There were knowledgeable staff around willing to answer any and all questions. The trailer was back up to the orchard frequently and we were able to head back down pretty much as soon as we wanted to. It was not nearly as crowded as other places we've been and we enjoyed that. We went early saturday morning hoping to beat the rush and the summer heat. Upon arrival we were…read morethe first ones there woohoo then it went downhill. We walked to the patch and it was picked over pretty good. We saw bunch of guys in the field prior to opening to the public and perhaps picked them over pretty good. We stopped by the stand and they had massive strawberries!! We managed to fill our containers (none close to that quality) after awhile but seemed like every 3-4 plants one had a good medium size strawberry, most were tiny with a few rotten bigger ones and eaten/fungus mixed in. Got home and tried a few 'good' ones and they were very watery , not very flavorful. Prices were more than expected (internet research) and for the not so good quality of berries. First time strawberry picking, it looked like decent little farm just wish the berries were better and more plentiful. The ladies were nice. Might try another berry patch next time closer to home.
