us know that the power need was different. I am sure that they knew. Why would the tech tell us not to turn them on at the same time, if they did not know. Very upset about this. Why is it today that no one does their job! I love to cook when i have time. Now i can, 5 years later!!!!!!!! If i could post a negative number rating i would. read more
