I actually like this Apple Store. The people that work there seem to be pretty knowledgeable and helpful. I've had a couple of associates that have gone over and above to help me find what I need/get the service I need. Their stock is pretty good and if they don't have what you need, it can be ordered and shipped directly to you in a matter of days (depending on APPLE's stock status). People complain that it's always crowded. It's the ONLY Apple Store location for 150 miles. Apple sells a pretty decent product and tends to be very popular. What I have to shake my head on is when people are bashing this store because the store can't or won't fix their product. If you've almost destroyed your product, you can't expect everything to be fixed. Miracles do happen, but they don't always happen at Apple. People have to own some part of the product's condition and they have also to own that this is the only store for 150 miles and they aren't the only one having issues with their product. read more

If I could give no stars I would. I made an apt, and I took my phone in due to overheating of the phone when charging or in use minimal use in cool environments. I needed help with something (software issue) with my iphone. The so called genius bar alleged genius had no clue. Someone training a sales clerk pulled me aside as I was leaving the store and showed me what to do to fix the issue. I am glad the issue was fixed but the genius bar person should have known what they were doing. I just got plain lucky an employee overheard what was going on and quietly helped me as I was leaving the store in frustration. It is also a giant PITA that system trades on their reputation that you will be willing to wait and wait in the store to get help when you want to buy something. This place needs to operate like a normal store. You walk in. If you have an apt to get something fixed you check in otherwise you look around and sales people help you rather than have a lot of employees stand around while you wait for a specific someone. They need to cross train people. This particular store is full of incompetent people. I try to use the one near where my mother lives (different state) where most of the people in the store are competent rather than this store where it is a serious crap shoot. First of all, I was beyond shocked to find an actual Apple Store in Mississippi. With that being said, this is one of the best Apple stores I have been to. There was zero wait and Taylor, who helped me, was exceptional. He was so friendly, polite, and knowledgeable. Basically everything you would expect from an Apple employee. I went in to see about getting a new case for my iPad and happened to have my MacBook with me. Taylor went above and beyond by total cleaning my MacBook for me. Granted it was in need of a cleaning, but it wasn't that bad. He even said to be almost 2 years old that it still looked to be in out of the box condition. I have an iPhone 4 and have been curious about the new 4s which came out several months ago. He did an excellent job at going over all the new features of the new phone with me. I'm only in Mississippi for the next 7 weeks, but if I need anything else from the Apple store while here, I wouldn't hesitate to return. Way to go Apple! Once you go Mac, you don't go back! Came in for an appointment for my phone and my attendant was completely disengaged the entire time. She kept leaving to assist someone who appeared to be a family member. I looked around the store numerous times to see that there were other free attendants who could have serviced her or even me because I would have rather had that than someone who was completely uninterested in my concerns. read more

They don't honor warranty claims and force you to buy their AppleCare to fix broken products. backstory: i purchased an iPad Pro because the unit I had for several years was going bad and I needed the memory capacity upgrade. I purchased my new pad in November. By December, the power button was not working and I brought it in for a repair. Correction, you have to schedule an appointment with their tech support. I get there and they tell me it was dropped and that is why the button broke. Not a manufacturing defect from china? No. It's your fault and to repair it will cost half the price for a new unit. Mind you, it's only been 5 weeks. they suggest AppleCare so that the replacement cost will be 1/10th. as I can't fight city hall, I capitulate and agree to their demands by buying AppleCare. No, they can't fix it that day. I'll have to come back. It's another service appointment. No, they can't replace it them, they will have to wait for the unit to arrive. when it arrives, the CSR says I don't need an appointment. lulz on me when I get there, I'm told I have to have an appointment. No, they're mistaken. And I give them my money and replace the unit. please note that for a company that is worth a trillion dollars, they force you to check in at the front of the store (there were ten customers at the bottleneck) unless you are buying stuff. I was really impressed. I had expected to be there for at least two hours but I walked in and was back out within about 15 minutes. The person greeted me at the door, asked me if I had an appointment, and then directed me to the person who would help me almost immediately. Everybody was friendly and helpful. I had an issue with my phone, the screen was not responding, and had expected to have to fight tooth and nail to get a replacement. They replaced the phone completely at no charge. The Apple genius technician that helped me out was fantastic. She was very personable, very professional, and very quick with the fix. It would've been nice when I got to the location if there were better location markers showing me where the store was in the Highland colony shopping complex. But then again, that's a minor hit on an overall excellent trip to the Apple Store. read more

