    DIRTY
    Michelle H.

Shame on me for not walking the minute I walked in there! Please don't make the same mistake that I did. DIRTY, DIRTY, DIRTY, DIRTY EQUIPMENT, DIRTY OFFICE. no sanitary plastic, old equipment, old x-ray machine, old laptop to view the x-ray, UNABLE to DIAGNOSE a PROBLEM, unorganized, unprofessional, the receptionist dubs as the hygienist, Dr's hands are extremely rough, and Dr is completely incompetent. I went to Dr Taitz for a botched job (which is another story) and ended up leaving in worse shape then I walked in. Dr Taitz was the only local dentist that took my HMO and could take me on a minutes notice. After making my appointment, they called me several times to ask me to change the time. When I arrived, there was nobody there. The Receptionist/Hygienist let me in and the office stunk of food. Somebody is always eating and it always wreaks of food. I noticed right away that nothing was digital, it's all paperwork. But I stayed because I was desperate to see somebody right away. They referred me to get a root canal. After my root canal I came back to get my crown fit and I noticed how dirty and old the equipment was. Nothing was covered in plastic. I asked them to clean their tools so they moved me to another room which was equally dirty. I stayed because my tooth was exposed so I again felt desperate. The first crown she put on, was large and clunky and didn't fit my tooth properly. She kept filing my tooth and the crown down until I finally said stop, it clearly doesn't fit. She took another impression When I went back for the second crown she she told me I was too sensitive the first visit so they had ordered some special tool for me to ease the pain. The hygienist pulled out a cheap red light pocket flashlight and held in my mouth cluning my teething thinking this would save anybody from any pain. It was the most ridiculous thing ever. She put the 2nd crown on and it caused me nothing but problems and irritation. I called and went back several times after complaining of problems. They took more X-rays and assured me nothing was wrong. The x-ray machine is outdated and unable to pick up a proper diagnosis. She reviews the images on an old outdated, sluggish, miniature laptop. Of course she couldn't' diagnose me so she went through her typical "guess the problem". She started by saying let's send you back to the person that did your root canal, then have you taken antibiotics yet, how about a mouthwash, and let me refer you to a gum specialist. I wasn't satisfied with her solutions because never once did she present a solution based on a diagnosis. It was pure and complete gussying. I called my HMO and changed my dentist so I could go get a second opinion from a different dentist. Walking into the new office was the complete opposite experience. When you call to make an appointment, they put you in their system, send you a calendar invitation, fill out a patient portfolio, can communicate with your Dr through their portfolio, receive your results, etc. When I arrived at the office the office was clean! There were staff behind a desk, on computers, handing you an iPad to check in. A technician took me back to take X-rays. The X-rays loaded onto the computer directly infront of me as they were taking then and I could instantly see the problem, a very visible brown spot, hole in the tooth. Their Dr walked me through my results, explaining the X-ray where you could clearly see the hole. Dr Taitz had filed right through that 2nd crown in an attempt to make it fit my tooth. In addition the crown was not put on right as the edges were not sealed. There was a perimeter around the toppling that was left open for bacteria to slip in. See Images- which is a picture of a picture from a print out on my iPhone that you're viewing on your computer or phone and is still probably clear as day! Dr Taitz images were so old and blurry you could not make anything out, even sitting in her office. Of course she could not detect the problem. After my visit I went back to talk to Dr Taitz to tell her my experience. She shushed me and brought me into her private office where she shut the door. The office was stacked with files and paperwork, receipts shoved into envelopes, post-it notes. It looked like a hoarders office from the 1970's.

Fantastic Dental work. very friendly service. Would like to recommend to everyone that has any issues with your dental work. I will continue to update as i am going through more procedures. Dr Taitz is awesome.

