This was my first time in an Apple Store actually purchasing a product. They greet you upon walking in and ask what you're looking for. They guide you to the right section and send a worker over to help you make decisions and walk you through the purchasing process. I was doing a phone trade in, hoping to get credit from my old iPhone 11 Pro in order to buy the iPhone 13. Because of one very minor scuff on the bottom right of my screen, it plummeted the value, which is ridiculous because they use these phones for PARTS, not resell the entire phone. Overall, the workers were nice and helpful, very informative! It's roomy in there and I had somewhere to go and wait while my phone transferred the data. read more

I am so disgusted by the service I received. As someone who works for Apple since 2017, I'm blown away by the treatment I received from a failed repair on parts in my phone. I have a iPhone 16 pro that can't receive calls, won't connect to Bluetooth and has issues connecting to WiFi. It's within warranty and I have Apple care. After they made my phone worst after the first repair I which I had to wait for the part, they tell me I have to wait for another part another 4-5 days, they don't have any warranty replacements in store and refuse to order one unless I wait the 4-5 and let them attempt to repair the phone again. I'm now almost two weeks without a phone and their best option for me to do a mail in express replacement charging me full price for my device 2k until I receive the replacement and send my non working device back before my funds are released. read more

I had a need that I wanted to fill quickly in the store, but decided that I didn't want to deal with what was likely to be an enormous hassle so I ordered online just to do pick up. Even that was much harder than it needed to be. I was sent to a table for pick up at people were doing several different things. This including talking about returns and discussing their options and in general, not picking their stuff up and leaving. This resulted in a confusing wait without clear directions for the several people who were in line to pick things up. Of course, if you wanted to actually shop in the store, they made you wait in line outside the store due to capacity limits. They managed to bring out the worst of both online shopping and retail shopping. I don't like shipping expensive electronics, but maybe that would've been the better option. read more

I purchased a iPhone 17 ProMax for my wife's birthday for 1,157 dollars (trade-in and military). After paying for the phone, a sales person factory reset her phone with her E-sim. Now we have a 1,200 dollar brick until Apple can reverify her account over the next several days. All we got was a "Sorry, nothing we can do". My family (wife, five year old son, and 10 month old daughter) and I went to the Apple Store to get my wife a new phone for her birthday. We met with a woman named Catherine (Apple Store employee) and she was very nice and helpful. She told us to come and pick up the phone in 30 minutes. We left and purchased a phone case and screen protector. We received our email that the phone was ready so we went back to the store. tell here enters Mike, he refused to let us work with Katherine again, but assured us he would take care of us. He then proceeded to factory reset her phone before transferring her Apple account. This deleted her E-sim. When trying to sign in to her Apple account it requires you use the old phone number to verify signing in. We tried to verify another way and were told we would have to wait several days for her account to be verified. When we asked the Apple Store to help resolve the issue they told us "sorry, there is nothing we can do." We are now left with a phone that cannot be used until Apple can verify her account. read more

I used to have such a great experience at this store but in the last few years, the store's focus appears to have changed. I have a six-year-old laptop and it's been plagued with issues (part of a class action suit). Apple at the national level did its best to make good on the product but chronic overheating has persisted. Parts are beginning to wear out. The repairs now exceed reason, and I was encouraged to ditch the computer and get a new one. Meanwhile, my fifteen-year-old laptop, which is no longer supported by Apple, still runs. I use that one when the newer/old computer visits the shop. I didn't understand at first that the focus shifted--selling new products and discouraging customers from fixing old products (five-year-olds fit this category). Now that I've accepted this branding change, I have an easier time with the cavalier attitudes of management and party vibe at the store. My takeaway is that Apple no longer backs its products. Best to find independent repair shops to fix the issues. Sad news but I finally accept it. read more

