Rh guesthouse is so much nicer than the RH Rooftop. I liked the atmosphere and the food; they serve cocktails! The menu includes more pricier items like Wagyu steak. From the second we entered the restaurant, everyone was so nice. Guy at the entrance door, hostess, our waiter.... So friendly. We loved the decor.. the food reviews seemed more positive at the Guesthouse and we agree. Completely different vibe. Rooftop is casual, family friendly. Guesthouse is more for special dinners, meetings, dates, etc... There's no dress code, I came in leggings and sneakers and we were treated like royalty. We ordered a lobster roll for L and I got 2 mini lobsters with caviar for our appetizers. We both preferred our own app but with caviar or without, the lobster was delicious.. much better than the rooftop. I went to the rooftop the following week to compare. The meat was sweet and savory.. very buttery. Rooftop had too much mayo, we almost ordered another one. The caviar lobster rolls were good but the caviar wasn't necessary... I just wanted to try it. I ordered a Negroni and it was also really good and so cute with the RH ice cube. Then came the Wagyu steak and my Branzino. Both were delicious. L ordered his steak Medium Rare. I make amazing steak but I don't mess with Wagyu so it was actually very tasty. They had finishing salt on the side. The steak was seasoned perfectly so it didn't need additional salt. My Branzino had so much meaty flesh I couldn't finish it. It's enough for 2 almost.... I also ordered the sweet potatoes since it got great reviews. It tasted exactly like how I made it once at home but I want to eat healthier so I don't put all the extra ingredients usually. Everything was so good. Great service. Upscale yet cozy RH guesthouse location. Dimly lit, perfect for date night, girls night or special event. Big fan of RH restaurants so wanted to check this out. The chicken sandwhich was delicious, bread was toasted perfectly yet chewy on the inside. The chicken was tender. The steak frites were okay. Wish the gravy had more flavor, whoever steak was perfectly cooked. The sweet potato was perfectly caramelized, dolloped with crème fresh. Portions were generally small for the price - bit disappointing. Birthday cake was standard funfetti cake, nothing special. The ice cream with sprinkles was (complimentary since I indicated it was a bday celebration upon reserving) we left a bit hungry but enjoyed overall experience. I came here to celebrate my birthday dinner. The restaurant itself was beautiful but I prefer the ambiance of RH rooftop more. This restaurant was very dark, great for a date night though.  My cocktail was great. To eat, I had their filet mignon. It came with asparagus and a delicious sauce. Everything else was a la carte. My sister enjoyed her Chinese chicken salad and baked potato with caviar. For dessert we had a slice of birthday cake, they did bring this out with a candle.  Overall, it was a great dining experience, however, there are plenty of other restaurants in the area with more charm. With the high prices for these meals, you expect it to be good, and it was, but we ate at some more lively restaurants on this visit that I enjoyed more. read more

Great ambiance, good for large groups but not very vegetarian friendly. The ambiance was lovely, love the vibes, great selection of wines, friendly staff. Only issue for me was being a vegetarian I didn't have options to choose from. They didn't have even a single vegetarian main course...so all I ate was sides...mostly the truffle fries It's on top of restorations hardware...like a rooftop bar. Beautiful building and rooftop restaurant. It takes you away from the chockfull busy streets. From the crystal chandeliers to marble tables and waterfall sprouts throughout. I had the lobster roll, truffle fries and cappeletti spritz. So tasty and a normal portion (not overwhelming). The indoor rooftop seemed outdoor because of the brightly lit NY city skyline and sunset. So beautiful and luxurious. Upon leaving admired the floors showroom. I have to be honest--I wasn't impressed. The service was extremely slow, and my lamb chops had to be sent back because they came out rare instead of the medium rare I was told to expect. My God... the food changed me. I have nothing but kind words to share about this restaurant: cleanest bathrooms that I've ever stepped foot in, the kindest waiters (who laughed along instead of scorning us like most other waiters do to teenage parties), and the food. Our party ordered the fried chicken sando, lobster rolls, and the rotisserie chicken sandwich. I didn't taste the rotisserie chicken but the lobster roll and chicken sando were absolutely delicious. The portion sizes were reasonable for the prices as well. The game changer was the sweet potato that we ordered as the side. Super belated review! I dined at RH Guesthouse for lunch back in March, and had a fantastic experience. I'm kicking myself for not taking *any* photos! The setting is stunning - super high ceilings, great natural lighting, comfy chairs. We were greeted by the the sommelier who was incredibly knowledgeable about the restaurant's wine selections, and he made some excellent suggestions for the table (note they only offer wine and beer, no cocktails). We shared several sides to start - Charred baby peppers, truffle fries, and the fresh burrata - all of which were cooked to perfection. We splurged for caviar with creme fraiche and champagne before moving onto our mains, and the decision was well worth it. The rotisserie chicken sandwich was served on French bread, and it was the juiciest, most flavorful piece of chicken I've ever had. To cap of this remarkable dining experience, I recommend the banana split for dessert! Definitely a splurge, but the ambience, service, and food are worth it. read more

