One of the largest Apple Stores in the world in Covent Garden, London which is an awesome part of the city offers something any other Apple Store doesn't be it London Regent Street or NYC's Fifth Avenue branch, but it offers the ability to be busy yet still not affect the overall experience. Being over three floors with an awesome glass lift which looks like it was something out of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, the third floor acts as a Genius Bar floor: it was probably the first time ever I didn't have to wait long and was even seen before my appointment time, getting an appointment here was a doddle with nearly a full day of appointments the day before, and most of the day on the morning: compared to back home in Manchester this was amazing. The middle floor offers accessories and a cool working space where you can sit relax and charge your device, with a Today at Apple section with a huge big screen and seating on the lower floor where you can also see the latest Apple tech, also being surrounded by cushioned seating and artificial trees and staff who not only seem friendly but they know their tech as well! My favourite Apple Store not just in the UK but worldwide and that deserves nothing other than an upgrade to five-stars. This is only the second store to ever deserve that rating, alongside Hugo Boss in Manchester.

Looks and feels better than most of the Apple store in the United States! This location in London is very big with a lot of relaxing seating and trying Apple products tables. It offer classes and demonstrations at the lower level center of the store with a big screen and many chairs. Yes! This location is a multi levels Apple Store! The 2nd floor is also very comfortable and has many chairs for the customers set down and relax! The atmosphere was very good. I love the feels and relaxation in this store. However, as the size of this huge Apple Store, they don't offers restroom for the customers use is little bit disappointing!

This Apple store is pretty cool on the inside. They did a great job maintaining the original architecture while adding modern bits like a spiral glass staircase. It's also different in that it doesn't have the typical facade of most Apple stores (a wide all-glass front revealing rows of goods and swarms of people beneath a giant Apple logo). That said, the interior was different, too; said swarms of people were 404: not found. On one hand, it was nice to not be in a chaotic Apple store for once. On the other hand, it was actually kind of strange. While I never thought I'd miss it, the hubbub and commotion is iconic at this point. I equate their stores with feeling like I'm on a jammed train car. Although the store was pretty much empty, we were left to wander to ourselves without anyone asking how we are or if we need help with anything. Once we did ask for help, service was poor. It's usually nice to browse unbothered, but it doesn't fit the typical Apple experience. The quantity of goods pales in comparison to other stores, and the people were not very friendly.

Even as a busy location, they seem to have a good system to get customers in and out, including if you need assistance from a customer service rep. I came to this location after seeing the long queue at the Oxford Street location. They also offer free courses in stores and seem to keep all sorts of free programming going on, even cool courses for children. Customer service is great. I like this location and they seem to have shorter waits than the Oxford Street location.

I didn't think it could get any nicer than the Regent St branch, but it can! This branch has all of what you would expect at any Apple store with the try before you buy displays, genius bar etc. Additionally, there's a new 'Briefing Room' on level three, which is a private area geared toward business users. The building itself is lovely. Internally, bricked walls are exposed, with glass, Perspex and wood used throughout. There are three levels, with toilets in the basement. This is my favourite Apple Store. Although it's pretty large, and was very crowded on the opening day, the atmosphere felt more intimate.

In comparison to the (now being renovated) Regents St branch this is a breathe of fresh air. It's huge, but most of all it's in a prime location that still keep it's distinctively airy, light and spacious. Bang on brand. Also the staff are really nice too. Again to be expected. I also went to an event recently. Saw and met Idris Elba! After he had completed an album #MurdahLovesJohn based on his great character Luther. Good album too! Thanks to Apple music for the event. I will be on the look out for more!

This place feels like a never ending Mecca of all things Mac but then the very obvious moment kicks in and you realise that this is because you are in a Mac store. The neutral tables and staff that seem down-to-earth and unassuming in their sales approach will walk you around, click and flick on a thousand things and 10 minutes later you realise your credit card is maxed to its limit and you have something pretty in your hands. This is just the ground floor. Take yourself to the second floor and it's a slightly more sombre affair. It houses the genius bar which feels like a hospital waiting room. People are quiet as well as anxious, wondering what is wrong with their ipad or macbook. There is also the look of shame that comes from those who did the unmentionable to their electronica...yes there are people who abused the computer. Almost like a confession some will admit they spilled wine on the keyboard or others try to lie but the genius bar staff always know. The booking system is insane but once you get seen all becomes clear. Usually they take your laptops and ipads away but once returned they stop doing crazy things. I cannot advise having apple care enough as the shock factor from not as well as the cost to the pocket is not worth thinking about. I have found the staff here always helpful, friendly and proactive. There is also another useful thing about Apple Stores and that is if you are in town you need quick internet access such as needing to google something urgently or a quick email send because your phone has died this is the place to come.