Exceptional Service - Provided/Rendered by a Lovely and Friendly Group up Apple Genius Staff. Staff are courteous, polite and patient and willing to answer all your questions. This was probably one of the "Friendliest" Apple Stores that I have ever visited. I'm not sure why folks are complaining. Store is busy, but they have plenty of staff available who are knowledgeable and more than capable of getting the flow moving. Everyone in the store seems happy and jolly. Thank you for getting me connecting with a sales associate expeditiously and helping me to obtain the appropriate discounts which I was entitled to. Overall a very pleasant experience. I'm impressed with how knowledgeable and pleasant the staff was. The experience overall was painless and very quick. A+ Looking forward to seeing you all again. The only reason I recommend this store is because it is the closest Apple Store to were I currently live, SC. I called the store prior to leaving my home state and spoke to a very rude representative at the store. I explained that I had placed and order the prior day but had not received my pick up confirmation and I needed to pick up my phone today due to a medical situation that would prevent me from being able to do so if I did not do it today. He huffed as if I was keeping him from a pressing Tik Tok emergency. He then asked if I could verify my order. After giving him my order number name and email address. He then told me me that if I did not have that email there was nothing I could do but wait to get the email before I could pick up my device. I humbled my myself and was very transparent with the medical emergency issue I was dealing with yet this person still was very short and just had an attitude of not caring. Thankfully the 'email was visible on Apples view and he then said I could pick up my device any time I wanted. I then had a friend drive me the hour and thirty minute drive from my home in S.C. in route I realized I had left my wallet in my other vehicle and I called the store once again explaining I was too far out to turn around at this point but I had a copy of my DL on my current iPhone. Once again the person on the phone had the air they were to busy to deal with my question and was short in say that's fine anything else, sir? However when I arrived had my QR code scanned and showed my ID I was then told I needed to have my physical DL. I again explained my situation and how far I traveled. The agent asked a supervisor Tania or something with a T if I needed my physical DL she very rudely said yes and when I tried to get her attention to explain my situation she walked away. I then just added the person with whom I traveled with to my account when I stated to the agent what I did the manager came over to help but not once did she ask the other person for their ID to verify they should be picking up my device and since my ID had to be physically with me not a digital copy as I had on my iPhone how could the be sure he should have picked up my device. Tough to review an Apple store since they are so similar, but this one ... located in a high-end mall in Charlotte ... was very nice. The personnel were the usual employees we've grown accustomed to meeting in an Apple store ... friendly, helpful, and very techy. On our visit we really had a simple need ... a charging cord for an Apple 13 ... and of course they had it and they had the correct one. Having the correct one is not always as easy as it sounds since Apple continues to change charging systems and cords, but we got what we needed. So from our point of view, we would not hesitate to return when in need of Apple services or products. read more

Do NOT come here. I had the worst experience of my life that I've ever had at an Apple Store. I went in to get my iPhone battery serviced and the ran all of the diagnostics and tests, everything passed. I signed their waiver, they took my phone to the back where they do repairs, told me it would be a hour. 30 minutes later, the tech from the back comes over to talk to me and says "I don't know how to tell you this, but your phone caught on fire, it's gone." The worst part is that the customer service here is absolutely terrible. The manager came over and didn't even know the details of what was going on because the tech didn't want to tell him the full story and there was a lack of compassion. They didn't do much to help me at all to ensure I was walking out with a phone that day. So, I had to drop $700 on a brand new phone to walk out with something functioning. This was considered a safety incident and they didn't give me a case number or anything. I called apple care later that day and they were shocked at the situation. They told me it's the stores fault (South Park) and that they should have offered a discount off the new phone. They told me to escalate it to Apple Corporate. Thankfully, I backed my phone up beforehand. But, on top of having a panic attack when he told me this, by far it was the worst possible day for me. I will never come back here again. read more

Bobby Lo, Marissa and Daniel are quite literally the BEST technically specialists in my opinion. I had a impossible issue with my phone and they spent their time making sure everything was perfectly done and fixed to the best of their ability. Big kudos to Marissa who literally stay dedicated throughout this whole process! I've always had a great experience at Apple. I've never waited more than a couple of minutes for service, even when the store is packed. Team members are generally professional. Store is clean and bright. Would've been cool to see an atrium in the rear like I've seen at other stores but I can only assume that space limited. My last review for the Apple Store at SouthPark was less than stellar but over the last couple of visits, I've have some great experiences. In the last two visits, I've purchased a MacBook Air, and Apple Watch. With both visits, I found the associates to be very helpful, knowledgeable and professional. When I went to purchase a replacement MacBook, I wanted to get another MacBook Pro but the sales associate explained that based on how I use my computer, it made more sense to get a MacBook Air which is dramatically less expensive and does everything I need. My next purchase was to replace my old Apple Watch and after speaking with a different sales associate on a different visit, they recommended the Apple Watch Ultra because I do a lot of outdoor activities and the battery life is 3 times that if the regular Apple Watch. I am very pleased with both of my purchases and I think that Apple has turned things around at this location. I highly recommend this location and will be a repeat customer going forward. read more

