My love for supporting local theater, goes back to watching school plays and enjoy them with my mom. This past Saturday, discovered through an online search this theater. It was great finding a local, well ( Rochester) way, new venue, I'm from a suburb of Buffalo. After searching other theaters in the local Rochester area, this fit my availability . There are various productions held throughout their season, starting in a few months. The theater held a summer program for kids. The kids were then in one of the plays held for the public. I choose to see Legally Blonde 2, at Nazreth College. Even though, ran late as it was my first time at Nazreth College, for a performance, staff and patrons were kind in getting us late comers sitted. I'm giving this experience 2 stars. The performers put in a lot of effort, and the kids did a great job bringing The Outsiders to life with the resources they had. However, there were some frustrations. When purchasing tickets, it wasn't made clear that this was a high school student production, which led to different expectations. The biggest issue, though, was the venue itself. The café space was much more cramped than advertised, and the seating chart didn't accurately reflect how tight the setup would be. There were just two of us, and it already felt uncomfortable. If the table had been full, it would have been extremely tight--likely to the point where we would have left. I appreciate the effort from the cast, but clearer, more honest communication about both the type of production and the seating arrangement would make a big difference. read more

Did not realize this theatre was in a shopping plaza. Visited for the first time during the holiday season to see Emmet Otter's Jug Band Christmas. It was easy to get in and out with plenty of parking. When we arrived lines were long for the bathrooms and bar. Only two bathrooms were available, each a single private room. There was a photo op display for the show which was fun. The drink menu was customized to reflect songs and characters in the show. I went to the bar during intermission and got up quick enough to avoid lines. The theatre itself was large. We had front row seats and did not realize just how close to the stage those seats were. The performance was wonderful and it was an intimate experience being so close to the performers. I was pleased with our seats and thought they were worth the price. Absolutely loved the show! I left impressed with OFC Creations Theatre Center and would love to take in another show here. read more

As a huge Rocky Horror Picture Show fan, I could not miss it when I heard it was coming to OFC this October. The set up is a bit unusual, as it's in a strip mall and has two parts to it, the cafe and the theater. I'm dating myself when I say I think at least part of this is the old Comix Cafe. There was a small themed appetizer menu and many drink options of cocktails, coffee, and tea. Our show took place mostly in the cafe, which I didn't care for. The chairs were absolutely crammed in, making it hard to get out to get a drink or go to the bathroom (and we were asked not to use the bathroom during the performance which, kind of understandable due to space but what if you really had to go?). The actors and performances were wonderful, but the cafe could benefit from even a small riser in the peformance area as I couldn't see the actors during some of the scenes if they weren't directly in front of me. We were close to the end of the show when we were told to go over to the theater portion for the rest (this makes sense if you've seen the movie). This theater had COMFY seats and the view was great. Garrett Clayton was just fantastic as Dr. Frank (he's been in several movies), and the rest of the cast was excellent too. The actor playing Magenta had a beautiful voice. And the costumes were fab! I am a theater lover and am looking forward to more shows at this new-to-me theater, but will probably avoid the cafe for performances going forward. Next stop, White Christmas! read more

OMG AMAZING Theater, Recommend, Recommend, Recommend! The quality of the show I saw was amazing. It was so good, I went twice to the same show! I can't wait to see more of their productions. Almost 100% of the seats have excellent views of the stage. I found the first two rows on the very ends to be a bit uncomfortable; you're looking pretty hard to the left or right but literally every other seat, even the very back has a great view. read more

Show we saw: The Grinch (December 2025) Pros: there isn't a bad seat in the theatre. It is small and quaint. Seats are comfortable. The concessions are reasonably priced. Cons: For the ticket price the value isn't there We paid $233 for 4 tickets (with fees) We have seen many high school productions (shows at Greece Athena, for example) for $12-15 where the talent, set and quality were superior to this show. It wasn't bad, it was fine. It was cute, colorful, most characters were very good (save Grandfather Who was clearly not a singer). So it wasn't a bad show. But when I asked our adult daughters that we gifted this family outing for (who see lots of musicals) what they thought the ticket price was, they said $20. They were shocked to know what we paid for the show. This ranked alongside many high school productions we've seen in terms of talent and set quality (often with live orchestra while this was recorded music - and I understand there is no space for live musicians). So, for the money, it is not phenomenal. In November 2025 I saw OFC's student production of Newsies for $15. And I am very sorry to be truthful but it was awful. It was a show for the parents and grandparents of the kids and clearly one of those shows that anyone who paid the fee to be in the show was cast. It was cringe worthy. I'm so sorry to say. I also saw a production of Newsies in December 2025 at a tiny private school in Lima (high school student body of about 50 kids) that was hands-down many times better. I'd love to see more shows at OFC but not at the ticket price we paid for Grinch. I see they'll be doing a student version of Something Rotten over the summer. One of my favorite shows but I'm very nervous to trust what I'm paying for. read more

Great venue with a reasonably big stage. It's all so intimate there isn't a bad seat in the house. The focus on local talent is wonderful. There's a bar and movie type snacks available that you can bring in with you while you enjoy the show. read more

Great location and venue for a dance recital. Went here for the first time to watch my niece's dance recital. Plenty of room, cozy and comfortable seats. There is a bar and snacks available when you first walk in. Paid $5 for slice of pizza and it tasted like it was sitting all day. Candy bars, soda, water and chips that you can purchase and bring into the show to enjoy. Plenty of parking. read more

OFC is an organization I've been volunteering with for a few years. They've recently moved into the Lyric Theatre and continue to put on great shows on both the big stage and the smaller cabaret theatre in the back. It's a solid group of directors, staff, and volunteers committed to Rochester theatre and theatre arts education. The spaces are still being improved for sound and light. read more

Recently attended the Golden Girls Christmas Carol production with a friend on Sunday. Theatre is small, so not crowded, production, was clever, well performed, and worth the price. Covid precautions were followed, they have beverages for sale, restrooms, and plenty of parking. We're looking forward to the Hocus Pocus production in October of 2022 already so definitely will be back. If you like small theatre's, clever, off beat shows, check this place out, I think you will like it too. read more

What can I say about OFC! For my daughter it is her second home and for her younger sister we look forward to many more years as part of the family. The girls have attended both camps and school year theater programs including Bare, Moana, 13, Sweeney Todd, Little Shop just to name a few. All well casted and we always feel that the directors share the leads as opposed to always casting the same kids. We just had the privilege of attending The Golden Girls Christmas Carol and it was perfection! Funny, uplifting, full of holiday spirit, nostalgic and side splitting laughter! read more

Very good experience! Directors make sure everyone is included, costumes are great and super detailed, and everyone is really nice there! Also have a very strict no bullying policy which is really cool. I would definitely recommend this for all who want to try theater or have done it many times and wants to pick it back up. read more

A friend and I went to see The Golden Girls Christmas Carol musical and had a great time. There is a bar and I saw people carrying drinks in. We didn't get drinks so I don't know the price range. We got VIP seats in the second row. The seats are comfortable and we liked being right up front for this play. It's a smaller and more intimate venue and very nice. I hope to go there for another play soon. A very nice little theatre. read more
