Upscale yet cozy RH guesthouse location. Dimly lit, perfect for date night, girls night or special event. Big fan of RH restaurants so wanted to check this out. The chicken sandwhich was delicious, bread was toasted perfectly yet chewy on the inside. The chicken was tender. The steak frites were okay. Wish the gravy had more flavor, whoever steak was perfectly cooked. The sweet potato was perfectly caramelized, dolloped with crème fresh. Portions were generally small for the price - bit disappointing. Birthday cake was standard funfetti cake, nothing special. The ice cream with sprinkles was (complimentary since I indicated it was a bday celebration upon reserving) we left a bit hungry but enjoyed overall experience. Note: go downstairs for lit up staircase and mirror picture opportunity. Very clean and luxurious bathrooms.

I loved the food and the service was excellent. I would definitely go back. The appetizers were spectacular, and the drinks were exceptional. We Ubered so I'm not certain about the parking situation.

I came here to celebrate my birthday dinner. The restaurant itself was beautiful but I prefer the ambiance of RH rooftop more. This restaurant was very dark, great for a date night though.  My cocktail was great. To eat, I had their filet mignon. It came with asparagus and a delicious sauce. Everything else was a la carte. My sister enjoyed her Chinese chicken salad and baked potato with caviar. For dessert we had a slice of birthday cake, they did bring this out with a candle.  Overall, it was a great dining experience, however, there are plenty of other restaurants in the area with more charm. With the high prices for these meals, you expect it to be good, and it was, but we ate at some more lively restaurants on this visit that I enjoyed more.

Let me tell you, I did not expect to be a welcomed guest to this guesthouse... but the service and the food were surprisingly delicious. Shoutout out to Zach! For the excellent recommendations... the sexy vibes. Romantic, chill... muy nice. This guesthouse wants you to be a guest... worth a go.

Great ambiance, good for large groups but not very vegetarian friendly. The ambiance was lovely, love the vibes, great selection of wines, friendly staff. Only issue for me was being a vegetarian I didn't have options to choose from. They didn't have even a single vegetarian main course...so all I ate was sides...mostly the truffle fries It's on top of restorations hardware...like a rooftop bar. I might come back for drinks but not sure I'll come back for food

Loved everything about my experience here Stellar service and food offerings, everything we ordered was pretty good! I appreciate their caviar options as well, would love to check out the caviar and champagne bar downstairs. This place is so gorgeous inside. Great place for an elevated girls dinner or date night

Me and 2 of my friends made reservations for a Thursday night! It was a rainy night but was still packed inside! I ordered an aperol spritz and for my entree I had the branzino and a side of broccolini. The branzino was seasoned just enough to Bri g out the flavor on the crispy fish...I was surprised I liked it so much! The chef also sent out some caviar bites. Great experience, the server was just ok..but the food and ambiance made up for it.

We love exploring the different RHS around the country. This one was absolutely spectacular. Located in the most quaint and charming neighborhood. They meet packing district. Service was a little bit slow, but overall the experience was amazing. Everyone had a positive attitude and you can tell the restaurant takes pride and itself which it should! Lovely menu, I highly recommend the lobster rolls with caviar. Definitely book an advance for a memorable experience.

We celebrated my husband's birthday at this lovely hotel and couldn't have been more impressed with the service, food & hospitality. Kevin,Michael, Genesis, Zach, Dillion & Dezria were all outstanding & took very good care of us during our stay. The suite was gorgeous & had every amenity you could want & the rooftop pool was very relaxing. The food at the RH Guesthouse is always top notch & delicious. We look forward to returning.

Beautiful building and rooftop restaurant. It takes you away from the chockfull busy streets. From the crystal chandeliers to marble tables and waterfall sprouts throughout. I had the lobster roll, truffle fries and cappeletti spritz. So tasty and a normal portion (not overwhelming). The indoor rooftop seemed outdoor because of the brightly lit NY city skyline and sunset. So beautiful and luxurious. Upon leaving admired the floors showroom. Best dining experience, thanks Grace!

I have to be honest--I wasn't impressed. The service was extremely slow, and my lamb chops had to be sent back because they came out rare instead of the medium rare I was told to expect. On a positive note, the mini lobster rolls were absolutely delicious--10 out of 10--and I actually wish I had ordered more. Unfortunately, the potatoes served with the lamb chops were super bland, though very crispy. The lamb chops themselves were just okay. Overall, not somewhere I would recommend or plan to return to.

I cannot say enough about RH Guesthouse, The Dining Room. I have previously dined at RH Rooftop, which was amazing, so to say I was a bit nervous, is an understatement. From the moment the manager opened the front door for my group, to the final taste of my Butterscotch Brule'e for dessert, the experience was unmatched. I highly recommend the Rotisserie Chicken, Roasted Sweet Potatoes, Whole Branzino, and Crispy Artichokes.

Delicious food. Delicious wine. Great service. Very beautiful ambiance inside and out. Only thing is, they should have a small cocktail list for people who maybe don't drink only wine or beer.