Online order pick up order was easy to make, complete with a choice of appointment times to pick up. 24 hours later, time for the pick up, no order ready email. After the pickup window, called support and we went through a whole wait time while he called the store. He comes back and says that the store informed him they're finishing order and we should get an email in 30 minutes or so. 2 hrs later, still no email and we're at the store. First, one of the checkin folks halfway listened to why were there and send us to the phone table. I clearly said we were there to pickup, to which he asked if we were picking up a phone. Told him yes so he tells us to wait at the phone table. Standing there, O just don't think that's right, do I ask another check in person who tells us that we're supposed to go to the back left corner area. Pick up area tells us they don't even see our order and the manager, Emily, turns on dead eyes and a monotone voice to repeat this over and over: We don't have any contact with support. You have to wait for the email. It's still in process. It's usually a billing issue. It's usually a billing issue. We can't see the order until it's done processing. Our payment has been processed. It's not a billing issue, it's a customer service issue from a multibillion dollar company. I want to ditch every Apple device I have, yes, over this very poor setup. Unreal. read more

Great quality devices love my iPhone and love the quality of my studio buds plus but hate the fact that I've literally have gone through 10 pairs because the earbuds aren't made to be kept up with Apple. You need to do something about this. It's a big problem. I'm starting to get tired of all the money I waste. I will get it back if you do not change this. there is a way for you to put a permanent tracker on these earbuds your Apple. either charge less or make them better. This store has always had consistent excellent service. The model of the employee movement ensures you are helped with whatever you need from the beginning of your customer experience. They have a huge store at this location and always have many employees working at one time to ensure every customer's needs are met. The people working in this store are called "Genius's" and project the positive model of employing genius's and that people that use Apple products are genius's. This company wants people to find the genius within themselves and I love that company model. The Genius Bar here is for helping people with any tech issues or product issues you may have. Everytime I have had to come in they help me swiftly and make it easy. I love coming here and buying what I need and then always being able to come back if I have questions or any hiccups. Everyone around me had friendly techs. I got Grumpy in a mask. I had an appt for a new battery. I wasn't greeted or given a name of who was helping me. I was told they couldn't help me today. It was 4 hours before closing. I had driven 45 min out of my way to get this done. Don't offer an appt knowing what needs to be done if you can't provide the service. I was beyond irritated, especially after seeing how nice the other people waiting were being treated. read more

Do you always update your iPhone to the new iOS? They seem to come around so quickly after the major upgrades. You get patches and fixes. There are always unknown issues that need to be fixed. Digital is cool but even Apple can't create a perfect world. I have the X model & have been using an Apple authorized lightning cable going on 2 years. Tuesday, it decided it did not like my phone and flashed a warning screen: this is not an authorized accessory. I tried to reboot the phone but it would not. The screen was frozen. I was in a panic, I realized how much info, data, critical apps I had on my device and now I had no access. To make it worse, I was enroute to an evening out and was using my GPS for maps. Ooops, not anymore. To take it even a step further, it was sending an SOS signal to my Son and calling 911. There was nothing I could do. Fortunately, I have a hardline phone and called my Son to let him know what was up. He was in a panic. Then I called 3 different 911 services which is what the phone does when you are roaming. I called Apple Help Line. The CSR tried to walk me through how to hard reboot, to no avail. This was Tuesday evening and she said the soonest I could get an appointment at an Apple store was Thursday afternoon. She also said, you can try a Best Buy store since they are now authorized dealers and have on-site device support. The soonest appointment was Thursday evening. I ended up going to the SouthPark store at 1030a before they opened at 11am. I was able to get scheduled at the Genius Bar by 1115a. The Tech, a young man named Zakk was great. He removed the battery, which reset after power up and then did a full diagnostic. He said there was nothing wrong with the phone but after inspecting the charge cord, noticed there were some heat score marks on the metal connectors. He didn't charge me and said the diagnostics was all clear for any other issues. My conclusion: have a hard line phone. Have a back-up plan to access all your data from an alternate device. Be aware and be prepared for total digital shutdown. It's scary but real, learn from my terrible experience. read more