The ambience here is 10/10, gorgeous tall ceilings with plush round chairs, hidden lights in the walls and phenomenal lighting above each table. This place is the embodiment of luxury, it's amazing! Service here is amazing too, the service staff opened the doors for you as you walk in and / or leaving the restaurant. The food was also great, we got the chicken sandwich and the American breakfast. The chicken sandwich was served on a nice toasted French baguette and was really juicy. 8.5/10 The American breakfast was such a good value, the eggs were so soft and buttery. The potatoes had a crunchy batter, the sausage was so good! 9/10 Overall the meal was incredible, the pricing is probably on the higher side for lunch but the quality is really high. Good service. Pretty place. Huge price. Wine list is for sultans. Everything was good but falls a bit short of being worth $200/person. Stars: 1 - Decor and Ambiance is top notch 2 - Service was friendly, prompt, and attentive. A+ 3 - Food was well seasoned and prepared, birthday cake was excellent Criticisms (to be read in Frasier voice): Wine List is truly in the nosebleed section even for NYC. Cheapest glass is $26. Average glass is $35/40. Anything under $20 would be welcome. No beer or cocktails yet so maybe they come to their senses. Cheapest bottle is $100, average bottle $175 or higher. Special occasion or library pricing but for young middle-top names like Peay, Penfolds. The white burgundy we got was good but it better be for $160/bottle. This review may sound snooty and cheap but I assure you is completely fair if you dine out and drink wine. NYC restaurants need to remember a $16 glass commonly charged is robbery compared to anywhere, and I swear the city thinks its Argentina with these price levels rising every quarter. Burger meat was great, but crusty ciabatta or whatever is never an enjoyable bread for a burg. You can't cut it and bites are tough, meat slides out. For a $36 burger, it was 4/5 when I was hoping for Minetta Black Label level. No side included. I'd eat it again tho. Truffle fries at $20 ... which you can also get plain for ... $20. Sweet potato was excellent if small and sorta sweet. Half Chicken was well cooked if plain. Good portion. $42. No side. No bread / butter is a miss. For $200/person I kinda would appreciate Michelin style amuse / petit four touches, but bread is essential at this tier. Overall a solid spot that needs a new wine / drink pricing strategy. I'd forgive the food menu pricing if they came to their senses on beverages. Shave $10-$25 off every glass and you'd look something like a two-michelin-star place anywhere else on planet Earth. I'm sure people will line up to pay this much due to meatpacking, but I will be headed to mere $20/glass and under wine country, and back to the old RH rooftop if in need of decor. read more

We were warmly greeted and escorted to our table, all while appreciating the textures and fixtures that elevate the beige on beige interior design. Dinner- Imperial Kaluga caviar by Petrossian with avocado- 4.5 Green bean salad- 4 Wagyu ribeye- 4.5! Very good, and at a massive 14oz, I begged my husband to split it with me. Whole Branzino- friend loved it. Maitake mushrooms with potatoes- vegetarian friend loved it. Roasted sweet potatoes- 4.5! Truffle fries- 4 Service and setting: 5+ If you are visiting NYC and need a hotel, you may wish to reserve one of the few suites available. The dog was there at the table with a birthday hat, I just didn't think it was sanitary to have a dog at such an upscale place. I am a huge fan of RH Rooftop so when I saw this open I couldn't wait to make a reservation. Unfortunately the cost to value ratio is wayyyyy off. There are no cocktails and for a decent glass of wine expect to pay $30+ per glass. The food menu is limited - do you want the $65 sandwich or the $125 ribeye. The food while tasty does not justify the cost. The steak sandwich from their rooftop frankly is way better and only $30. The vibe over there is also much better too. The restaurant, while pretty, is a very basic wood room that echos all conversation to where the music cannot be heard. I was desperately missing the chandeliers or a candle or anything to give me ambiance outside of rotating chickens. I'm glad I went but I will not be back. read more
