That was one of the worst dental visits I've had. They rushed through the exam and cleaning. They polished my teeth in less than 5 minutes then suggested a deep cleaning which I've also never had or needed in my life. Worst dental experience I've ever had. I don't know how this woman is still practicing dentistry. Her work is rushed and sloppy. She is unnecessarily rough. My mouth was bleeding when I left her office. The crown she placed is ill fitting at the gum line. I can already tell it's going to cause me problems. I have several other crowns that were perfectly placed by other dentists. The one she placed is absolutely horrible by comparison. Do NOT trust this dentist under any circumstances. Shame on me for not walking the minute I walked in there! Please don't make the same mistake that I did. DIRTY, DIRTY, DIRTY, DIRTY EQUIPMENT, DIRTY OFFICE. no sanitary plastic, old equipment, old x-ray machine, old laptop to view the x-ray, UNABLE to DIAGNOSE a PROBLEM, unorganized, unprofessional, the receptionist dubs as the hygienist, Dr's hands are extremely rough, and Dr is completely incompetent. I went to Dr Taitz for a botched job (which is another story) and ended up leaving in worse shape then I walked in. Dr Taitz was the only local dentist that took my HMO and could take me on a minutes notice. After making my appointment, they called me several times to ask me to change the time. When I arrived, there was nobody there. The Receptionist/Hygienist let me in and the office stunk of food. Somebody is always eating and it always wreaks of food. I noticed right away that nothing was digital, it's all paperwork. But I stayed because I was desperate to see somebody right away. They referred me to get a root canal. After my root canal I came back to get my crown fit and I noticed how dirty and old the equipment was. Nothing was covered in plastic. I asked them to clean their tools so they moved me to another room which was equally dirty. I stayed because my tooth was exposed so I again felt desperate. The first crown she put on, was large and clunky and didn't fit my tooth properly. She kept filing my tooth and the crown down until I finally said stop, it clearly doesn't fit. She took another impression When I went back for the second crown she she told me I was too sensitive the first visit so they had ordered some special tool for me to ease the pain. The hygienist pulled out a cheap red light pocket flashlight and held in my mouth cluning my teething thinking this would save anybody from any pain. It was the most ridiculous thing ever. She put the 2nd crown on and it caused me nothing but problems and irritation. I called and went back several times after complaining of problems. They took more X-rays and assured me nothing was wrong. The x-ray machine is outdated and unable to pick up a proper diagnosis. She reviews the images on an old outdated, sluggish, miniature laptop. Of course she couldn't' diagnose me so she went through her typical "guess the problem". She started by saying let's send you back to the person that did your root canal, then have you taken antibiotics yet, how about a mouthwash, and let me refer you to a gum specialist. I wasn't satisfied with her solutions because never once did she present a solution based on a diagnosis. It was pure and complete gussying. I called my HMO and changed my dentist so I could go get a second opinion from a different dentist. Walking into the new office was the complete opposite experience. When you call to make an appointment, they put you in their system, send you a calendar invitation, fill out a patient portfolio, can communicate with your Dr through their portfolio, receive your results, etc. When I arrived at the office the office was clean! There were staff behind a desk, on computers, handing you an iPad to check in. A technician took me back to take X-rays. The X-rays loaded onto the computer directly infront of me as they were taking then and I could instantly see the problem, a very visible brown spot, hole in the tooth. Their Dr walked me through my results, explaining the X-ray where you could clearly see the hole. Dr Taitz had filed right through that 2nd crown in an attempt to make it fit my tooth. In addition the crown was not put on right as the edges were not sealed. There was a perimeter around the toppling that was left open for bacteria to slip in. See Images- which is a picture of a picture from a print out on my iPhone that you're viewing on your computer or phone and is still probably clear as day! Dr Taitz images were so old and blurry you could not make anything out, even sitting in her office. Of course she could not detect the problem. After my visit I went back to talk to Dr Taitz to tell her my experience. She shushed me and brought me into her private office where she shut the door. The office was stacked with files and paperwork, receipts shoved into envelopes, post-it notes. It looked like a hoarders office from the 1970's. read more

If I could give 0 stars.. I would. This place is beyond horrible. I can not tell you enough why you shouldn't go here. I wish I listened to my gut instinct when I noticed the dirty utensils and table .. I let her do a basic cleaning and walked out when I was waiting for someone to come polish my teeth. I was honest with the dentist/owner and told her it was completely unacceptable to have such a dirty place. I didn't even trust my paperwork and information with her. I went back and took it. I really wish I listened to my instincts and I hope to god I don't catch anything considering I'm pregnant and I made that very clear. I'm so nervous. I give this place 1 star just because I cannot give 0 stars. First of all, this place is really dirty and old school. Im not exaggerating, it looks like this place isn't cleaned in years. The treatment rooms are full of stains and dirt around the instruments. Last week I did 2 fillings with this dentist, but I had pain and I had a bad gut feeling. I was not able to floss my teeth since she covered the gap between my teeth with the filling material. I visited another dentist; he made x-rays and he showed me what this dentist did: she damaged 2 of my good/healthy teeth in order to set the 2 fillings in my cavities, so she damaged 4 teeth!!! I will never never never visit this place again. I prefer driving far and paying out of my pocket instead being treated with this dentist. Worse dentistry and dentist I have ever had. read more

