Huge upgrade from your typical theater experience. They also go beyond just movies. There's a full bar, real food (not just popcorn), and everything I've tried has been good -- most recently the BBQ chicken pizza. They also do themed drinks for new releases, which is such a fun touch. I love that they offer $7 Tuesdays (which do sell out fast) and regularly host events. I recently went to their Trailer Fest, and it was a great experience -- tons of previews, food samples, giveaways, and just an overall fun vibe. They also show throwback movies and have a rewards program, so there's always something going on beyond just current releases. Every time I bring someone here, they end up loving it too. There is a splash-pad. There isn't really much shade...but they do have umbrellas at the table. One downside... we could only get cheese pizza. No pepperoni at-least? Like i said, wonderful place. I look back on my time there with extreme fondness and graciousness. I was given a strong, well-rounded training in all dance styles. All of my teachers were wonderful and able to give me a true dance education that made me appreciate the art form that is so often overlooked in our society these days. The owner Emily is amazing and is able to foster a dance studio environment that is strong and safe. My appreciation of dance came from this studio and led me to pursue dance in college. I received my degree in dance from WVU, and I have now gone on to teach dance and inspire the next generation. I always carry the experiences I have from DDH with me as I teach and try to embody the environment I was granted in my childhood. I would feel 100% comfortable recommending this studio to any child/dancer/family.

One hour before the concert, there was a free (30 minute) presentation where the director of music and the pianist told us about the pieces that we would be hearing so that we could appreciate them more. The Maryland Theater is very beautiful and we looked around during intermission. There didn't seem to be a bad seat in the house! The Maryland Symphony also performs at Antietam National Battlefield usually on the first Saturday in July. I've gone to this for many years and it's always worth thelong walk to the field from parking (a shuttle service is also available). They play lots of patriotic music and always end with the 1812 Overture, Stars and Stripes Forever and fireworks!
