Doctor Chung has built a wonderful network of family-friendly dental offices. You can always tell when people enjoy who they work for and I can see the staff smiling through their surgical masks no matter how difficult their day might be. From the front desk and back again there are friendly, engaging, highly capable professionals everywhere you turn. Once the initial forms were completed I have never waited for more than 5 minutes in the waiting area before being led to a chair, except for the time they had just moved into temporary office quarters due to a remodeling project. Doctor Mahmoudian and his angelic assistants are masters at their craft, and they worked halfway through their lunch hour to complete my work to try to get their afternoon patients back on schedule. While operating, they are a synchronized team working as one who speak softly and assuredly to keep the patient informed and relaxed every step of the way. I've heard that there are people who don't like to go to the dentist, but I've enjoyed every minute I have spent at the Laguna Woods 7-Day Dental office, and I'm looking forward to my next visit already. 1 star. I had been told by several dentists over the years that I needed to get my wisdom teeth removed, so I scheduled an appointment here for the procedure. However, the day I was supposed to have the surgery, the dentist suddenly told me I needed a bone graft that my insurance would not cover, which would cost me over $2,500 out of pocket. I had already been going to Seven Day Dental for over two years and had given this office multiple chances, but this was the final straw. It felt extremely frustrating and concerning that something this major was only brought up the day of the procedure. After this experience, I decided to get a second opinion. My new dentist immediately referred me to a wisdom tooth specialist, who explained that a bone graft was not necessary in my case and that the procedure should be fully covered by my insurance. Instead of paying nearly $3,000, I am now paying $0. If you are told you need expensive additional procedures here, I strongly recommend getting a second opinion before agreeing to anything. Based on my experience, it felt like the focus was more on adding costly treatments than providing transparent care. read more

I was a new patient here under a new HMO plan, and after only my second visit they prescribed over $4,000 worth of dental work. The amount seemed excessive and honestly felt sketchy. Before committing, I decided to get a second opinion from my long-time dentist, whom I trust. I regrettably left him due to getting an HMO Dental Plan. To my shock, he told me I didn't need any of the work they recommended -- not a single thing! This experience left me feeling misled and very disappointed. I made the mistake of switching dentists to save money, and it nearly cost me thousands of dollars for unnecessary treatment. Dr. Shah and Viviana are AMAZING. I never get lectured, as I'm in my 30s. DentiCal covers root canals AND WHITE crowns! Most places that take Medi-Cal will only give silver fillings and crowns. Somehow 7 Day Dental makes it so you can get everything porcelain colored. The office is extremely clean and chic. They do offer nitrous for cash if you need it. It's about $300 for the whole appointment. I was there one day for five hours, getting so much work done. The nitrous helped a lot and a prescription for when I got home made a world of a difference. read more

I went to them due to having an inflammation in my gum. They mentioned I needed a root canal. I went to another dentist and they actually tested my nerve by putting something cold and saying you have a normal response. No root canal needed. Unfortunately these dentists are lying and I won't go back to them. BUYER BEWARE. Always get a second opinion!!! read more

Today July 22, 2025, I had a great experience at 7 Day Dental. The first day I went to the office, I saw Dr. Chung who was very professional and had great bedside manner. When I came back today, Tuesday, July 22, I saw Dr. Shah, who also was very professional with excellent bedside manner. She has been a dentist for 30 years and she has been at this practice for 15 of those years. Dr. Shah was efficient, explained everything very thoroughly, and helped ease any pain that came my way. Her assistants Viviano and Persia were also very helpful and had great personalities. I have been to several Denti-Cal dentists and many of them were not very good at all. Or they tried to scam me! But not at this practice. I am so grateful to them for everything they did for me today. BTW, I had 4 crowns that needed replacing. And I also need a deep cleaning as I have inflamed gums. But most of all, I appreciate how professional, kind and accommodating they all were. That makes such a huge difference. Also, a shout out to Dulce at the front desk for being so kind and helpful. Like the other low end reviews , I would not recommend anyone to this dental office. Sure, when you have your initial appointment with them you will probably feel like you made the right choice by choosing this dentist. My husband had major dental restorative work done which was going to be covered by our insurance. We were told he couldn't have that done until he had another major procedure done first and it was common for this. We paid out of pocket thousands to them thinking that no matter where we went this would be the case. The first thing that seemed very important to them right upon arrival was to make sure they got that payment from Us. After both procedures were completed and the office was paid in full, it was like they didn't care anymore. My husband left the office not receiving instructions for care, no pain medication, no antibiotics, and never a follow up call to see how he was doing at the time. Calls, messages left with someone in reception, emails........no response as of yet! My husband is still dealing with poorly done work by this office. After sending a complaint to our insurance about them, being scheduled to go to 3rd party dental screener chosen by insurance, he has now been approved to get one of the procedures done for him again at no cost to us. It was deemed the work done by 7-day dental was extremely bad. We are looking for a new one in network currently. Even the insurance rep who contacted us after the complaint felt horrible after giving her details of my husbands daily dealings and routine since the work was completed. There's more! Nonetheless, I do not recommend this dental office. And by the way, still no response back from them! Hurts to have to see one star read more

