Leftover popcorn and drinks from the previous showing.
    Rose V.

What an awful experience. I ordered our tickets online. When we got there, half the tickets printed and half didn't. I don't know why we need a paper ticket when it was bought online. It took awhile to get someone to help us. We walked into the theater and it was not cleaned from the previous movie. Popcorn tubs and drinks still on tables. The seats were nice and wide but they did not recline and the foot board barely came out. There are QR codes on the tables to order food. We ordered food and my phone kept saying pending for 10 minutes so I walked to the front to make sure it went through. I didn't want to be charge twice. It took an hour to get our food, $42 for onion rings, chicken tenders, chicken wings, and fries and a soft drink. Super overpriced if you ask me. The onion rings were basically cut in half, they were the size of donuts. Everything was flavorless. No sauces or dips for the wings. I don't know if sauce on them would have made them taste any better. Our friends for their food way later than us when we ordered at the same time. They were missing food as well. We had to ask for a refund at the end of the movie. Someone else was also was complaining they didn't get their food at all. There seems to be a lot of things Apple Cinema needs to fix.

I thought it was decent. We didn't experience any of the issues that previous reviewers mentioned so not sure if they have fixed some things maybe...? It was odd that you have to stop for a printed ticket after booking online, especially since no one checked or asked for the paper ticket. The theatre and bathrooms were clean and tidy. I do wish they allowed Apple Pay or similar when ordering food since that would make it easier and less awkward than having to fill out a whole credit card info form. The food itself was good. For those saying their food came without sauce, etc, if you want to add anything to your food (ketchup to a burger, hold the tomato, sauce on your wings, etc) you have to add the item to your cart first, then when you're viewing your cart, click to edit the item and all the options are there. We got a burger that was really good, not gourmet restaurant style or anything, but comparable to high end fast food, like Shake Shack. Fries were good but they could have been hotter and saltier. Service was accurate and fast, we ordered right before the trailers started and the food came out before the movie started. All in I would go back again. I thought it was cool being able to order food and drinks while watching a movie. Seats were comfy, prices were reasonable.

We visited for a free event through our realtor. I frequented the Pittsford cinema often and was disappointed when it closed. I was looking forward to seeing what had been done to the theatre. The renovation is very clean and modern. I loved the corridor design. The digital posters which played trailers was an exciting detail. The bathroom looked the same; I did not notice much difference here. Before our visit I read an article which shared "the theatre will have the area's first large screen with Dolby Atmos -- a popular surround-sound format." The picture and sound were amazing in our screening. The new seats were not for me. They did not fully recline and were very narrow compared to other chains. Over time the seat started to feel uncomfortable and I was having to fidget to find a position which worked for me. We did not get to experience the at your seat dining, so I am unable to comment on this aspect. Popcorn was distributed prior to seating for our event and the quality of the popcorn was very good. Hot and delicious with the taste of real butter. I would like to visit again but there is not much that set this apart from other local theaters for me.

Looks like they ran out of popcorn buckets..

It was great finding a local, well ( Rochester) way, new venue, I'm from a suburb of Buffalo. After searching other theaters in the local Rochester area, this fit my availability . There are various productions held throughout their season, starting in a few months. The theater held a summer program for kids. The kids were then in one of the plays held for the public. I choose to see Legally Blonde 2, at Nazreth College. Even though, ran late as it was my first time at Nazreth College, for a performance, staff and patrons were kind in getting us late comers sitted. Talented young kids, look forward to checking out one of there regular productions in the future.

However, there were some frustrations. When purchasing tickets, it wasn't made clear that this was a high school student production, which led to different expectations. The biggest issue, though, was the venue itself. The café space was much more cramped than advertised, and the seating chart didn't accurately reflect how tight the setup would be. There were just two of us, and it already felt uncomfortable. If the table had been full, it would have been extremely tight--likely to the point where we would have left. I appreciate the effort from the cast, but clearer, more honest communication about both the type of production and the seating arrangement would make a big difference.

I came to see The Wedding Invitation directed by Rainy Kerwin on the last night of the 2016 High Falls Film Festival. The Wedding Invitation is your typical rom-com, filled with heartbreak and laughter. The story was focused on the lives of three female leads who make a game out of trying to get their perfect dates for a wedding in less than a week. When this film was being produced movies like Bridesmaids had not actually come out yet, so, although movies with female leads are now getting more attention, there is still much competition with being recognized as being a "hit". This is especially difficult because 60% of sales come from foreign markets, and foreign markets only recognize the profitability of female leads at a fraction of what a male lead would be. For example, a movie with a female lead would make 2 million compared to a male lead that would make 20 million. But this gap is decreasing with the increasing enjoyment and sales of these types of movies which is wonderful. What is also really amazing about this experience is to understand that this great film, because it wasn't picked up by a major label studio, was made on a tight budget- as most independent films are. I think it's important for people to realize that independent films have some amazing content in them and they should not be discredited as being just as enjoyable as those produced by bigger studios. To top it all off there was a Q&A session with the director Rainy Kerwin afterwards. She was so personable, alive and open- it was very cool to meet the person who made the film I had just enjoyed on the big screen and be able to shake her hand.

We were seated promptly at a nice table and brought water immediately. Our server Ryan came and told us about the specials and took our drink order. She returned several minutes later and took our orders for dinner. I was looking forward to the risotto because they always have a good risotto special, my husband had the limoncello chicken. Drinks came out and then the bread, nice and warm. The salads seemed to take a little longer than usual but the greens were fresh. Unfortunately that's where the good ended. We waited and waited for dinner. Tables around us that arrived after us were being served their meals. We waited patiently, making conversation trying not to feel annoyed. Ryan returned asking if we needed more to drink or more bread, no we still had bread. She apologized for the delay and said she would check with the kitchen. She returned 15 minutes later and said the kitchen was working on our orders. We were at 1 hour at this point, 10 minutes later our food finally arrived, it looked beautiful. The shrimp placed decoratively on top of the risotto, scallops lightly seared. The chicken in a creamy white sauce with linguini and fresh herbs on top. My first bite of the risotto was a disappointment, it was undercooked, more than a little al dente (risotto is not supposed to be any al dente). I tried different places around the dish to see if maybe there was some way to save this dinner, sadly not. We waited well over an hour for our dinners and it was undercooked. The scallops were good as were the shrimp so those were eaten. Our server did not return to ask how our dinners were. The chicken dish was good and my husband enjoyed it, brought half home as it was an ample portion. When Ryan returned she offered boxes, I declined since you cannot fix undercooked risotto. I explained what was wrong and she said she would let the owner know because he was helping in the kitchen. She returned with the wrapped up chicken and offered a free cannoli to compensate for the problem. We accepted, my husband ate it because I don't care for cannolis. We paid our check and left. I was surprised that if the owner was working in the kitchen and alerted to the problem that he didn't come out. I found that a bit strange, if it was my restaurant and someone said the special that was priced at $42 was not cooked properly I would come out to apologize for the problem. He did not, we paid the check and left. We have eaten there twice before and our meals were good. We do not eat out at nice restaurants often but because it was my 60th birthday we decided the occasion was worth the splurge. Sadly I don't think we will return based on the long dinner preparation time and the quality/price of the risotto. We don't mind paying extra for good food but this was disappointing.
