This is a complicated review because I had an old iPhone working just fine before I dropped it, cracking and effectively killing the screen. This store had a repair price in line with other places I called, and chose them because of good reviews. They replaced the digitizer/screen, and off I went. This old iPhone is a backup for if something goes wrong with my current phone, which ended up happening last week. So I grab this iPhone out of the drawer where it's been sitting unused for the last 4 months, and touch isn't working properly. I couldn't even log into the phone because the screen was not sensing my fingers anywhere except on the bottom edge of the screen. I took the phone back yesterday, and they took a look and had the phone working again. However within 15 minutes, the screen was not sensitive to touch again. I went back, and they replaced the screen even though I was technically out of warranty. The new screen worked well, but this morning it began acting up. It's not as bad as before, but it is freezing up occasionally, and colors are bleeding. Fingers crossed it doesn't get worse... So this is the complexity. I give them 5 stars for integrity; they did right by me in re-fixing the phone. But I wonder about the quality of the replacement screens (at least for an iPhone SE- old generation), which is what I've seen a few reviewers mention. They pointed out that there was some water damage noted, so that could be the main culprit which is affecting the repairs, but my phone worked just fine before I broke the screen, so it's a tough call. That's why 4 stars versus 5. I would come back again if I needed a different phone fixed. read more

I spilled soda on a small part of my laptop. It still worked but had a louder than normal fan noise. I sent out requests to basically everyone in the philly/Delco area. Eazy Computers replied super quick at like 7AM, before they opened. Unlike some of their competitors they were patient with me and understood that I wanted to explore other places & prices. Since it was an internal problem, they told me right from the start that they would have to open it up & that they couldn't give me a price until they did so. The price of the diagnostic went towards the service. The total for a complete clean of the corrosion on the logic board was $318 which was reasonable compared to all the other places I had contacted. The diagnostic two days and I had my laptop back in 4-5 days since the initial drop off! They kept me updated with phone calls & emails which I appreciated. I'm a student so when I needed files that were on the computer they were understanding and had no problem with sending my files. read more

This business is not trustworthy. They charged $80 to update drivers without asking first and refused to refund the money. This was on top of a diagnostic fee. The staff seems professional and like they know what they're doing, they're very quick and responsive on communications, and the store is in a convenient location. They said, I'm not sure what the $80 I paid for my laptop repair got me. When I brought it in it was experiencing errors that would cause it to randomly restart itself, and the browser was loading very slowly, streaming music and videos had a lot of hiccups, and it was generally just buggy. After getting my laptop back with the malware wiped off and some Windows updates I'd missed, it's still got the same problems. Maybe worse on the restarting issue. Given all the other positive reviews, I wonder if it might just be that my laptop was a crappy model or near the end of its life, (but after less than three years?) Either way, the work that was done didn't lead much improvement. read more

My phone screen broke at 6:55pm. I called Eazy computers and he said he would wait for me to come over so I could have my phone fixed that night (they were scheduled to close at 7). My front screen of my iPhone XR was cracked and I came here for a repair. When I got it back one of the corners was bulging out, which when I mentioned one of the workers quickly went back to fix. However after I came home a different corner then started to bulge slightly outward (now thinking maybe the seal job wasn't done as well as it should have been). The screen seemed discolored compared to a genuine Apple screen, which was good. I had to tweak the display of the colors in the settings to fix the discoloration. There were some "white" spots on the bottom, where everything seemed "lighter" than usual. Tap to touch function also now became nonfunctional, had to press the wake button to turn my phone on. Might not be enough to sway some users from skipping this repair shop, but it would be nice to know for the users who may be more detail-attentive. Overall cheap prices though. read more

I bought an HP refurbished computer here about 6 months ago for $300. Nothing else came with it, like a manual or whatever . I was desperate. I've had nothing but problems with it crashing 3 times a day with a critical stop close notification. I would start it again and the same thing over and over again. I tried to see what was wrong and finally got an online place to fix it for $50. Spent 3 hours trying to fix it. Multiple corrupted files were found on it, in addition to other fixes. Windows 10 had to be deleted and reinstalled. Do not trust buying a refurbished laptop from this place. They sell crap computers and don't check them before they sell them. Awful place, sell whatever they have and it's up to you to fix it. Don't recommend. Many other places to get a computer. I trust Craigslist more than this place. 0 stars if I could give it. read more

Before this adventure began, I'd hoped I'd be writing a 5-star review. Local businesses deserve our support because they support our communities (they *are* our communities...). But things don't always work out and maybe I can save you some time and money. The short version was I spent $510 for repairs weren't successful and left me with a laptop that I could have replaced for less than the cost of the repairs. But read the long version because fairness requires the full story. One of the backlights on my Lenovo Yoga 15 touch-screen burned out. I popped the machine open, to see if there was a quick fix. I'm reasonably good at computer repair, but certainly no professional. In the course of things, I broke the screen glass myself. No big deal, really, since the burned out back light meant it needed a new screen anyway. It was bricked up now. After research, including reading reviews here, I bundle up the screen, the body, and the back and took it to Eazy for a screen replacement. I was quoted $350 for the replacement. The price was reasonable: a bit more than the $250-300 I was expecting, but this was a touch screen. I left the machine for repairs. I also mentioned, since they were going to be up to their elbows in the machine if they could re-do the thermal paste that connects the processor to the cooling elements, as it had been running hot. A couple days later, I received a call. They said they'd had to do an ESD reset and reseat the memory, that we were no longer in brick state and that this would be $80 and still $350 for the screen. This seemed excessive, because I'd brought the machine in with the back off, and all that was involved was unplugging and re-plugging the coin battery and pushing on some chips. Really, nothing they shouldn't have done in the ordinary course of diagnosing the screen. But I said okay. After a week or so, I get a call saying that the screen was replaced. I came in. I paid the now $430 for the machine. We boot it up. It comes on. I take it home. At home, I notice that the screen touch isn't working. So I call them up. They say bring it back in. Which I do. They call in a couple of days and say "maybe it's a damaged cable, we can replace that" at a cost of $80. I say okay, because I like my touch screen. At this point, I suppose I should be complaining (if not shouting) but I say okay. After a week, I get another call saying, "hey, sorry, we replaced the cable but we can't get the touch function to work." I pick it up. They charge me $80 for the cable replacement -- that didn't work. Equally, when I get the machine back, the circuit board with the touch screen chip is taped to the outside of the machine. (Huh?) The take-away: the repair was probably beyond their capability at the time I dropped off the machine but they tried anyway rather than referring me along to someone else, couldn't do it, and it cost me $510 to get what is now a non-touch laptop with a 4-year old chip set - something I could easily buy for well under that price. Update: Maybe it was because the iPhone 8+ was a relatively new phone, but the aftermarket screen module the Eazy Computers was not the best quality in terms of color payoff. Once I got the fixed screen back, I noticed that the screen was significantly and noticeably unsaturated. It made photo editing very difficult. In addition, the phone lost its ability to do True Tone; a later phone repair person told me that you need some kind of code that's on the original screen to get back the True Tone, but since it wasn't addressed during the first screen replacement at Eazy Computers, I can never get True Tone back. Both of these things were never mentioned by the repair man. If I had known these things, I would have probably just gotten the repair at the Apple store. The screen replacement was $100 at Eazy Computers if I remember correctly. read more