My 7 year old son and I popped into this place to kill some time while my wife and daughter did some clothes shopping. My son had a great time playing Angry Birds on one of the desktop PCs... and on our way out, we stopped to admire the Apple Vision Pro. Ended up booking a 3PM appointment to get a demo, but then subsequently learned that they will only do the demo for people ages 13 and up. My son was very, very disappointed that he couldn't give of he Vision Pro a try. On the way out, he even assured me that he would not break it. They said that this type of damage is not cover in their list. I asked what criterium is consider in their policy and the answer was we can't no display that to the public. It might seem strange to review an Apple store, because when you've been to one, you've pretty much been to them all. The store at South Park is large, larger than some of the other stores in the area. They have had supply chain issues apparently and I did have a difficult time trying to find product. On a good note the staff is always really helpful and knowledgeable as you might expect from Apple. Don't make a special trip to come to this particular Apple store, as there is not much difference compared to the others. If this store is convenient for you, it's worth stopping in. I will say, on a general note, that it has been much more difficult to browse the accessories at Apple stores of late. read more

When I approached this location, on Saturday morning it was busy, people where literally every where, I wanted to turn around and run to my car but immediately a young woman made eye contact with me and asked if I needed help. After advising her that I needed help desperately....(out of town phone becomes disabled) She inquires about my problem, and started trying to diagnose the issue right away. She found my issue needed to be escalated to an Apple "Genius" she makes me an appointment and within 20 minutes the Apple "Genius" had diagnosed and began fixing the issue. Apple has no faith in their own products and you are just a dollar sign to them. Last year, I bought a 2023 MacBook Pro M2 in hopes of having a powerful laptop for utility during the school year. Both the entire laptop and the trackpad stopped working one day out of nowhere. Upon realizing that my sole way to do school work has decided to self-destruct, I decided to take my Mac into the apple store at SouthPark Mall in Charlotte, NC. Because of apple's great reputation in the past about "making things right" and helping out people when they have a defective product, I was rather hopeful about the prospect of my machine being back up and running in the near future. I can assure you though, Apple is no longer the company that they once prided themselves on being. Upon entering the store (of which I had an appointment) I waited for a considerable amount of time past my appointment date to be helped by a gentlemen who seemed to have very little interest in actually helping me to resolve my problem. After explaining the issue, the employee took the laptop to the back for only a handful of minutes and said, "Sorry, it doesn't look like there is anything we can do to fix it." The employee told me that he turned it on, realized the keyboard and mouse weren't working as I thought, and claimed that he thought it was some sort of software issue that they couldn't fix. A little distraught, I asked if there was anything else in the machine that could be causing the issue relating to the hardware. I knew that this was not a software issue, but I was treated as an ignorant customer who was outside of his league when it came to tech knowledge. The employee went to the back to try something else and stated that he unplugged some of the cables and plugged them back in... and that did not fix the issue either. When the employee returned after doing this, he told me that they could fix the problem, but it was going to cost around $750 because my machine was just barely out of warranty. He stated, that they could not just replace the keyboard and mouse, but rather they would have to replace the entire "top unit" because of the design... I asked the employee if there was any leeway on getting this repair under warranty due to it being of no fault of my own, the employee agreed, and we both came to the conclusion that this was some sort of "unicorn" incident where the hardware either had a fault from the beginning or had gone out prematurely. If you ask me, I find it awfully convenient that my machine fails in a catastrophic way 2 months out of the standard warranty that apple offers without any damage being done to it by me... Now, my frustration with this situation begins when I state to the employee that I am in college and I cannot pull together the funds to pay for such an expensive repair... and that i bought a MacBook in the first place because I always thought that they were the type of laptop to last years without any issues. I was certainly mistaken. When I told the employee this, another older gentlemen employee with a apple activity ring hat came by (He heard me just state that I cannot afford the repair) and said, "Take this guy (he did not use my name even though I just told him it and shook his hand) over there to the new MacBook airs so he can check out how fast they are!" I told the man, "That does not fix the issue of me not being able to pay that much and school starting in two weeks." The employee just shrugged his shoulders like he didn't care and walked off. This would be far more expensive than the repair itself and is not something I am capable to pay for. You are nothing but a commission check for these employees. They do not treat you like you are a human being and all they want to do is upsell, upsell, upsell, to line their pockets rather than standing behind their own product. I was treated like I was a bother the entire time and never felt like anyone genuinely cared about the fact that I bought a one of their products, for the sole purpose of schoolwork and their faulty design broke prematurely... or rather it broke exactly when they wanted it to so they could sell me a another one and take more money out of the pocket of a broke college student. I still just want a repair in goodwill for a product that they claim to be quality. Please do not buy from Apple SouthPark if you want to be treated like human being and not a vulnerable person they can cash a commission check from. read more

