First, the decor beautiful and everything is up to date and well-maintained. The big beds are really comfortable, the showers are clean and spacious and have good hot water and water pressure, the tub drains well, and the whole premises is safe and well-lit. The whole hotel is non-smoking. It's a very clean, very well kept up, and well-run hotel. The free Wi-Fi always worked. The locks could be connected to my iPhone via Bluetooth so I only had to press a button on an app on my phone to get into the building and unlock the door to my room. We had two big flat screen TVs with all the channels. There was a nice welcome message stating my Hilton membership status on the TV every time I checked in. A Target is across the parking lot and I loved that. It was so convenient. We really enjoyed the breakfasts. Derrick and his team did an amazing job, providing a delicious variety of fresh hot and cold food every day. The breakfast room has lots of plants and a high ceiling and enormous windows, and it just felt refreshing and invigorating to step in there every day. It had a good vibe. Due to my home being destroyed by water damage, my husband and were guests here for a full four months. I'm so grateful to everyone here for making this our home away from home during an extremely turbulent and stressful time. Many of the employees here were a blessing. Also, this hotel does not charge any Iadditional Resort fees, so in total we paid about $589 for a room with 2 double beds and a city view on the 19th (out of 22) floor. As soon as we arrived, there were a lot of staff at the front desk, some looked like managers. They were extremely friendly. I believe Layla (?) checked us in and let us know that our room would be ready in about 15 minutes. They were always greeting us whenever we went through the lobby. The room itself was nice, not too small or crowded (unlike other rooms I stayed in while visiting NYC that were super tiny). Sheets and towels were clean; however some of the towels had holes and were ripping. The bathroom was slightly older-looking, the shower floor looked like it could use a heavy bleach cleaning. They provided 2 free water bottles each day, which was awesome. There were also toiletries available in the bathroom: mouthwash, lotion, q-tips, shower cap, nail file. The shower also had three dispensers, I believe they were shampoo, conditioner and body wash. I didn't use them, so didn't pay much attention. The lowest level had a really tiny gym and ice machine. The gym was very small and extremely hot. However, it was nice to have one. The hotel itself is not easy to find from the street/sidewalk. You would have to look for the hotel restaurant name first, then you'll find the hotel.

So I needed a hotel room with a microwave, small stove and decent sized fridge. The fridge was leaking water when I arrived. The microwave was broken and despite me calling down and asking the front desk to look at it (and them promising they would "send an engineer"), they never did send anyone to fix it. I moved the chair to sit down and do some work, and there was a fully exposed electrical outlet jammed right up against a curtain, just waiting to start a fire. The room was old and the furniture banged up. A lot of the drawers were badly jammed and hard to use. The cabinet doors over the stove were broken. There was hair in the bathroom. The "kitchen flatware" advertised included two spoons, two forks, two butter knives, one steak knife with a broken handle, one butcher knife, a large plastic spoon and no spatula, but instead a kind of grilling meat fork. Most of the things in the kitchen had been put back dirty and had to be washed before use. The showerhead barely functioned at all, making showers next to impossible, and there was no hot water on my second morning there. I made the best of it out of necessity and checked out at the end of my trip. I showed the woman at the front counter a picture of just the electrical outlet (zoomed in, without any context for it) and she immediately identified it as being "the one behind the chair", so they already knew about it, but just didn't bother to fix it. This is a MASSIVE fire risk, and a hazard to anyone staying in the room with small children who might stick their fingers into the wall space around the socket and get electrocuted. I mentioned the microwave had never gotten looked at and was broken during my stay and the lady at the desk simply ignored me, turned away and said nothing until I left the hotel. I would recommend staying at this hotel only if it's your absolute only option.