I just finished working with Dr. Taitz and I am overjoyed with her work. I couldn' t afford much money, since I have no dental insurance and I'm on a fixed income. The first dentist ever to offer me 3 price levels, I opted for the lowest and I never expected such great work. For the price I paid, it is most definitely worth a lot more. She works quickly, with minimal waiting time. She has a very friendly staff and a clean waiting area. Her two assistants, Lela and Jessica are very friendly and helpful. Dr Taitz, cared about me as a patient and a person. I felt , I was not a number. I had a bridge put in and it did not fit right , so she worked on it until it did. Today was my 1st experience with Appealing Dentistry, I had an appointment which was scheduled last Thursday for today at 3pm. I showed up on time and immediately the nurse or receptionist said very rudely that I don't have an appt today and I said yes I do... Then she said I left 2 messages telling you it's canceled. I knew I didn't have any messages and later I checked, she had called to cancel it 3 HOURS before my appointment!!! I was out and about most of the day so of course I didn't get the message in time! She should've called yesterday or 1st thing this morning to let me know my appointment was cancelled but I saw the schedule over the counter and today was empty except for me. I couldn't believe it and the dentist was in court today which also concerns me. There were just a few red flags about this place, the way the nurse reacted when I came in for the appointment, wasn't professional at all, not calling enough time before to say it's canceled and lastly when she said doctor is in court... that was strange because they should've known which day is court in plenty of time to not schedule me for today and made me wonder if she's being sued for something. Because of her attitude and the way it went, the place didn't look so good and how odd the whole thing was that I'm not going to reschedule with this dentist. I'm going to a different one! I Scheduled an appointment for today 2 weeks ago I was told by the receptionist 11am and I would get a callback the day before no call back or message ( very unprofessional) When I called today my appointment was for 1 pm I can not make that time ( I was pushed ahead 2 hours with out notice) Flag #1 . I was also told the place was kid friendly and I could bring my two children when I talked with the doctor she said no children they can not babysit them. I'll try to make a long story short my mother went to appealing dentistry she had no pain they told her she had a cavity underneath her bridge so they removed the old bridge didn't repair the cavity put a temporary bridge while she waited for the new one. But the temporary bridge wasn't made correctly and cut into the inside of my mom's mouth she couldn't eat for two weeks solid food. And the dentist didn't do anything about it so my mom went to another dentist because she couldn't handle the pain anymore. At first the dentist thought that my mom went to Tijuana because the work done at appealing dentistry was so bad. I saw the pictures appealing dentistry never cleaned under the bridge or repaired the cavity and the temporary bridge was so poorly made that it was cutting into the inside of my moms mouth which left a huge sore that was giving her the pain. Also appealing dentistry told her the pain was because she needed a root canal which was not true the pain came from the poorly made bridge. But appealing dentistry did reimburse my mom I give them that much. read more

Took my grandson here for his first checkup. Found the place to be dirty, disorganized and like going back to the 80's. Very little communication as to condition of his teeth other than he needs a cavity fixed. Went to another dentist. Asked for the records of the initial consultation. I was given the information verbally but would not be given a copy of anything. I was told that they had fixed the cavity which was not true since I had gone to another dentist for that treatment. They times that i had gone there they had always told me " no cavities", had me wait 1 hour in the room , treated bad by the assistant and then sent home. I am 66 years old. I have always had a great dentist. I walked into this Dentist office, Dr. Orly Taitz and have never had such a bad experience in my life. The place is dirty, very unprofessional, my cleaning on Kaiser Medicare was a joke. She cleaned my teeth with a water pick, I was sprayed over my face and clothes. Equipment was also sprayed and do not believe they sanitize after each use. I was afraid I was going to get an infection of some sort. She never scrapped for tarter or even polished my teeth afterwards. I would never go back, would NEVER REFER anyone to go there. She asked for my email and said it was for a referral. When I asked about what web page to go on she said it has been taken care of. So she admitted to writing her own referral using my name. I hope no one has to go through what I did that day. I spent $140.00 to go back to my own doctor before I was on Kaiser, medicare. The Senior advantage is a waste of money in my opinion. My doctor in San Clemente not only did an outstanding job but is sending me to an oral surgeon for evaluation as I have 3 dark spots on the base of my tongue. I tried to get copies of my x-rays and they refused to give them to me. Said they do not have them, which is a lie as the doctor reviewed them that day. The office lady said they do not have a lab any longer. One lie after another. Than she said it will cost me $100.00 to order them. My dentist said a whole set of x-rays is $140.00 and copies are $25.00. Crooks?, you be the judge. read more

I showed up for my first time appt there for a routine cleaning and the receptionist was the only other person in the office and was rude. At first she said I wasn't listed on her appt book but finally found me. I waited 15 minutes past my appt time and she said the dentist hadn't come in yet and she couldn't reach her by phone. Finally she took me into the exam room and took X-ray's. After waiting in the chair another 15 minutes, I got up and said I was leaving. She said she still couldn't get hold of the dentist and I could come back anytime in the afternoon for my cleaning and they would fit me in. I told her no that I was changing dental offices. Let me start my saying great dentist. I have been coming to Appealing Dentistry for about a year and the service is second to none. I have recently introduced my wife to their service and she could not be happier. I have had emergency services where i called for an appointment in pain and 1 hour later I was in her dentist seat getting my tooth fixed. I have had a root canal and experienced no pain. The best part is the family atmosphere, its a 3 lady office and they make sure they take care of you, from reminder calls for appointments to extra numbing shoots to follow up care to ensure everything is ok.
