Wow! I am not from this area, so I am unfamiliar with this location. Frankly, I usually shop at Lowe's. BUT, I have to say that this location has an amazing team!They were pleasant, cheerful, caring, laughing and working hard, and knowledgeable! I had more than one associate come up to me and asked if I need help and it was an hour before closing time! That NEVER happens! Kudos to the cashier Joanna, Isiah, Daniel, Christie, and the rest of the people that helped me out tonight with such a big purchase of major tools and large plants!! Went today because we saw an add that said in stores now. Online only. Okay that pissed me off a bit. It said in stores now. But I'll check again. Went to get some brushes and paint. 3 workers. 1 mixing paint. With a lady waiting. 2 and 3 just shooting the shit on a Saturday morning. The older guy. In shorts and ragged torn white t shirt and a very rotund belly was literally jumping up and down and spinning while me and a man that was also waiting to be helped just staring at him. We must have waited 10 minutes. The guy that had a customer already finished up and offered to help me. At this the rotund guy jumps in how can I help you. I told him NO this young man right here in front of me will help me. You wasted 10 minutes doing ballet while me and this gentleman waited to be served. He got a little upset I didn't want HIS help now . Idk who the boss is here at this store but really? It was a busy morning in there. And you got old men dancing instead of helping. Needs training! Thanks to the young man! He got me what I needed and I went on my way. And I'm all for good times at work but not when ppl are standing around waiting for you to help us. Or at least ask us what we need. I needed paint samples. My second need is that they just let the plants die. Nobody takes care of them properly. Dead and almost dead is what you get here. Sad. I waited 15 minutes for them to have someone help me load some landscaping rock and nobody ever came. The girl in landscaping seem to not really care, and they weren't even busy when I asked them For help. This is so frustrating. when the young guy finally did walk up, he was on his cell phone and I asked him if he would be helping me and he said no and he walked past me and went to the register and he was supposed to help me, he didn't care....... read more

We went in tonight to get a covering for our plants so they don't freeze. Immediately as we walk in a gentleman working at the customer service desk ( Kevin) was standing by the faucet covers. I asked him a question and he ignored us. We walked on to the gardening section to purchase plant covering and couldn't find an employee to help us at first then Kevin came around the corner assisting other customers. We waited for him to finish to ask for assistance in finding the coverings. He didn't ask us if we needed help just walked off. Very unprofessional. Since Home Depot is not a hardware store like Elliot's, Ace, McCoys, etc., this review is as it relates to other Home Depot stores and Lowe's. And, with that, I cannot say enough good about this HD location. Every time I've sought help, and when necessary patiently waited my turn to approach an associate, I've been given first class assistance! Specifically, I would like to acknowledge: Tito and Kim at the Pro Desk, Maria and Rob in Customer Service, Aaron and Jose with their help loading out my truck and, Vaign in Plumbing! Thank you all over the past year!! So, unlike the other neighborhood-type hardware stores mentioned above, Home Depot - in general - has a limited bulk hardware section. And, I think because of personnel turnover, the bulk section in HD tends to appear lacking in stock availability of items shown on bin drawers labels. That said, I am still able to find most of the things I need to do the home repair and remodeling I do. The key to having a positive experience at Home Depot is to be patient, understand that many others are also in a time crunch to complete their own construction jobs and if you're needing something specific, ASK! Just a reminder of why I should always shop at Lowe's. I wanted to make an exchange 6 days after purchase--had decided a more expensive model would be best after all. Called corporate to ensure that would be possible. The agent seemed confident I could work something out with the store manager, and suggested going in person. I didn't want to go just to end up wasting time, so I tried to call the store manager instead. The store's customer service tried to forward my call, but the call rerouted right back to them. Grand. So, I went in person to try my luck, but the store manager didn't even bother to speak to me. I was dismissed with the citing of a policy that applies to broken/defective items, even though I explained the item was neither broken nor defective. It's my own fault, really. I already know Home Depot is a trash heap, but had ordered through them anyway. Fortunately, GE's customer service actually sounded delighted to help me, especially after hearing Home Depot wanted nothing to do with it. read more

I was in your store today (04/22/24) I needed assistance to find a simple hook ceiling for my plant at home. I asked one gentleman and he sent me down an isle that was not the particular hook I was looking for (but he was fine and very informative and asked me if I wanted a plain or decorative hook and made the mistake of saying simple instead of decorative, which that was my fault) I proceeded to ask another guy and before I could ask a simple question which would have been a simple response he totally dismissed me because he proceeded to tell me "I'm already assisting someone else your going to have to wait." I was taken back by his aggressive attitude as if I were inconveniencing him, and before I could speak again he said "it's going to have to wait!" I finally got assistance from a wonderful and nice part-time associate who helped me out and went above and beyond. I saw the guy who spoke down to me and he didn't even say anything to me (just walked by without a word) I pointed him out to the guy who was helping me asking who he was, it turns out he is a supervisor by the name of Micheal Taylor, I could NOT believe he was a supervisor and talked to me the way he did. I'm a general manager of a department store and have enough respect for those who come in my store to address people in a respectful way. I think this man needs some formal training on manners. read more