The location cannot be beat - central to everything a person could want to do or see in Manhattan (perhaps this is best illustrated by the fact that it is RIGHT NEXT DOOR to Harney and Sons, the best tea shop in NYC, which is saying a lot). The service could not have been better. I arrived prior to my check-in time and they were so gracious; I was completely discombobulated due to being there for a memorial event, and was still pretty upset about my loss. They were so understanding, and even found a different, BETTER room for me to check in to that let me change and leave for my event. I wish I could give more stars. The hotel itself is so lovely. The courtyard is an oasis of calm, and with only a handful of rooms, the entire property is on a human scale that is otherwise nearly impossible to find in NYC. It is a super-refreshing contrast to large, corporate hotels that thousands of people sweep in and out of, with all of their messes, germs, etc; this place feels like you're staying in the stately home of a very solicitous friend. The breakfast cooked to order on the premises (next to the courtyard) was so nice, and started the day in such a civilized way. The rooms were very nice, too. Perhaps best of all -- and again, nearly unheard-of in NYC -- they were QUIET. Even in one with a window on the street, I was able to sleep like a baby. My only regret is that my trip was such a whirlwind that I wasn't better able to express to the staff how much they helped me in a difficult time. But I hope this conveys some of that here -- you could not ask for a better home away from home on your travels in New York.

Our double room was a little on the small side but as we only really used it as a base it was all we needed. My only reservation would be I didn't feel 100% safe walking back late at night and wouldn't advise anyone did so on their own as these streets are dark and quiet. The owners are fantastic people - friendly, helpful and complete animal lovers just like my boyfriend and I so a percentage of what you pay goes to a nearby animal charity. We also had a lot of luggage to leave behind that we had accrued on our trip: bags, clothes, books etc. and the lady who owned the hostel told us she'd take it all down to the homeless shelter and charity shops. Before we checked out the male owner showed us some of their bigger rooms which were more like little self-contained apartments - they were really lovely. I think we would pay slightly more to stay in one of these if we were to return, but I also know there is a dorm on the top floor for those who are budgeting. Throughout my stay I encountered a number of unpleasantries, the most disturbing of which began on the evening of Oct 10th.  The first thing I noticed upon settling in was how much I could hear commotion from neighboring rooms. Loud reverberant footsteps from the guests directly above - both with shoes and socks - were abnormally invasive. I requested earplugs but they were largely ineffective. When switched to heat, the HVAC system sounded like a dumpster falling down a flight of stairs. Towels contained hair on them, a countless amount of small fruit flies circled in the kitchen and throughout the room, and I even discovered a small cockroach crawling on the bathroom floor.  However, starting at around 5pm on Oct 10th, a loud party began in the room directly next door. Pounding music and yelling that continued to escalate with alcohol dominated all night. I had phoned the front desk at 9pm, again at 10pm, and finally at 2am. Despite the front desk employees' claims to have asked the guests to discontinue the noise, they were ignored and the situation was never properly addressed. Loud drunken screaming arguments broke out inside and spilled into the hallways and balcony. At one point a woman began crying in the hall. I have taken several video recordings to document just some of the noise. I probably could have actually gotten some sleep in my car. This is completely inexcusable and brazenly unprofessional from a business standpoint. The sort of negligence and treatment I received was baffling. These guests should have been fined and removed. Instead, the noise was allowed to continue through my checkout process at 3:30am and I got no sleep despite having a 2am wake up for a flight. Front desk staff simply threw up their hands and took a helpless position. Guests were left to fend for themselves. I heard several try and fail to get anyone to stop the noise. Needless to say, I will not be returning to this hotel. As a professional who travels frequently to NY, I think my associates, partners, and friends should be informed to steer clear. I don't see how the cost was justified in the slightest. Paying to be sleep deprived is not exactly my idea of a pleasant stay. If this "hotel" had an ounce of integrity, they'd be reviewing all guests who stayed during this mayhem and comp the evening at the very least. I've emailed the manager Peter and have not received a response. Abject failure as an establishment and a marvel they're in business.

Extremely disappointing and deeply concerning experience…read more This hotel claims to be a Christian-based organization, which makes what happened even more difficult to understand. We had a reservation for 3 young girls in a two-bed room. This was their first visit to New York City. When they arrived, the clerk attempted to deny them based on their ages, then they were ere denied access to the room because the hotel claimed that NYC fire safety regulations did not allow 3 guests to occupy the two beds in the room. One of the girls called the hotel several weeks prior to checking in to confirm the occupancy and was told 3 people was not an issue. I understand that hotels must follow fire and occupancy regulations. If that was truly the issue, then the hotel should have identified the problem when the reservation was made--not when the young girls arrived at the property. Instead, at approximately 8:00 p.m., they were turned away and left stranded in New York City with nowhere to stay. No reasonable alternative accommodation was provided, and they were left to figure out the situation themselves. They would not even allow them to remain in the hotel lobby while the girls attempted to find other accommodations. What makes this particularly disappointing is the hotel's claim of being a Christian-based organization. Regardless of the circumstances, I would expect an organization that promotes Christian values to demonstrate compassion, kindness, responsibility, and concern for the safety and well-being of 3 young girls who were suddenly left without a place to stay. Following a policy is one thing. How you treat people when enforcing that policy is another. As parents of one of the girls, we called the hotel. We were informed that a manager was on the way back in to the hotel, and to call back in 30-minutes. This was a lie. When we called back, the hotel manager was not there, but was informed we would receive a call back from the manager. As I am writing this review, we still have not received a call from the manager. If the reservation violated occupancy requirements, the hotel should have taken responsibility for its failure to catch the issue before arrival and helped these girls find a safe place to stay. Instead, they were left stranded at 8 p.m. in a city they had never visited before. This experience was frightening, unacceptable, and completely inconsistent with the level of compassion I would expect from an organization that identifies itself as Christian-based. If I could give this a negative star review, I would. Management to reconsider how situations like this are handled in the future and ensure that their policies are posted when booking the room.
