Review of Williamsburg Apple Door systems residential garage door repair on 9/4/2025. Called Apple Door Systems on a Tues, tech said he would be there on Thursday between 1 and 3. At 1:00, the tech called and said he would be there in 5 minutes. I live in the Lightfoot area of Williamsburg VA. Tech (JB Stewart) showed up right on time. Super friendly and super knowledgeable. He had all the parts with him and about 30 - 45 minutes later the garage door was fixed. (the spring had broken and he replaced, plus some minor adjustments). I should point out that Apple was the 3rd company I called. The first 2 (ATW and another company whose name escapes me) never returned my calls. I can't comment on Apple pricing, because I wanted my garage fixed ASAP. I paid about $450 to have the springs replaced. I can't say if that's high, low, or average since the other guys never called me back to even give me a price. 5 stars for Apple and JB Stewart. read more

Great customer service. I called the morning of March 7. My garage door torsion spring broke over night. Both of my vehicles were stuck inside. the lady at Apple Door system put me on schedule for the same day. Conner and Shannon were top notch. they were polite, courteous, and left the work area clean. The staff was friendly from the first call and the service technicians were knowledgeable. They clearly explained my situation and options. Their pricing for service was very fair. They were hired by our contractor to install 4 garage doors on a new boat barn. The house where these were installed is a part time residence. One of the doors malfunctioned repeatedly after only a few times being used..... We asked for help getting it and one other door working. A technician came and we hope this fix will stick. We were told the doors were out of warrantee ( one year) though they had only been opened 3-4 times in that year. Charge....$120. OUCH. Also never a mention of the supposed military discount for which we qualified. Customer service....not so much. When asked by neighbors and friends if we would recommend them, sorry to say the answer will be "no". read more

My husband and I had a very poor experience with this company. We went into the store to order a garage door screen and the sales man was helpful, but not pushy at all. Eric was his name and we put a deposit down on a garage door screen. He informed us that he would have to come out to measure the door and we set up a date and time. On the day he was supposed to come out, we never heard from him. I called the store for several days trying to reach him to find out if he was still coming and if there was a problem to please let me know. I never received a call back, so i called again and asked for a refund as there has not been any communication on their part. I was told that Eric had come out and took the measurements and had placed the order. I asked why didn't he ring the door bell and let me know he was there and I was told that she didn't know why he didn't ring the bell, but that he had put in the order and she would have him call me. I never received a call. I called again to get an update several weeks later and was told that Eric would get me the update and still did not receive a call. It has now been a full two months, and i have not received one communication from this company. I called and the receptionist tried to look it up or contact the warehouse to find out and tried to direct me to the sales man again, and I told her he has never returned any of my calls so at this time i just want my money back. She said, he had to refund it and she would definately make sure he called. I did finally receive a call back with a date out another 6 weeks, which to me means, that he had never placed the original order and the call back came from a woman who said her name was "Erica", so again, this salesperson did not call. I did get my refund, but i do not recommend ever dealing with this company. I don't know how they got 4 stars, but they are not worth the one star i gave them. read more

Salesman was very responsive and helpful. It's worth having them come out. I was not expecting it to be as affordable as it was for the features of the door that I wanted. Turned out to be cheaper installed by Apple than the big box stores wanted for just a comparable level door. Installers were courteous and on time. Doors work great and look great. read more

I purchased a garage door opener from them approximately 4 years ago. When I had to change the code on the side panel I e-mailed them to ask how to do that and the President got back to me very quickly. It was great because I didn't have to hunt for the paperwork which was who knows where! His instructions worked the first time. The garage door opener works super well. read more

I was very pleased with the entire process when I called Apple Door to repair a garage door that I had backed into. I called the company that had installed the door first. After 3 weeks they finally came to look at the door so they could give me a quote. Once finally receiving the quote, I learned that they had originally overcharged me and did not offer to compensate me for the overcharge after I brought it to their attention. I decided to call Apple. They immediately gave me an appointment with a technician. The technician was polite and friendly. I was told it would take two weeks to get the parts. The only reason I gave a 4 star instead of a 5 star is because after two weeks I had not heard from them and called to check on the status. I was then scheduled and the installation of parts was completed as promised. Overall, very happy with Apple and would definitely use them again. read more

Over a month ago I requested a quote, a very nice person came to the house and took extensive measurements. I was told it could take several days to work on the bid. The project was a bit out of the norm but I gave the the service agent several options to pick from from custom to just buy a new door and install it. I phoned to follow up, which should be their job, but took the high road. Time can slip away when you are busy. I phoned again and was sent an email 2 days later apologizing for the delay and that they needed more measurements and what date would I be available. I responded and gave an open pick of days response. No word, no reply, no phone call. Very disappointed, and obviously they are not interested in my business. It would have been nice to have at least been giving the courtesy of a phone call, email, anything to say we jusy can not service your request. Maybe their work is good, but the follow up is sorely lacking. read more