It feels like the people working here actually enjoy their job. I have been remodeling slowly over the last year and continue to come back here. I went on-line and ordered quarter round in May 8th expecting to pick it up at the store that afternoon because it said that it was in-stock. When I got to the store they said they did not have it and it will be ordered and would not be there until May 21. They would not let me cancel it. They said that I would have to wait until they receive it. Then in the long weeks waiting for it they changed the delivery time 3 times. I did not get it until May 28. Oh and get this I wrote the same review on their website and the rejected it so no one could see it. Will not be back to Home Depot. Recommend going to Lowe's instead of you want to be treated right. read more

Kudos to associate Scott...he truly went above and beyond the call of duty to help me purchase an area rug after I had been searching for months to find the right one. It was the last one, had no price, and I had been trying for 2 weeks to get a price on the rug. He worked with management to locate the information and gave me a more than fair price, and this wasn't even his department! I had to come out and buy a new screen door for our back patio as our dog busted through ours. I wondered how they would be handling the traffic on a Saturday during a pandemic, but was pleasantly surprised. The line outside the door was at least 30-40 people long but went by in no time (10 min?). They are using handheld technology to keep the number of people in the store below a certain threshold. Therefore, it was not crowded in the store and I had no fear about being shoulder-to-shoulder with anyone. Best of all, I received the best customer service from Bill in the doors department who spent time with me explaining the door options, helped me find proper drill bits to install the door, and even printed out an installation guide for me. He then went all the way up front and helped me load my new door in my vehicle. I was in and out of the store in 1 hour and I couldn't have been happier. Especially Steve in the paint department, he is very knowledgeable in his work, he is not afraid to experiment as long as you are game, we had to tried 3 times to get the color that they didn't have but the third try was a charm. I came there to buy a grill. When I needed help on finding the liquid for charcoal to make fire, no one helped me out even though I kept asking. I asked the lady in the back, she told me come ask in the front. When I came to the front, I asked them again, then they called someone in the back. Finally I went home without getting what I need. I purchase a double wall oven on 8/31/2019. When scheduling delivery I was asked my preference, Morning or afternoon, I choose Morning. Then they send and email the day before at 5:30 and they scheduled afternoon, I had made commitment that I could not reschedule. For the afternoon So contact them to rescheduled for the next week, which they tell me they can't guarantee the preference. So , I went ahead and took the whole day knowing I had work responsabilités I could not change but assume I could take care of them remotely. So they show up during the hour meeting I had online, when finished , sill on meeting, so signed paperwork, assuming they tested everything. Turn on the oven that evening , it makes a horrendous noise. Start thinking maybe it is normal while it is warming up , but once it reach desire temperature , still so noisy. Every review state the oven is quiet. So , I call customer service, they then state the warranty needs to be activated. So connect me with GE, who schedule a technician appt , 2 weeks later. When technician come he diagnose problem is the fans, state he will order some and leave. A week later seating at my door is the fans, try to reach them but no phone number in any of the email. Assumed GE will contact me back to schedule an install. Nothing but suddenly while at work I get text technician is in the way!! But was never contacted to schedule the visit. Finally by answering their text I get a number. Call them to schedule another install. Technician shows up and state , the oven was install wrong there is no way to replace the part. Call them back , yet the Wylie store decide to schedule another technician!! So , call GE back who then contact Home Depot and schedule delivery of a replacement. Replacement arrived today but is damaged I'm told, delivery crew apologize and leave. This Has been going on for 2 months... Now they want me to wait another week! This is the worst experience ever, just never would I have dreamed having this kind of experience. read more

I went 4 times to buy a washer and 3 times I had to search for someone to help and when finding someone I was either told to wait while paperwork was being processed in the appliance area or the rep was not able to process my paperwork after waiting 35 minutes in the customer service line and asked to go wait back in the appliance area with one appliance rep who was obviously over burdened by my request to purchase a washer. read more

I love that it still has that small town feel every time I come here. I can walk in and still see most of all the same people working there that have been there since it opened and I really like that. Friendliness is off the chart and products speak for themselves. I visited the Wylie Home Depot in search of a refrigerator for my new home. As it turned out the power was out in most of the store when I got there and had been for several hours. In spite of this I was helped right away in the appliance department. I found the one I had seen in the sale ads and was taken to the service desk to purchase it and arrange for delivery. This was the only computer that was functioning in the store but every one was amazing and gracious and I have great respect for the management and employees of this store. read more

Come to this store for anything but not paint. For paint go to Lowes. This Wylie Home Depot has employees in the paint dept that will yell at you when they mess up. No one wants to do business with snarky employees with an attitute. The paint dept manager yelled at me for him not hearing I asked for exterior paint. He says he can multitask; however, the issue is he can't hear the entire paint request since he is only focusing on your conversation 50% of the time.. read more

So today I was told at Home Depot in Wylie they would no longer take my license as form of ID showing I am a Veteran? You have to show your DD214 at DMV for this to be put on you license. DMV is very strict about this. I left and went to Lowe's where I had no problems finding the same items and using my license. Hope your taking note Home Depot. I went to this store to buy three SAE bolts and nuts. I needed them 2-1/2 in length. Guess what? Nope, aint got. But the computer says we got 100... So, the computer says you've got them, but you obviously don't and meanwhile while you cannot maintain your inventory, I make a wasted trip. And don't think that you just lost out on my $5 purchase. Nope. You lost out on my water heater, my paint, my Christmas decorations and the lumber I need for my deck. Thank's so much Home Depot in Wylie. That was my last trip to you. As they say, I have other places to shop and I will. And ordinarily I wouldn't post something like this, but when I complained to the guy at the customer service counter, he suggested that I go on line and post a bad review of the store.
