This teamwork also stretches outside of the classroom, with Master Cooley asking if there is anything that he can help address while the student is in class time. Testing The testings are done as a group by belt rank. When it has come time to break the boards, if there is a student(s) who are struggling to achieve it in the initial round, there is a rising positive support by the classmates, along with the audience towards the student. Class Schedule Many different time slots are available to increase the opportunities for students to make it to at least 2 classes a week (2-3 per week are recommended). Overall, I would recommend KTA if one is looking for a solid place to attend if interested in the Taekwondo branch of martial arts.

I have two kids, ages 7yrs and 9yrs…read moreattending the Carmel location and although our experience here is only a few months, I have see very impressive instruction from not only Master Yoo (he instructs at every class my kids are in) but also the very dedicated, professional, and skilled black belt instructors. There are typically 5 instructors for a class of 15 students so the student/teacher ratio is outstanding. Aside from defensive and combative techniques taught, my kids are grasping the concepts of eye focus, brain focus, and body focus and are expected to pain attention and follow instructions, which has always been an uphill battle for me. That said, it IS costly (but well worth it for us) and the time commitment is not necessarily conducive for most. But still, if it is a commitment that works for your family, I would highly recommend Master Yoo's.
