The only advantage to buying a computer at Apple is that they supposedly will transfer the data for you. What a farce! They said I had to leave my computer for two days. I said "no" and Josh, the Genius, said it could take all day to transfer after seeing how much I had in storage. It took one hour. He had trouble setting up the transfer and then left and I essentially did it myself. He was very rude, unprofessional, and incompetent--no Genius. Buy elsewhere. read more

I will recommend ppl not buy the ear pods from apple. If you don't have apple care they will not stand by the product even if they see or hear the issue right in front of them. My pods are making a load hissing noise and this is a well known issue and apple only offered a 15% discount because I was unhappy with the service. They couldn't even beat Best Buy prices. They told me they was too small to be fixed and it would be better to buy a new pair. I brought a regular pair and a pro pair a while ago. And I used 1 and hardly used the pros. They have been sitting in my closet put up for a long time and when I finally pulled them out to use them. They are hissing. I used them a few times a while ago and haven't used them since. They passed every test apple did on them. Through the iPhone and at the store. And all they did was tell me to get a new pair. So my advice is to not buy ear pods. Out of all the Apple Stores that I have been to, this one has everything that I need to get what I need. It is a rather large store in the middle of the mall. They have plenty of staff, but it can get crowded and it can get difficult to get a sales staff to come help you. The only reason this place takes the top spot is that it is tax free. It's in Delaware so this spot really saves you money, it is not in a super metropolitan area where it is crowded 24/7 and they have plenty of parking to come to the mall. The downside is that it is in Delaware and not so many people are willing to drive around to come here. However, if you can get here to purchase a multi-thousand dollar machine, you might save a lot of cash. If you so happen to be in the area, then all the better. I have been here many times now and I haven't had any issues with the place. During the COVID-19 pandemic, they made two lines on each side of the door and they do temperature checks at the front. I think this is the only place that I have seen do temperature checks. I do feel safer being the the store even when there are a lot of people in such a cramp space. Just wear a mask and wash your hands and don't touch your face. read more

Poor experience at this store. Customer service has declined considerably. Took half hour to get someone to help me purchase an iPhone. Upon entering the store I was told to stand by iPhone 16 table (even though I said I was there for an iPhone 15) and someone would be there shortly. Half hour later after I complained about standing in front of a product I was not interested in purchasing, someone arrived. Upon purchasing it took at least 15 minutes for the phone to arrive from the back. I was told there were only 2 runners that day for the big cyber Monday sale and they underestimated the number of people (this from salesman). Setup of the phone was even worse as I was moved from one person to another who were busy multitasking with everyone else trying to set up a new phone. None of the Apple personnel could get the phone set up, it wouldn't work. It was suggested I return the phone of which I did, but of course the cost of the cost of $729 would take 3-5 days to come back to my account. No offer of another phone, no courtesy from the return desk or "manager" and no professional response to fixing the problem of a faulty phone that was sold to me. On the other hand, the salesman was nice and those trying to make the phone work were also trying to be helpful. The greeter at the door was unwelcoming.....stand here, no you can't stand there (by the phone I wanted to purchase). Very disappointed in my recent Apple store visit because I went in there and I tried to buy a computer and the associates don't really know what they're talking about! they're very pushy and they will leave you high and dry! I'm trying to make a purchase here and these people are so unreasonable and they don't help for anything. then I am putting my own sensitive information there (so unprofessional) my own information into one of their display machines and I hit submit and I did not get back an email confirmation! I am paying good money for this new Apple computer and I'm very very sad about this! I would like to have more peace of mind and all they said is to call at the Apple Support phone number like I'm some kind of idiot - why would I bother coming to the store if I couldn't get the best service in person!!? People are really wasting time and they shouldn't even be standing around and lollygagging all day because they don't help the customers nearly as much as they should! There need to be trained closers because only closers get coffee! none of these people deserve anything! They deserve to make BELOW minimum wage!!! When my phone ran into trouble, I struggled to find replacements in stock in the DC area. Happily, I discovered that there is an Apple store in Delaware, which means no tax, which for the sorts of expensive things one buys from Apple is worth a drive (though from the DC area, the tolls do add up). Without making a ton of commentary on the company or the devices, the location here was quite good. I had preordered online, and my phone was ready, linked up to my provider with the right number, and I had a code sent to me to expedite checkin. I didn't have any trouble getting service, despite the fact that temporary staff from other locations had been brought in so the locals could attend a funeral for one of their co-workers, as I was told. There were plenty of chargers and space despite the fact that this was a crowded store, and they were being cleaned frequently (an important note as I write this during the great coronavirus outbreak of 2020). I got some useful tips as I'm a few versions out of date on my phone, but no one pushed me to buy or do anything I wasn't there for. It's definitely a better service experience than I've had at other Apple locations. The same fundamental pluses and minuses apply everywhere: you'll get a cool-looking, reliable device, but you'll have to deal with the company's foibles. I'm reasonably pleased that I made the drive. read more

