I was prescribed medication from my dermatologist which was not carried by my local pharmacy and also not covered through insurance. Even through GoodRx coupons, the medication cost around $900. The doctor transferred my prescription to Apotheco. I received an email notifying me that my prescription was ready, and when I went to check out, it was only $35 and there was an option for free shipping. My medication arrived the next day through a third party courier. The delivery service was seamless and efficient. Highly recommend! read more

This pharmacy was recommended to me by my dermatologist office. I really like their home delivery options. In terms of their home delivery, they always follow up. They call to take payment over the phone, they have automated texts when your prescription is being delivered and reminders to refill your prescription. Their customer service is professional and they always have staff on hand to answer any questions that I may have. Unfortunately, they are not the best if you need a medication filled quickly. They usually follow up and schedule delivery with me within a week or 2. They also use NimbleRx to request refills online and prescription statuses. The site is very limited. read more

It seems this pharmacy has a lot of connections with dermatologists offices (no idea why). From my experience, it's basically a pharmacy with delivery services. I don't even know if they have a storefront. I will say, I don't think they deliver themselves (they have a third party deliver). So far, from the pharmacy themselves....experience has been fine. Transactional but in the best way. I didn't love that when I had a delivery issue, I had to call the pharmacy, who had to call the courier service, and then the pharmacy got back to me. But I guess that's the name of the game. read more

Totally obnoxious customer service. This specialty pharmacy treats adults like children and harrasses people regarding refilling prescriptions for medicines that are elective, often used for cosmetic purposes, etc. They call continuously trying to get you to refill meds, even after asking them not to. Very annoying and inappropriate customer service. read more

Didn't know what to do when my insurance wouldn't cover the three acne meds that my derm prescribed... The derm office then asked if they could send the prescriptions to this pharmacy instead (I originally had it sent to Walgreen). Got all of my acne meds (Retin-A, Seysara, and Aczone) for a total of $135 dollars. Considering the fact that CVS told me I needed to pay over $2,000 for those meds....... I am shookt.. read more

Seamless delivery experience for my prescription drugs. At first, I was uncomfortable with skipping the actual trip to the pharmacy, but they made it easy and quick. Got a delivery literally half a day later for free. If you don't care about losing the option of paying for cash in person, ask your doctor to forward your prescriptions to Apotheco. read more

Easy to reach on the phone. Efficient service, much easier than going to one of the nearby chain stores. Same day delivery and they even ask for your preferred time slot. Most recently they used a coupon-- without my request--to charge me only half the usual price for the expensive cream I use that isn't covered by insurance. I only wish they dealt with medication other than dermatology. read more

Great, reasonably priced pharmacy in NYC. They even offer to deliver your prescriptions to you, free of charge. What gives it 5 stars is I actually had an issue with one of my prescriptions exploding upon opening the cap, which made me lose about 20% of the cream. Apotheco kindly offered to replace the cream for free. Highly recommend this pharmacy! read more

Apotheco has been my go-to pharmacy for my acne medications over the last year. Customer service is great and they usually are able to deliver the prescriptions to my work building (in Midtown Manhattan) within a few hours of calling. They handle communications with your health insurance very seamlessly and also make it very clear how much co-payment is required from you so there are no surprise billings. Overall I have no complaints: they're efficient and easy to work with! They also do deliveries to New Jersey, but that takes a few days. read more

I've been getting my medication from this pharmacy for over a year now and I have nothing but good things to say. They usually contact me the same day or morning after my prescription was ordered and deliver it out to LI within 1-2 days. The customer service reps are always friendly and will go out of their way to ensure you pay the lowest price possible. Truly always a pleasure working with them! read more

Really hate using them - but my doctor always tries to push my medications here. Always a four hour window of when they might deliver things. Got three calls about delivering my medication and everyone seemed confused. Yesterday they apparently "never marked" that I wanted the delivery (but you called 3 times to confirm??) - glad I called again and was asked to wait at home for 4 hours. Yeah right! Finally pressured them into sending it to a traditional pharmacy that's open 24 hours. Your business model is terrible and inconvenient for everyone except for someone that stays at home all day. read more

Never thought I'd ever leave a review about a pharmacy but I just had to for Apotheco. This is the best pharmacy I have ever worked with. Their customer service is impeccable and they truly care about you. I had a confusing issue with my health insurance company and Apotheco took matters into their own hands (specifically Jennifer) to get the issue resolved. There's no other service out in Manhattan that delivers such reliable and timely service. Highly recommend. read more

I've never reviewed a pharmacy before but WOW i really had to for this one! I had an appointment with a dermatologist yesterday and she prescribed some meds which i told her send to my usual pharmacy but she said they might need a P.A so she recommends Apotheco instead. I was skeptical at first since i never had meds delivered before but she's an amazing doctor so i trusted her. Just about 2 hrs after i left the doctor this pharmacy calls me for my info for delivery and how it would arrive in 1-2 days. That was exactly how it went! They kept me updated on delivery through text messages and I got all my prescriptions today!! Truly recommend this pharmacy read more

