Lots of interesting finds here, more heavy on the Pokemon side - as they even have special curated cards. Also it's really nice that they have an upstairs lounge area where they have a spot with some free snacks and just is nice place to chill. Also the service was very friendly and informative, especially on some of their high end curated Pokemon cards.

It was super cute and fun to take pictures with. The store staff locks the door from the outside, so you have to flag down a staff member to let you in. I thought that was strange, but I realized they are probably doing that for anti-theft purposes since they do carry a lot of expensive items. Walking-in, I was amazed with the décor and selection. It was like I was walking through a store from Japan itself. There was a good variety of items with stuff from the Pokémon company to stuff created by small business owners. I ended up getting 4 Pokémon prints to hang in my room that were created by a small business owner. They had a deal for buy 3 get 1 free, so I could not refuse especially since the prints were so cute. I liked how they had deals like that for a lot of things. When I checked out, they even gave me a free custom sticker. My only critique is the prices. The prices are generally on the higher side for both the imported and custom made goods and this is coming from someone from LA. The 3 prints I bought totaled to around $45 which a bit high. Overall, a good experience here. I would come back if I had some extra money to spend.

But because it is no…read morelonger home to the rich variety of tenants and all the vibrancy that you would find in the 1980's and 1990's, it has devolved into a three star affair. I have fond memories of hanging with pals at Coffee Ritz, checking out the latest in trendy fashion at Jay Jacobs, or buying jewelry at the Fossil Cartel. There were numerous other retailers that I would frequent as well, but their names escape me. Today, The Galleria building is as stately as ever. Built in 1910 and then known as the Olds, Wortman & King Department Store until 1974, it is on the U.S. National Register of Historic Places and an official Portland Historic Landmark. These days, that once vivacious atmosphere is lifeless and is now home to The Western Culinary Institute, Brooks Brothers, and City Target, a Target Store that is much smaller and more dense than the sprawling suburban Target stores. Even with the Starbucks on the ground floor underneath City Target, there is still something missing: soul. This is such a great location, surrounded by transit, urban dwellers, and tourists, why wouldn't you want to do business here? I would be so delighted to see more tenants come and breathe some life into The Galleria and revive this amazing building. 2015 - Review # 76

I will say the store layout was a bit interesting, with some areas that felt more cramped. It was fairly crowded when we went, so I did have to squeeze by people to make my way through the store. I spent some time browsing the clothing section and found several items that caught my eye. The clearance section was a bit disorganized and the sizes were not labeled clearly unfortunately. Customer service at Muji was friendly and adequate. The staff working in the fitting room area were especially helpful. It would've been great to have more fitting rooms available, as the line moved slowly and took up a good chunk of time. You are also limited to bringing in 5 items at a time but you can swap out items as needed. I ended up purchasing multiple tops and a few pants for everyday wear. Unfortunately, I didn't get a chance to browse the homewares section but was pretty satisfied with my clothing purchases and shopping experience. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area.

Another store I wish they had back in Illinois!