Terrible customer service. When I entered, I knew exactly what I was looking for and went towards the section. I was looking for someone to help me purchase it and there was someone across the table, but she refused to acknowledge me despite making eye contact. After asking her, she begrudgingly pointed me to someone else. Very unfriendly. The store is super disorganized so it takes forever to get anything done or have someone come over. The people with the iPads are nice here, but I also had a terrible experience with the specialist. She was incredibly combative, despite me specifying exactly the specs I wanted, and kept forcing me to look at options I knew I did not want. I parked in front of the Nordstrom's entrance that is on the side of the restaurants when you come off 95. Went in - went to mall entrance and the store in just a little ways down from there. I was assigned a woman but she was taking a long time with another customer so a different employee was asked to jump in to help me and he was AWESOME!!!! I wish I remembered his name because he was the BEST! It was noon on 7/12 and I was trading in my old one getting a new one and getting the pencil and the Apple care and then I had four printed Apple e-gift cards - and he was as patient as a saint!! Terrible customer service. I brought in a phone I bought 7 weeks ago that has poor outgoing audio quality. After 2 hours, no one was willing to simply replace the phone. I went thru 3 "geniuses" who all decided it wasn't their problem, maybe I should try standing in another place when I used the phone! The manager at least tried to help, but still didn't replace the phone. It is hard to believe that this company has decided NOT to stand behind their product. Service representatives are great as I got approached immediately when I came into the store and got helped. THE BLACK AND WHITE: I drove here from DC looking for a deal on the macbook pro. I called in ahead of time to place my order (macbook pro 2015). I got my confirmation receipt via text and email. So once I got to the store, all I had to do was show my text to a sales representative and I was on my way to getting my macbook. With the back to school sale, they offered the beats by dr dre, and I got to choose what color. I originally had white, but then changed it to gold. The representative was cool about it and did it seemlessly. When I went, it was pretty crowded in this huge store, however the representative said this was one of the slower days. It was Saturday at 2pm when I went, so I can't imagine what the frenzy is when a new iphone or macbook is released. Pure mayhem I suppose. THE FINAL BAMBOO: With the back to school sale and student discount, I only paid $1399 for my macbook pro! Along with it, came the Beats solo2 wireless, which is pretty dope. They should've some respect for the people picking up devices. I came all the way from Philadelphia to this outlet to grab my devices and I Specifically Called prior to coming to make sure they're open and the automated message Said that "they're open till 4pm" and i thought sure that's good cause i chose 3:45-4:00 time window to pick up my device. I drove for more than 45 minutes to reach there and i was there around 3:30, still 15 minutes early. And guess what! they said they're already close at 3:15. Like Are you freaking kidding me!! I even explained to the guy that i came all the way from philly but he was reluctant to me. Now I don't have any problem with them closing whatever the time they want to but Freaking send us a little text or an email when you know we're gonna be here. You have our email AND our phone number but from your side you're really terrible at even letting your customers know. They said it was because of the weather so they can send remaining customers and employees home but trust me all the customers in there were just window shopping and even when i came half an hour later after having lunch in the food court there were still some employees in there with lights off. This is unfortunately not a good place to buy an apple product. They do not offer the expertise and service normally associated with apple stores. That's the only reason to buy their products from their retail stores. Not here, there's cheaper alternatives at the kiosks. This is a poor example of an Apple Store with subpar customer service and sales people. It's better to go somewhere else and pay the sales tax. 'Scott' in particular was responsible for our very poor experience. We asked him what set up assistance they could provide and he basically told us we were on our own. When we tried to clarify and explained that this was not the normal experience he became flustered and simply walked away. Not to get someone else, or grab something, just stood around awkwardly on the other end of the table shifting deliberately so as not to make eye contact. My husband and I had a terrible experience at this store. Buying our new iPhone was not the problem, it was everything that came afterwards. We were sent to a table so that we could transfer all of the information from the old phone to the new and the help was pretty much non existent. Both of the so called helpers did not want to make eye contact and were clearly not going out their way to help. After 30 minutes or more, we were placed at another table and pretty much told to figure it out on our own. Our problem was that we were not able to transfer google mail from the old phone to the new. My husband and I tried everything. We sat there for at least 45 minutes with no success and it wasn't until we specifically called someone over, who happened to be the manager, to help out. He was very helpful and unlike what we were told, he was able to walk us through the problem in a matter of minutes. Because of the nature of the issue, the situation spanned 4 days, so I interacted with 9 employees, from "greeters," to intake, to "doers," to experts. Eight of the nine people I spoke with were courteous and patient. The 3 experts I spoke with were clear, genuinely helpful, patient, and generous with their time. Then once you get in the store the two rented security guards are standing there with a clicker and being ignorant to the customers. Now this is an Apple store. I'm visiting from Norfolk VA this weekend and always like to visit this location. While this store may be the norm here in the Philly region it's about 5x larger than our Apple store in Norfolk. I was looking for a Lightening Cable as well on this visit. The place was pretty busy and all the blue shirts around me were with a customer so I told my brother "watch this". I pulled my iPhone out, opened the Apple Store app. The app recognized I was in the Christiana Apple store and I then tapped the Easy Pay, scanned the bar code on my Lightening Cable and made the purchase. I received the receipt a few seconds later and let one of the now free blue shirts know I had just used the app to make my purchase, and he said "You did it correctly. Have a great day." I pocked the cable and we walked out of the store. My brother was floored and just kept saying "I didn't know you could do that". Pretty darn funny and convenient to say the least. Last but not least there's no sales tax since this is Delaware. I love this place :) read more

So, Apple is limiting or have no Genius Bar reservations available and they have authorized third party retailers like Best Buy to repair products but they are not informing consumers that they do not swap out products under warranty the ship them out to Apple even if the product is available. I am glad I have other product choices and just took back every Apple product I purchased within the last 2 weeks. Apple won't be taking my money and don't want to provide repair services to me or other consumers. Also buyer beware, if you have your product after the 14 days and no fault of your own that Apple shut down their in store repairs, you cannot return your Apple product for a refund even at no fault of your own....Sounds fishy too me.... read more

Despite waiting in line for nearly 2 hours just to enter the store (it was 8 PM the day after Black Friday), we left pleased with our experience and with our purchases. Mark approached us when we finally reached the front of the line and kindly answered all of our questions. We already knew what we were looking for, but wanted clarification on the current deals and methods of payment (eg, one-time payment, installments, Barclay application, Apple gift card promotions).