I didn't have an appointment, but they got me right in at store opening. They have a three part process, the check in person at the door, the diagnostician and the technician. I went in today to buy ALL THE THINGS for my iPhone 13. I was ready to spend several hundred dollars for MagSafe charger, extra charging cords, USB-C power adapters, phone case, wallet, etc. The customer service was terrible and the guy who was assigned to help us had zero knowledge of Apple products. What should have taken 10 minutes ended up taking about 30 because we had to find and figure everything out alone. But when my mask was under my nose, some guy ran over at super hero speed to tell me I had to pull it up. They continually treat me like driving there & waiting around (even with an appointment) is all I have to do. I've been in other Apple stores around the country & they are so much better than this one. Some of the employees are knowledgeable & helpful. Such a waste of time ... Daughter home from college. Went to Apple store at Renaissance to get cracked screen replaced. Had to make 3 trips to this Apple store and they finally determined the iPhone would have a be sent in to Palo Alto, CA for further analysis. We were told it would take at least 2 weeks to get the phone back from Apple (for a cracked screen!) It was so ridiculous i almost thought we were on some show like Impractical Jokers. Unfortunately, the staff at Apple were just following the corporate mandates from the offices in Palo Alto. Their processes are completely non customer centric and simply pathetic. If I could give a zero, I most definitely would. The customer service at this location is the most atrocious and demeaning I've ever encountered. I have not went to this store, NOT ONE TIME, and received at least half decent service. I am forced to frequent this particular store because there is not another Apple store in the surrounding area. The customer service is not geared towards people of non European decent. This store does have a variety of ethnicities with the employees, but customer service is geared towards European customers. The employees faces turn upside down when a person of color enters the store. The greetings are different when acknowledging their customer. I pray that a corporate executive reads at least one of the reviews that I will be posting on today because this Apple store is in need of BASIC CUSTOMER SERVICE TRAINING! read more

Apple's corporate office should seriously review this store. This store is disorganized and the employees simply do not care. We got there at 1:30 and signed up for the appointment. The employee said we would be texted when we can meet with a tech. We never got a text. After waiting 2.5 hours, I go back and see what the issue is. I get in line to get to another line. Finally talk to a tech. He was friendly enough and showed me I still had my data. He is the reason for the second star . He told me I needed a new phone and guess what? A new line to the sales department. The sales person is the reason why I am writing this review. It was up sale with no end. He would talk me into one option then talk me out of it. This Apple is rotten. I went last week for a battery replacement, but was told none were available and that I'd have to schedule for this Saturday evening after they had been shipped and arrived. I came today at my appointment time and was told that because diagnostics hadn't been run last week, there was no battery available for me today. (Noone schedules an appointment a week later to make a future appointment, Apple... Own your mistake.) Today they weren't sure when a battery would be available. While that was the mistake of the rep last week, this week's rep gave me a return sticker to come back with some future date bearing the wrong name. Also, as additional CYA, she described a 3x1 mm abrasion on the left top of my phone as a deep gouge. (I saw her typing.) Additionally, two people by me while waiting were there for their 2nd and 3rd trips respectively for fixing problems not done right the first time. I'm increasingly skeptical Apple (or at least this store) will "do right" by its customers. Apple has made its money on brand identity (rather than computer durability, processor speed, etc.). We'll see how the next visit goes, but I'm starting to think there are too many worms in this Apple. read more

Horrible experience. I was greeting upon my first entrance to the store and everything went well and everybody was nice and all the good stuff, but upon returning a little later than beforehand I was "greeted" and shoved into a line and then told to stand in a specific spot and to not move. I might be young and all but I do not need to be treated like a child, especially in the professional environment that is upheld so well in Apple stores. And all this for what? Some person to tell me that I need to get there earlier or to make an appointment when there was no more than 10 total people in the store. Made a purchase for my office. Initially I went into the store to start the application and the guys were very helpful. After much traveling I almost forgot about the application and that my company had been approved. So I called and got the process started back and without having to even go into the store and sit and wait, Sergio called and took care of everything. Was serviced in a day. Once again, when faced with actually needing technical support the Ridgeland Mississippi store is a total failure. Needed files migrated from two older Macbooks to two new ones. My husband's was done correctly. Mine is a total flop. Now they want me to bring it in again to attempt the migration one more time - in the middle of the week, while I need to be working. So I had to reinstall all my Microsoft products and am only working off webmail because they didn't transfer any of my mail files. The common vernacular of the day often degrades a words true, or at least traditional meanings; i.e. the use of the work epic to describe breakfast, but the use of the word "genius" at this apple store is actually false advertising. read more

Very surprised by all the bad reviews. My phone got ran over by a car. Luckily it had a very expensive cover on it that saved it. Only thing that messed up was the front facing camera. When I brought my phone in I was greeted very nicely and told where to sign up to be seen. Although it was busy my wait time wasn't that long. They did a test on it then took it in to get fixed. After waiting about 30-40 minutes for them to fix it I came back and they actually worked on the back facing camera(only reason for 4 stars instead of 5). The guy apologized immensely and said he could take it back to fix it or if I didn't want to wait again that they would just give me a new phone. I took the new phone haha. With that said I thought everyone was kind and did their job efficiently. I will definitely come back to this Apple Store. read more
