Such a lovely experience! Had a date night out with the hubby and it just so happened to be open a little later. We were greeted by friendly faces that were all wearing masks! And yep even without seeing their mouths; their eyes, tone, and body language welcomed us right in. We had a great time joking and taking about our favorite characters. All of our questions were answered and that included a beer breakdown for my husband. We got a Storm figurine that I am in love with and a few other pieces, included some work by a local artist. I come on Monday nights for their VHS double features, programmed by their awesome bartender, Sean. The drinks are always strong and tasty, and it's fun to watch whatever horror show (genre or disaster) Sean has dug up for our viewing pleasure. There is a back area with games, but I never hang out there. Right now they're doing a "Cringe off" bracket, which might not be everyone's thing, but there's always something interesting! read more

The vintage items in the window caught my eye, as I was walking down the strip. The inventory is a little smaller than other comic stores that I have visited, yet there is something for everyone there. They even have a comedy night, on certain nights. The staff, possibly the owner, was extremely friendly and definitely helpful in terms of telling us places we should visit during our brief stay in town. Even set up the video game system for the ladies to play while they had a few alcoholic beverages. Actually, I was pleasantly surprised that they even served alcohol in a comic book store. It definitely gave something for the misses to do while I roamed the store. For this and many other reasons this store does stand out. read more

Ordered some comics online from this place and they never sent them! Correspondended with them and they assured me that they would get them in from another store and then overnight them to me. That was over 2 weeks ago, and over a month since I placed the order initially. Still haven't gotten the comics. Liars and cheats, the lot of them. read more

Great store if you're interested in going there to pick out a book. But I must warn you to not order anything from them. I ordered 2 volumes of a manga, waited a month, yet nothing. Not even an email up. Don't try to contact them, cause there's no such thing. Their Google phone number doesn't get answered, their contact us option on the site is just for show. I had to personally go to the store to request updates on my order multiple times, then eventually cancelled my order (in person) and requested a refund. Note to store: with the resources of Amazon, most of your customers can easily purchase what they need from them. I only ordered directly with you to show support. If most of your reviews are about bad ordering experiences, I believe you should look into that. My advice: 1. Make it a habit to review and track ordered items daily. A simple excel doc should help. 2. Perform follow ups with your customers. Either email or calls. 3. Train all team members on orders management. Every time I went for an update, they would text a specific person to request the update. read more

If I could give less than zero stars, I would. Do not trust this seller. They will take your funds and claim the books you ordered were lost in the mail. I have asked them for a refund ten times, and the seller refuses to respond. They need to have their business license revoked and should be charged with fraud. read more

This is such a great comic shop. I had stopped buying comics a couple of years ago and I wanted to get back into it. I talked with Steve the first time I came in and he recommended some new stuff for me to try out and helped me set up a pull list so that I wouldn't miss anything. They have a great young adult section and a LGBTQ section. There's even a game section and a manga section. I love that I can pick up my comics and buy a hard seltzer and sit at the bar. I've had really great conversations with the staff and some customers about comics and gaming. This is such a welcoming place. I've seen the staff help people who are just getting into comics and gaming. Seriously, check them out! read more

Okay, how did I not know about this spot for the last year or so that we've lived in Tower Grove East! I'm going to come out and say I am no comics, nor superhero, guru... but this place is cool as hell! Did you know that, although this spot is primarily a comic book store, you can come here, hang out, and enjoy a beer or canned cocktail while listening to comedy? And not just any beer, too. They have beer from Against the Grain Brewing Company, Modern, Earthbound, UCBC, and Old Bakery- just to name a few. Naturally, the also have Busch- so you know who was obviously right at home. On Saturday nights they'll sometimes have local stand up comedy shows. Obviously, the place is full of comics. They have new books, classics, and local work too! If you want to pick up local gifts for the holidays or a friends birthday, this is a great spot- which I wouldn't have guessed! I've got my eye on this cool black and white map of Fox Park. I really enjoy this spot and am excited to come back soon. read more

I absolutely love this place. Everything from the employees to the products are awesome. They went above and Beyond to help me shop safely after my surgery when I really just needed to get out and do something out if the hospital. I use their online store most because I love far away and everything had arrived on time and been perfect. You should definitely check this place out. This store offers comic books for sale online. I purchased a few but only one was shipped. When I inquired about the other books after waiting for 2 weeks, I was ignored. After a few more emails, I finally received a response with an excuse about the store's system "overselling" from last year! They claimed I had a credit, so I provided a list of books and was told they would get right on it. I have not heard from them since, despite several follow up emails. Phone calls to this business go unanswered. This store owner and this store have stolen money and committed fraud by offering items for sale that they knew were not available. This is atrocious behavior from a business and should not be allowed. I am exploring all legal options. read more

So I have a love of older comics (like, 60s and 70s) and I don't keep up much with newer releases. But the employees here do, and won't treat you like an uncivilized beast if you ask questions. They're nice and knowledgeable. It looks small, but it's jam-packed with comic & paraphernalia. They have comics geared to all ages, and comics for every genre, including indie comics and longer graphic novels. I also love how they've got some comics-related books, too. They've even got those rows and rows of boxes of older comics to flip through. It's in the heart of TG, so it's easy to pop over after getting something to eat off Grand, but it's also worth the drive by itself. You can tell that the owner and employees care not only about their business but the neighborhood as a whole, and that's what makes this shop special. read more

I came here for D&D, not comics, actually. That being said, this is a nice place in an ideal location that is just starting out. Inventory is small currently, as they find out what people are interested in, at least RPG-wise. There was quite the turnout (better than expected) on the initial D&D night. The owner seemed really nice and happy to have a full house when I was there. I would like to see a better table for the D&D crowd (taller for one thing) so we can have grid maps and miniatures (I'm such a nerd). I'm really looking forward to a regular game night and watching this little place evolve. Oh, they also have board games and comics, of course!