This is a very small Apple store, compared to others I've seen. Since it has the same demand, the place is ALWAYS packed and especially now when people are looking for Siri and their iPhone 4S. iPods, iPhones, iPads, MacBooks and MacBook pros abound and people are touching and playing and testing and generally having fun with these devices. Are they buying? I have no idea. But the place is hoppin' busy. If you're planning to get one of the Geniuses to look at your device, you will really want to make an appointment. Bonus: There are some super comfy seats outside (as there are in most of the mall) but these are in range of the Apple wi-fi which I think is speedier than the mall wi-fi. read more

It's going to be overcrowded, the courses will be hard to hear because everyone is being loud around you and the service will fluctuate because it's a bunch of human beings who are the subject matter experts to the device that runs a lot of people's lives lol. Okay, now that the dark comments are out of the way. I enjoy Southpark Apple Store. For the most part, the team is kind. When you set appointments, they follow through even if it means disengaging from someone inquiring about a product to help you because you invested time and they understand that they need to reciprocate. Do understand that if you require maintenance to a computer, the response time may fluctate to if you need help that traditionally takes 5-7 days for services, expect 7-10 days. Have a backup plan at home and backup all of your data regularly because the maintenance piece is the only major friction point you risk with going to this store. Overall, it's a good experience. Just be ready to do with the madhouse that is an apple store and long-lead times for receiving broken equipment. read more

I recently dealt with a salesperson whose answers to my questions were so vague, unhelpful and rude that it almost seemed like he was trying to make me feel stupid for asking. And the hot second I expressed frustration, he got mad at me and suggested I should deal with someone else. At this point I'm done with apple. I'm also down with this location. I brought my computer in about 10 days ago because it would not turn on despite me charging it. I went to this location which has a ridiculous amount of people in it. They could not fix my computer in house, so they had to send it out for $500. I bought the computer 3 years ago so it was not in warranty. The replace the motherboard. A week later my password will not be accepted. So I reset it twice. Nothing. Called apple support who were extremely UNhelpful. The lady says I have to go back to this location and I do not need an appt. She repeats that statement twice. Now I'm here with my 20 month old and they say it's a 40 min wait. I have to pick my daughter up from school in an hour. The salesperson in front looking at me with a blank stare that only a true idiot could possess. Now I sit and wait as my child has a melt down and I anxiously pray they call me before I have to leave to get my daughter from school. Listen. It's Apple....and it's located in a busy shopping Mall of South Park....it's going to be nuts....period. That said: They still do a really good job at getting you in an out as quickly and efficiently as possible. The Key? Know before you go. Know what you want, how much, and somewhat of how the device works. I walked in the week after Christmas knowing which Apple Watch I wanted. I even switched my AT&T plan BEFORE (like a full day before) even buying the Apple Watch because I knew I had to have a compatible plan for the Watch. It's like walking into a car dealership with the check for a specific car in hand so you avoid waits and hassle... Anyway, I walked in, walked through the ZOO of people, and bee lined it for the Watch table. Found a friendly face and told him what I was there for. He put my name on a list, told me ETA 10 minutes and said to stand near the Watch table. Did just that and within 5 minutes I was being helped. The whole purchase took literally 3 minutes. They then proceeded to show me where to go to have the watch set up with my iPhone. I waited 20 minutes for someone to help me but I thought "how hard could it be?" Pulled my phone out, unwrapped the Watch, paired the two in less than 5 minutes. The guy doing the set up table came over and apologized for the wait and I had told him no worries ...I did it myself ..."can I go now?" He fist bumped me and said a big Thank You. (He was dealing with a lot of less tech savvy people and it was him against all of them...) So I give them huge kudos for keeping smiles on their face and for being helpful. I just wish the store was in a stand alone building so you're not fighting the mall crowds!! read more

We were having an issue regarding Apple IDs on multiple devices. We tried to book an appointment with the Genius Bar at South Park, but we could not get past the online questionnaire to set up an actual appointment. We walked in, expecting a long line and wait, but a team member named Christian helped us right away. He sorted out our issue in 10 minutes. That would've taken multiple hours online via chat or email or telephone calls. He provided fantastic service and he never rushed us and made sure we were all set before we left. Well, mixed feeling here. I had to take a star away because I had an appointment and they still made me wait quite a while and it's almost the holidays, so it was a madhouse, but then once I got my Genius, she was SO good and prompt and helpful that I added a star back again. It's not as big as some of the Apple stores like in NY or LA, but it's got everything you need and they do repairs, set ups, sales etc. My advice is to make your appointment online if you need to get service though and plan to wait a bit. Of course the store is well designed, clean lines, Apple branded all the way. read more