If I could give 0 stars.. I would. This place is beyond horrible. I can not tell you enough why you shouldn't go here. I wish I listened to my gut instinct when I noticed the dirty utensils and table .. I let her do a basic cleaning and walked out when I was waiting for someone to come polish my teeth. I was honest with the dentist/owner and told her it was completely unacceptable to have such a dirty place. I didn't even trust my paperwork and information with her. I went back and took it. I really wish I listened to my instincts and I hope to god I don't catch anything considering I'm pregnant and I made that very clear. I'm so nervous. I've attached some pictures so you can judge for yourself. I wish I took even more pics but I just wanted to get the hell out of there. Stay away!

I'm so glad that I found appealing dentistry, because the staff and Dr. Taitz make me feel at home and I now have a beautiful smile, I would recommend everyone I know to visit

Unfortunately, my conversation with Gabby was frustrating. It took quite a while just to get her to understand what I was asking, and her only response was that I would need to make an appointment. I specifically suggested that she simply check with the dentist about my question and get back to me, but she still wasn't willing to do that. What surprised me most was the lack of initiative to help a prospective new patient. I wasn't asking for a diagnosis over the phone--I was trying to determine whether this was the right dental office for me before scheduling an appointment. I even waited until the following day and called the number I had been given, but ultimately the office seemed perfectly willing to let a prospective patient walk away rather than make the small effort of asking the dentist a question and getting back to me. Unfortunately, that experience made my decision about switching dental offices for me.

I was greeted with a friendly smile by the folks at the front desk. I was taken to a station within a few minutes and the technician taking x-rays and scans was nice and friendly, but very focused on the tasks at hand. Did I say x-rays and scans? Yes, they have modern x-ray machines (unlike the thick metal plates my childhood dentist used). Then the doctor walked in. Dr. Jordan is very nice and friendly with a professional demeanor. The initial exam included the regular stuff; going over x-rays, measuring gum pockets (there's a 4 syllable word for that but I didn't want to come off like a know it all). The doctor prepped me for the broken crown replacement. Oh, no! He has a hypodermic! WOW!!! I hardly felt anything. Now it's time to drill down the remainder of my broken tooth, still no pain or discomfort. Ok, now, I'm getting ready for the temporary crown so I can come back in a couple weeks for the permanent crown. The technician used that scanner thingy to scan my mouth, teeth and gums. The doctor tells me to relax for a little while and my permanent crown will be ready in a while. This is where I would have come up with an inappropriate exclamatory comment (use your image-ination). So, after a while, the doctor comes back with a permanent crown! What! How'd they make that so quick; well apparently the scanner provided the images to create a crown that fits my existing teeth perfectly. Was it a 3D printer? No, that would be plastic. Do they have some kind of pottery sculptor? No, they use some CAD/CAM magic stuff and some kind of a magic porcelin milling machine thingy. Amazing! The 21st century rocks!!! All in all, my first visit to Dr. Jordan of Jordan and Pham Dentistry was an unexpected pleasure! Oh, another unexpected thing happened as I was paying for services and discussing future visits for additional work. Since I was going to see the dentist, I only had a slice of toast and some coffee for breakfast. I noticed my blood sugar was low (really cold and shaky hands. Normally I carry candy with me just for that reason (besides, who doesn't love Jolly Ranchers) but since I was going to the dentist, I didn't bring any candy. The staff jumped into action looking for sugar or candy, then they broke into their first aid kit and gave me a tube of glucose gel. After a couple minutes I could feel the improvement and I was able to make it home without any problems. THANK YOU Dr. Jordan and staff!!! I will be back for more work and next time I will have my Jolly Ranchers with me...

