Visited this store today for the first time ever after giving up on trying to collect Pokemon. I decided to switch to Lorcana since it's an awesome memory of my childhood, and was really interested in the newly released set Wilds Unknown, to my surprise after calling so many stores in the area, everyone was either sold out or charging way over MSRP. I showed up to The Wizard's Wagon where I was greeted with MSRP pricing and friendly employees. I purchased 3 booster boxes for MSRP & am going to have an awesome time opening them tonight with my girlfriend and sister. The employee or owner that I dealt with even gave me some really cool promos. We may even start playing the game now! You guys rock & I'm glad to have found your gem of a shop!!! read more

Best selection of comics in St. Louis and the staff is always super friendly. I happily became a regular here once I discovered it!

Lovely, friendly people who work here and are always willing to assist. Great place to shop for games, comics, manga, or collectibles. Or just to browse all of these things. Very organized place. I find the pricing a bit high and it can be tempting to just get the same products online for less, but it's also nice to support it as a local business. read more

I came here a few days ago and ordered this comic. I am an avid reader and I can say that they had a pretty nice selection of comics, and overall, its just nice to find a comic store because they are far and few. The workers there didn't speak to me when I walked in or ask me if I needed help finding anything while I was there, and I was there quite a while and was the only one there, which is why they loose a star. Pretty good place for Pokemon TCG products. With PTCG products disappearing off of retail shelves so fast, I much prefer buying from here compared to ordering online. They always have a good selection in stock, stock new sets on release day, and they price-match to the current market value (some brick&mortar stores overcharge like crazy). They sell card sleeves and top loaders, too. My only suggestion... they sell pretty big selection of MTG singles but it would be cool if they had PTCG singles too :) Also my friend pulled the alt art rayquaza vmax from evolving skies from your booster packs. Cool to support the local game store that hosts tournaments and can really introduce you to everything out there. The staff was pretty cool when we were in, very knowledgeable, and made for a much better experience than going online and trying to figure it all out on our own. If you always buy online, you won't have a local game store hosting tournaments. We chatted a lot with one of the workers. He steered us away from some purchases or just helped explain what the expansions were, how useful 100 sided di would be... And also talked about a few interesting games we hadn't played before. (We bought two). Talked strategies for some of our favorites. Basically everything you could want in a local game store. Some items they didn't even stock because they can't compete with online prices and they tell you just to order it! We had a nice guy working with us. I can't vouch for their whole staff, but in nerd communities there are always haters of any game. You'd hope those people wouldn't be employed trying to sell games but it happens. read more

Wonderful experience at this shop. The owner/manager took time to play a few rounds of a new game with us (from the makers of Lover Letter). We chatted for an extensive period of time with regulars and were introduced to several new games. Ladies and Gentlemen being the next on our list of purchases! Very excited about this board game. The guys were very friendly, but their back issue collection was the worst of any place I've ever been. If you want a good current issue or a trade paperback, this is your place to go. If you are a back issue collector like me, you'll have your choice of three sorry boxes. Because of that, it was pretty much a waste of time. read more

I'm not afraid to admit, that I can be a severe geek. That I have and will forever love anime. The idea of this store isn't what it used to be when I remember it in my middle school days. They used to sell mangas and I remember them having a little bit more personality. It appears they sell some imported toys and novelties, modified board games etc. It is also fair to say, they still hold some serious "magic" tournaments which is cool. Funny story, I told the clerk that I have a couple of buddies who have gotten back into "Magic the gathering", and that it is getting trendy. He seemed offended. LOL! "I dont know about your friends, but The Gathering has always been hip!" he exclaimed. I don't know, I just thought it was funny.... The items here are pretty expensive, but I'd say it is nice to have a b&m to go to and look at items instead of buying import toys and games online. read more

There is no more mask mandate in St. Louis. According to local news stations, we're all clear to drop the mask requirement. Apparently this store thinks they know more than the medical experts, as they refused service over a "county mandate" that doesn't exist. I brought it up with the supposed store owner, who quickly changed the reason to his 'store policy', even though that's not what the sign on the door said to begin with. So even though the health experts say we're all clear to ditch the masks after fourteen months, the manager thinks he knows more than them. He refused service and showed my party to the door. I don't understand how they think this is good for business. Many other stores around them have dropped the mask requirement once the county mandate went down. But since it went down, this place secretly changed the reason to their store policy without telling anyone? That was the only store I had problems with. Pretty sad. Will take my business elsewhere from this point forwards. Thanks. read more

This place has THE WORST PRICES FOR COLLECTABLES! Especially if you build gundam model kits, this place is the worst, they sell 14 dollar kits for 30 dollars or higher, last i was there i saw old model kits that are sold online for 6 dollars being sold for 45. the man working here interrupted my friend and mine's conversation to mansplain the anime we mentioned. i kept saying "i know, it's one of my favorite shows, and i've seen it" but he just kept interrupting me back and telling me the plot and other obvious things about it. it is appalling that an employee of this store was so disrespectful to me and my friend. we left immediately after he started to get more aggressive and we will definitely not be coming back. this guy literally sounded straight from a 4chan incel thread. read more
