I have an old MacBook Pro laptop with a battery that was fast depleting, and a fan blower that was in dire need of cleaning. Though I thought it might be time to buy a new computer altogether, decided to put it off for another year or so (since Apple store hours and services were limited at this time). Instead, I just bought a new compatible battery (thru Amazon) that could be replaced by Apple, or an Apple-authorized repair shop. After googling some reviews online, decided to call this repair shop. I was able to speak with Nick right away, and he made the whole process seem so easy and hassle-free...and said that they can usually do it within the same day. He also gave me a quote for the repairs. Not only friendly, but very helpful! Although I happened to visit the shop on a busy Wednesday afternoon, Nick managed to get my laptop battery replaced and the fan blower (?) cleaned within a few hours. He was even willing to work past their store hours to get it completed if necessary! Whew...I was SO relieved to hear that, as I would have hated to leave my personal laptop with them overnight. Not only was this process hassle-free and expedient, it costed under 100 bucks!! By now, I've tested my new battery strength, and it has improved tremendously. Also, the fan blower isn't as loud (almost scary). So overall, am very satisfied with the service and repairs...and I would highly recommend this place for anyone with any PC issues! read more

I am definitely not happy with the service I received by PC Paramedic. They replaced my defective motherboard with a much older motherboard. I also feel they over-charged me by about $100 for the motherboard and then overcharged me another $200 for labor. When I told them I was not happy with the motherboard they installed, they would not take it back and refund my money. Be very careful when dealing with a company like this. My advice is to simply find a company that will work with you, allow returns, and do the job for a reasonable price. read more

I've gotten a few repairs with them -- they're my go to, and they've proven themselves to be trustworthy and skilled. I had a concern on my last repair and the Mint Hill store's Mike worked so hard to address it. He took care of my computer and was really nice to me. Before I checked these folks out, I took my laptop to Best Buy's Geek Squad. Some of the keys in my PC weren't working, so I figured they could just replace the keyboard. They informed me that they'd have to send it to their warehouse, but they'd have it back to me in 2-3 weeks. Fine. I come back 2 weeks later and as it turns out, their warehouse said the part I needed was too old to be fixed. Whaaaa? But the one good thing their staff did was recommend PC Paramedic. I headed over that same day and met with Jason. (Or is it Jake? Either way, his name begins with a J.) I told him the problem, he quickly troubleshooted and agreed to have the computer back to me as soon as he got the part it needed. As promised, the laptop was ready to go in 3 days. He called me throughout the day of delivery to consistently update me on the status of his progress, and in addition to fixing the keyboard, they also removed some pesky malware I had floating around. I really really appreciated it! The price was fair (cheaper than Best Buy), the service was great, and I got what I needed quickly. If I have any other issues, I'm headed to them first. read more

This place was great. I needed the wireless card in my laptop replaced due to the factory model having a ton of known issues. Lenovo support told me they'd replace it but it would take 6-8 weeks, and all the other places I called around the area quoted me at least 2 days minimum. Importantly, I had already ordered the replacement wireless card, so shipping time wasn't an issue. I just needed someone to install it. I know a decent amount about computers, but I've never installed hardware into a pre-built laptop before and didn't trust myself to not screw it up. Fortunately, I called PC Paramedic. He gave me a quick, accurate estimate on the phone (lower than or on par with the other places I called) and told me he would try to get it fixed same-day, but was honest and said that he couldn't guarantee it would be ready today based on how complicated it ended up being. Drop off was quick and easy, and to my surprise, he called me back after like 2-3 hours to come pick it up as he was already finished. My connectivity issues have resolved, but it was really clear that had there been another problem (like if I had bought an incompatible wireless card, the card wasn't actually the problem, etc.), he would have been happy to diagnose and fix it. He was honest, friendly, and knowledgeable. If I ever have another computer issue I can't fix myself, I will 100% bring it back here. read more

I highly recommend PC Paramedic. They have 2 locations - Pineville and Mint Hill and both gave me excellent service. I had a really long and large problem with my PC and they were very helpful in helping me get my problem resolved. I highly recommend PC Paramedics!! Part of my laptop screen had popped out of the case. Never in need of computer repairs before, I turned to Google and PC Paramedics came up! I called and explained the issue and was told I could stop in and they would check it out, no appointment needed! After explaining to me what the issue was, I was quoted a price to have it fixed. Since my friend, who had borrowed my computer and insisted on paying for the repairs (even though the damage had nothing to do with anything she had done) I explained I wanted to discuss it with her, before I went ahead with the repairs. He very easily could have left my computer the way it was and sent me on my way, but instead, he took the time to put the screen back into the case and showed me how to open it to prevent breaking the screen. He refused any payment! Super customer service! So friendly!! Very helpful and knowledgeable! Awesome experience! Again, I HIGHLY recommend PC Paramedic!!!