After being disappointed with the quality of care from my previous dentist, I was hopeful after receiving such a strong recommendation. My first visit consisted of an exam, cleaning, and X-rays. During the appointment, Dr. Jordan identified what was described as a small cavity beginning to form on one of my teeth. I returned the following day for what I was told would be a simple filling procedure. Unfortunately, after the filling, I began experiencing significant pain that has persisted continuously for over a week. The pain occurs 24/7 and has affected me around the clock. Obviously this was not normal, so I scheduled a follow-up appointment. During that visit, I saw another dentist in the practice, but I left feeling frustrated because I was given no real explanation as to why the tooth was causing such severe pain or what may have gone wrong. As a result, I am now having to seek help from an endodontist and incur additional out-of-pocket expenses to determine the cause of the problem. I was disappointed by the lack of answers provided when I returned with a legitimate concern. Another thing I found very questionable was that Jordan and Pham charges each patient a $35 out-of-pocket fee for fluoride treatment that isn't covered by insurance. I've never encountered this at any other dental office, so I declined the service. When I declined, the hygienists became defensive and repeatedly questioned my decision, which I felt was inappropriate and unprofessional. Patients should be able to decline optional services without feeling pressured or judged. In my opinion, this practice felt more like an upsell than a genuine recommendation. Based on my experience, I will not be returning as a patient and would not personally recommend this office to those seeking a high level of care and follow-up support.

I was not comfortable with this. This default requirement and mandatory field in the online intake process was extremely off-putting. When I called the office to express non-consent, they instructed me to still tick "I confirm and agree" in the form, but to write N/A in the signature, and on the back-end the staff would honor the "N/A" in the signature field. I said multiple times I do not feel comfortable writing contradictory statements in writing, regardless of what the "back-end" office process or procedure was. If I had known this was a requirement of this practice, I would not have wasted time scheduling a first appointment or the 30 minutes required for at-home patient intake paperwork. Also, prospective patients should be aware that when I called to express my disagreement with my image being used for advertising, the receptionist tried to dissuage my concern saying "the photos will be used for your dental treatment." This scripted half-truth objection handling and default mandatory photography consent requirement demonstrates low regard for patient confidentiality, privacy, and trust. Before coming here, I had seen another HMO dentist who recommended thousands of dollars of dental work. I did not trust that assessment, so when I went to Rancho Dental Group for a second opinion since that we're in my HMO network, I specifically asked them NOT to look at the previous dentist's recommendations because they had access to them because they were in the same network. I wanted them to examine my teeth themselves and give me their own independent assessment. They agreed. Their assessment had completely different concerns and treatment recommendations that were different from what the previous dentist had recommended. I did have a cavity on the back of a front tooth that has a veneer from a previous repair. Rancho Dental Group treated that tooth. Unfortunately, I am extremely unhappy with the result. The tooth is now noticeably a different color from my surrounding teeth, and aesthetically I feel the work was very poorly done. What concerned me even more was what happened afterward. On my return visit to check my front tooth I was told that I urgently needed to return because I had significant dental issues that could become serious if I didn't address them and these were told to me without an exam. The dentist proceeded to share all the concerns that the other dentist had that I asked her not to look at and said that she had told me these before which she never did because they were not her assessments. She also told me gums were in poor condition and that I needed specialized periodontal/deep-cleaning and laser treatments that would cost thousands of dollars. I left feeling as though there was something seriously wrong with my dental health. I then changed to a PPO, allowing me to return to my longtime dentist. I deliberately did NOT tell him what Rancho Dental Group or what the other Dentist had diagnosed or recommended because I wanted another completely independent assessment. He took a full set of X-rays and performed a thorough complete examination. His exact words were, "Good news." He told me my teeth looked great. He said I had beautiful oral hygiene, found no cavities, did not recommend the extensive dental or gum treatments I had previously been told I urgently needed, and told me to come back in six months for my regular cleaning. The difference between those two other assessments was astonishing. I understand that dentists can sometimes have different professional opinions and treatment philosophies. However, being told I urgently needed thousands of dollars of treatment and that I risked serious problems if I didn't proceed, only to have my longtime dentist perform a complete examination with X-rays and tell me my teeth and hygiene looked great, left me deeply uncomfortable with my experience at Rancho Dental Group. I also now have a front tooth that does not match the color of my other teeth after the work performed there. I strongly encourage you to seek another dentist.