Excellent place. They know all the coupons and discounts for all dermatological prescriptions. They have saved me literally thousands of dollars over the years. Just today for my prescription, Walgreens wanted $125 with insurance. Same thing was $10 at Apotheco. And they fedex it to you for free! Don't make the mistake of thinking that all pharmacies charge the same. read more

I have never given a review of a pharmacy or any other business. My dermatologist recommended this pharmacy, and sent the prescriptions to them. Amazing customer service and prices. Spoke with Leah who was professional, caring and so informative. Can't believe pharmacies such as this one exist. I hope others will give them a chance. Horrible scam. They do not accept any large insurers (I have one of the biggest in the US so this is garbage) but offer a "discount". Essentially you are paying their above-wholesale prices on Rx's that would only cost you a few dollars or minimally more under your insurance coverage. The home delivery for "free" is simply a hidden cost to you since you are paying out of pocket. I pay for insurance and will gladly make the trip to the pharmacy I trust. read more

Like many others who have already reviewed this pharmacy I felt compelled to give them a great rating because they truly deserve it. The dermatologist I saw just yesterday recommended them for their fair pricing and convenience when I needed rx treatment for a skin condition. I had never used any of the medications before or a pharmacy who delivers so I was skeptical that I would pay less than just using cvs by my house. I was wrong, they applied coupons to my order for me. It was MUCH less than CVS. They delivered it to my office for free within hours even though I didn't reach them until the afternoon. Luis was the delivery person and he was helpful and friendly, calling me to meet him so I could make my train on time. Thank you! read more

They were efficient and followed through even when my insurance dropped the ball. They diligently called me to update me on my insurance's issues, so I didn't have to chase anyone around to get my prescription filled. Other pharmacies would insist that I call my insurance and then call them back, etc, making the process time-consuming and seriously annoying. Instead, Apotheco secured prior authorization within minutes, when my doctors have taken days to do so. Once they secured the authorization, the medication was delivered within two hours. I highly recommend this pharmacy. read more

I seriously love this pharmacy. I wanted to update my review just to reiterate how cordial the employees are here. My insurance had switched so it no longer covers certain medications. I didn't even know this was an option, but the lady I spoke with (Jen) offered to speak with the pharmacist to see if she can sort out the details with my insurance company so they can actually cover my specific medication rather than me having to call my doctor's office to get another version prescribed. Customer service is above and beyond and they're totally patient with all the questions I have regards to price, refills, etc. Delivery is also prompt...usually get it within 1-2 business days. read more

My husband, who is African American, has been given the run around for the last few months with a back ordered medication from Meds. We've shared his story with other patients who are clients of Meds and his treatment is not consistent with their treatment. He is not an Upper East Sider as are the majority of their patients and he has been treated differently from this staff. I do not feel that I need to speak for him, until today when he made another (5 in total) follow up call to get the status of the back ordered medication and was abruptly hung up on when he pointed out a discrepancy in the back ordered dates. This young lady that he spoke with needs to be reprimanded for her actions. This incident happened on 3-12-26 at 1:30 pm. He did not get her name since they would not take his calls afterwards. We consider this a personal incident that may be attributed to his ethnicity. One never knows these days in today's political environment. Our colleagues and clients that use Meds have never had a problem with their customer service and the ones we spoke with also feel that this is personal as well. He has been hesitant to say anything about his experiences with Meds since he is not one for pointing out mistreatment. It is apparent that he is being mistreated by giving him the runaround in order to frustrate him so that he would go elsewhere. I've seen this tactic before. I am the vocal one and he does not know that I am writing this, but I am doing this on his behalf. This is unacceptable and unfortunate but needs to be called out. I hope that the owner Yuhan Ave sees this and takes corrective measures going forward. In the meantime, Meds will not have to worry about my husband stepping foot in their establishment. I hope they are happy! They win!

Today I had to be just one block from this store for a medical appointment, and fortunately there were (only) two bottles available - and their expiration date was *much* more generous. I went to the cashier's counter, and the cashier explained that she needed to have a supervisor handle the exchange (and I'd brought my receipt with me). The shift supervisor was inexplicably *nasty*, and from the very beginning. Meanwhile; she told me she couldn't do an "even exchange" because the flavor was different than the ones I'd purchased (?!) - so she said I'd have to return the ones I'd bought and then purchase the other ones. I told her that I'd used a discount coupon when making the purchase, whereas a "new" purchase would *not* provide the discount. She continued being nasty and suddenly disappeared, and then she *finally* reappeared many minutes later. At that point she told me she'd confirmed with the store manager what she'd told me - but she should have had the courtesy to at least tell me why she was suddenly leaving, and her nastiness was totally inexcusable. Now I'm going to contact the CVS Customer Service Department, but I shouldn't have to waste so much time re: this situation - and most importantly, CVS shouldn't have an employee who's so nasty. (The only reason why I'm giving two stars instead of one is because a very pleasant employee helped me find the location of the pills).

With that dismissive wayward behavior this female associate abruptly walked away from me exactly like COVID-19 pandemic. Why do I need to order online when I am physically here standing in front of you? I am a patron and a loyal long-time customer of CVS corporation with a loyalty rewards card.