When I met up with a good friend, who wanted to go to one of the two Apple stores in London, I immediately suggested walking a bit further from Piccadilly to go to the one in Covent Garden. This store has several advantages to the store on Regent Street: first, it is larger - giving you enough room to wander around inside the store and try out the various devices on display. Second, it is not on a busy road, meaning you don't feel rushed or boxed in to the store. Finally the interior design, though undoubtedly Apple, has enough character to leave an impression (please see pictures to confirm!). Or course you will also find the Apple geniuses just as friendly here as at the Regent Street Apple store, and the devices on display will be the same. But the setting of the store and its interior decor means that if you removed the devices and told me the store was a luxury bar or hotel, I'd believe you! If you are ever contemplating visiting *an* Apple store, I recommend this one over the one on Regent Street.

We went in on the opening day and was cheered as we entered the shop which was novel, we were greeted straight away by a helpful assistant. As u can imagine the shop was heaving but a good atmosphere. We bought the iPad and was taken up stairs to be shown the ropes. But the guy helping us didn't really know anymore than me, this put a bit of a downer on our experience. Yet the store is amazing and a must see for any apple nut read more

Friendly staff but they didn't know essential info about iPad 1 and how to transfer stuff to the new iPad they were setting up. Several errors in knowledge despite three members of staff being consulted. Came home and started again For all those out there getting a new ipad: back up OLD ipad through icloud. Then when you first switch on new ipad do a 'restore from icloud'. This is quick and includes apps and music. read more

I am writing to complain about the costumer council in apple store today which has upset me. I came today on the 5th May to the apple store in covent garden. Im sorry to say I was not pleased with the costumer service. When I entered the store there was five workers who was free so I asked for help and no one wanted to help they kept skipping me, which was rude of them when they have to show the costumer care. read more

I've always advocated for apple amd I think their products are generally great compared to other brands. Unfortunately, someone has hired some completely incompetent people at the Covent Garden Genius Bar. I needed to exchange my charger and it is covered by my warranty. I was 5 min late to the appointment - my fault, but sometimes they make me wait for 40min to be seen when I'm on time so no big deal right? A really rude guy basiaclly told me to get in line and look for another appointment. Then I spoke to someone else, and although she wasn't rude she was completely unabel to think outside her own little idea of what her job was, and not realize that it was a short appointment and that their behaviour completely ruins the image of apple. Their next appontment was at 3pm. This is completely unacceptable behaviour for 'customer service' and when they start hiring people who can't do their job but can only click on their computer screens - apple has a problem. read more

Consistently unhelpful. I went for an issue with my MacBook and was looking at a repair of £200+ I then went to the Stratford store and was told that it was clear the damage was not accidental an was due to a fault and my laptop was repaired for free. I then went again simply out of convenience and experienced a wait time of over 45 minutes despite being told to remain in the store as they were apparently ready to see me. My issue once again remains unresolved, I will be visiting a more helpful store. read more

Our ipad wouldn't charge so we took the charger and the power cord to this store and the staff went out of their way to test both of them for us. Turned out the charger had gone bad. We saw a pack of several European type chargers that would work in several countries but rather than try and pressure us to buy it the nice young man who was helping us said we didn't need it we only need a much cheaper replacement part. He was so honest we decided to buy the power pack anyway. If you are ever in London and need help with any Apple product this is the place to go. read more

A huge Apple store! One of the biggest in the country! It has three floors! The ground floor has all the main products. The 1st floor has Apple's Genius Bar and their workshops and on the 2nd floor they have all the 3rd party accessories for their products. They also have an amazing glass staircase too! read more

I took my 4 year old MacBook in for rePair.I got great service and in the end they did not charge me a penny for rePlacing the keyboard,mouse and DVD drive!I was over the moon!what a fantastic experience!the staff is also amazing and very friendly!best service every! read more

I usually love to go to the Apple Store but this time my experience wasn't so great. I had to go for a screen repair after someone smashed it (sigh). Through the whole process i felt pretty confused and i do not like to be confused. All the indications i was given wether for where to go or what and where to wait were far from crystal clear and it felt like the staff wasn't so concerned about that. Usually they take care of you and they're nice and you feel at ease. This was not the case. My appointment was 20 minutes late, a first, and after i finally met with a genius at the genius bar I was told i had to come back 2h later to get my phone back which was not so convenient. And as a matter of fact, i got an email as soon as i got home (30min later), to tell me my phone was ready.. I mean, come on ! Well i know my review sounds awkward and all but i don't know, i used to have great experiences at Apple Stores back in Paris, and even though i like London better for every other thing, i was not satisfied by that. In the end, even the process of recovering my phone was weird and not so smooth. My screen was perfectly fixed though, as you would expect when you pay £79. read more

If you can possibly avoid going to the Apple Store and can do what you need to do online you should. The process here is absolute chaos. Having a reservation by no means guarantees you'll be seen quickly. It's difficult to find he relevant people to speak to. I appreciate hat Apple are probably trying to reinvent the retail experience - but just a heads up guys, you haven't nailed it. read more

My husband had a problem with the iphone 4. We ended up at the Genius bar and being helped by a guy called Loy. He was efficient, knew everything about the iphone and swapped the phone without any problem (the phone being within a year of warranty). He came back to check if it was all sorted etc. Great place and nice people. read more

