If you've never kickboxed before. The movements feel a bit awkward at first, but once your body gets used to it (after the first 10-15 minutes), the movements feel more natural and powerful. The staff is extremely friendly and supportive. They are available and very willing to answer any questions you have and provide guidance on your form. Prior to starting here, I had never kicked or punched a bag nor anyone. I'm so glad I tried it! If you're interested in trying the class, they have a great introductory package. For $20, you get 3 kickboxing classes and kickboxing gloves. After that, they offer a unlimited month class package or a 10 or 30 pack of classes.

I originally went in to inquire about the Fitness Kickboxing program and was able to spend some time speaking with Sensei George Nae. After talking for a while about my goals and reasons for looking into the program, he suggested that the Martial Arts program might suit me better. I gave it a try and have not looked back since. The facility is amazing, the programs (Fitness, Martial Arts and Martial Arts for kids) are all well rounded and enjoyable but my favorite part is the sense of community here. The people are friendly, supportive and amazing. It makes it easier to stick to a goal for fitness or MA specifically when you have similar minded people who are working for the same things in your corner cheering you on. I would definitely recommend HMA for Martial Arts, Fitness, or kids programs.

Great BJJ classes with incredibly knowledgeable and qualified coaches. As a total foreigner to…read moremartial arts, I felt very welcomed here from the beginning. After my first month, I feel like I've made large improvements in my grappling ability, cardio, and -frankly- confidence outside of the gym. It takes about a week to get the swing of how practice works and you might not understand how much you're improving at first until you start rolling - which can be within the first couple weeks of consistent attendance and effort. If you're as new to the sport as I am, all you'll need to do is bring a respectful but positive attitude to practice and trust what they're teaching you in class, the tempo and dope submissions will slowly accumulate as you work through the more cornerstone principles they focus on in class. Be ready to sweat, too- it's a great total body workout!

The gym is equipped with state of the art equipment and a big luxurious matted room for all kickboxing and Bjj classes I would highly recommend this gym to anyone wishing to begin in martial arts or to work on themselves both physically and mentally !