After an uncomfortable experience getting my teeth pulled I was sent home without pain medication but worst, no antibiotics. Been calling their "customer service" to have them reach the dentist to call me but no such luck. I understand it was after 5pm and people don't want to work late but to have a patient leave without calling in the medication to the pharmacy is unacceptable. I now have a whole night ahead of me with pain and a possible infection in the morning. Follow up: Pharmacy confirmed that Ibuprofen was sent as the pain medication last night. However the Antibiotics was just called in this morning but will be ready later today. read more

I have gone to several dentists in the area and this office is the best one hands down! All the staff is great but most especially the dentist is amazing! She does not recommend unnecessary procedures like the others all seem to do and when I do need something done she has given me several options from least invasive to most and explained all the pros and cons so I have choices. Visited 7 day dental for the first time last week and let me first of all say I was impressed with the office overall vibe. Clean, quiet and comfortable. The greeting staff was friendly and seamless with the check-in process. My teeth need a lot of work and I know this because I've been to other dental offices and explanation of service was lacking and expensive. Dr. Chuck Le and his staff made sure understand the entire process and what needs to be addressed first and avoid unnecessary procedures that other dental offices failed to do. I came to 7 Day Dental for a general cleaning. I read their Yelp reviews and a lot of them said that they try to SELL you on unnecessary procedures. I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt so I made an appt. Sure enough everyone on Yelp was true, the one thing they did leave out was their HORRIBLE bed side manner! I will definitely not be back. I DO NOT RECOMMEND this place, FIND SOMETHING ELSEWHERE. Seriously Who hired these guys?! Wow. Just wow. Dr Shah is talented, detailed,quick and gentle all at the same time! Even the man who took my xrays was gentle. So, another dentist previously, bonded a space and made my 2 front teeth longer. It fell off immediately, so now I had a chip in my front tooth! Today, I went to 7 Day Dental in Ladera Ranch. When, I tell you that my front teeth now look shockingly gorgeous. She worked hard. Dr Shah had to bond and craft my front tooth, do periodontal maintenance clean, and spotted 2 old cavity filings in back of my mouth that needed to be refilled. 2 hours straight, she worked in my mouth. I was completely numbed, and she was great with injections as well. Pain free. The office is in a nice area, and has high tech equipment. I am glad I tried this dentist office. read more

Zero. Absolutely never go to this dentist office. Worst care worst experience they are awful. My wife had to get a crown replaced. They put on a temporary crown which lasted a few days until she swallowed it. Then when she got the crown replaced it fell off within a few months. We asked for a refund so we could go to a different office however they refused. So we got it done again by them and again the crown fell off after a month of getting it done. We have asked for a money back and again they have not responded. Absolutely worst experience. Do not go here. read more

I called and asked if a prosthodontist worked there. I was given an appointment. I went in and asked again. I was informed no. But they could refer me if needed. After x-rays and consult the dentist tried to convince me to get implants. I haven't the funds and repeated that I have Medi Cal. Dental insurance. I was given a referral to a dentist that doesn't take Medi Cal. This office doesn't listen to what you need. Just get you in there and push what can make them money. I don't like giving a review like this. But if they have no problem wasting my time,so be it. read more

I had a horrible experience at this dentist. I broke a crown while 8 months pregnant in Feb 2023. I came in and they charged me $295 to re-cement the crown until I was post partum and could get an implant. The re-cement lasted 8 hours. When I came back they said sorry nothing we can do. Too bad. I went to another dentist who made me a temporary flipper. I filed a grievance with my insurance. For the next 5 months my insurance and I tried to contact them with no help. I asked for a copy of my records and was told I couldn't get them. They were too busy. My insurance said they should have only charged me $5 and they charged me $295! They were required to pay me back the $290 but they refused. We are still fighting with them months later. When I call they won't let me speak with anyone. Not the office manager not the billing department. They sent me a certified letter saying they won't be my provider any longer. I would never go back there. read more

I have been having serious amounts of pain from an ulcerated lesion caused by a sharp edge on an inlay I got done here in January. I finally figured out (via a costly periodontist) that the inlay is at fault and I returned here today for help with this extremely painful problem (I called this morning and they told me to walk in). A-little-too-polite little lady at the front desk said that the doctor who did the original would be back on Tuesday and I could see her then. Well not only is that in FOUR DAYS, I don't want to see her again because I don't trust her work. Front Desk Girl (who needs to maybe not work at an emergency dentist's office? Lacks compassion!) said MAYBE I could wait 3 hours and see someone else, but she didn't think he would do be able to do anything because "dentists can't touch each other's work." THIS IS FILING DOWN A MOLAR, NOT PLASTIC SURGERY! I sat there in pain for another 30 minutes while she literally walked around the office in a pattern (not kidding) instead of doing anything she could to help my painful, upset self. I found another dentist in town and don't even care if they can help because I know this place can't and I have NEVER received such terrible customer service. And I was a receptionist for five years...Don't go here! Not to mention the fact that they try to convince you to pay for nitrous for unnecessary procedures and price gauge. They're lucky there was a child in the lobby to keep me from saying what I really meant to say on my way out. read more

Follow-up review because I got a second opinion. 7 Day told me I had 15 cavities. It had been a while so that made sense. I don't take the best care of my teeth. I could not afford the work they said I NEEDED so they PUSHED CareCredit like they were getting a commission. I went to another dentist who told me I only needed 3 fillings and a crown. The rest could be fixed with maintenance. No need for fillings. They saved me thousands of dollars by being honest. I'll shout it from the rooftops that 7 Day is bullshit.