I was having some problems with my iPhone battery draining very quickly so booked an appointment to get it looked at. I arrived early and had to wait a long time over my scheduled time to be seen. I appreciate that appointments can over run etc, but I was expecting to be seen on time. The guy I saw was helpful and told me my battery needed changing, they could do it within the hour and I was to come back then. I was happy with this and thought it would fix the problem. But when I got home with my iPhone, the battery problem remained. I booked another genius bar appointment and this is where my bad experience comes from. I had to wait around past my appointment time again, fine...but I was seen by a guy who seemed to not want to listen to me or help me. His name was Lee. I was scrolling down some of the previous reviews and see someone has mentioned him in their review saying 'I was helped by a man named Lee who had a terrible attitude and really did not seem like he had any desire to help me.'' I think this describes him very well. I was explaining how it was my second time here, the battery had been replaced and the problem remained, and he cut me off and lectured me about how people come in demanding new batteries expecting the problem to go away.... This made me feel frustrated because I wasn't demanding anything, I was just trying to tell him my situation, but he really did not want to listen. He was explaining how I needed to set up my iPhone as new and I was a bit confused about what he was saying so was just trying to clarify things. His attitude was really bad and he didn't seem to care or check that I'd understood what he was saying. He told me how i needed to delete apps like WhatsApp and Facebook. I told him how I know lots of people who have these apps and don't have my problem and that surely the iPhone is designed to have apps to use....again he cut me off and told me it was Apples advice and my choice to follow it.... He ended our meeting by saying 'okay then' and walked off... I was left feeling disappointed in the service, so I spoke to another staff member who was doing all the check ins. He was extremely helpful and friendly and explained everything so much better than Lee did. This guy gave me his card, his name was Timothee Liechti...he told me to come back if my phone was still experiencing problems after setting it up as new and he would look into it. The difference in service between these 2 staff members was polar opposites. I understand it was in the evening, it had been a long day, lots of people must complain, but I feel like I was being reasonable and Lee's customer service was not at all acceptable. read more

Visited store this morning to buy a connection to download photos from my camera to I- pad,found the staff most rude and unhelpful,I am 69 years old and not that sure on what I wanted,but your staff were not that interested,but flocked round anyone wanting an I- pad or phone,must be a better bonus for selling one of these read more

Ok, so here I am, over 50, and I own an ipad ! Yikes ! Apparently it's not illegal, however, sitting in the Genius Bar and being talked down to, that is a pretty frustrating experience. I actually had two geniuses shrugging their shoulders and scratching their heads, so I suppose that's something. Bottom line, they didn't know the answer, they barely understood the question and they were about as much good as a chocolate teapot ! The stools were pretty damned uncomfortable too; mostly all these geniuses could do is what techy geniuses have always been able to do, push the buttons faster, that's all.... Waste of my time. read more

Waited 20 minutes to be seen. Halfway through the helper went on to help another customer and never came back. Had to leave with standard factory settings and no idea how to get all my contacts, apps etc back. REALLY BAD SERVICE - don't invest in Apple. read more

Heavily staffed & thoroughly disorganised store with lengthy waits & no sense of customer care. Staff just 'hang around' directing you to lengthy queues. The goods are expensive & good - it's just such a trial trying to buy. Not worth the wait - a waste of time & space - there must be other retail outlets where you can get efficient, effective & relatively speedy service. Avoid like the plague! read more

I've only awarding one star because it is not possible to award no stars at all. Spent £400+ on an iPad Air less than a year ago. Screen and LCD broken, but these cretinous idiots cannot fix it on site and instead want to charge me almost £300 to exchange it. However, can't do that because I need to do back up - but I can't do a back up because I cannot unlock the screen lock because I can't see it!!! Fools at Apple say I have to first "take it to a data recovery company". Apples incompetence is equalled only by their arrogance and sky high unjustified pricing. What a bunch of con merchants. I will NEVER buy another Apple product as long as I live. read more

My Iphone started crashing since I updated the latest iOS. Went the first time to Apple covent Garden in August and I explained about the crashing, basically my phone is useless since then, do not let me pick up calls or do not let me call either or send text messages, whatsapp, etc, it opens the apps on its own like it is alive. Even booking an appointment I had to wait for a while, I explained to the guy what was happening and he only restored it, which I had done it before and then disappeared without checking if the phone was working correctly. I told one of his colleagues the iphone was not working better after that and he said I had to book an appointment again instead of calling his colleague. I booked an appointment again yesterday 22/10/17 and this time the service was even worse!. My appointment was at 16.30 and the IT guy came 15 minutes later, I explained again what was happening and also he read it from the previous report that I restored it, his colleague restored it and it definitively did not work. He could see the phone was crashing as he could not open the settings easily. He brought his laptop, plugged on my phone and disappeared until 17.25. He definitely forgot me and he came back because I told for the second time to one of his colleague he was gone for over 30 minutes. He apologised saying he was caught up. After that he finished to restore it and told me to set it up as new - as his colleague did previously - and then was gone again without checking my phone again. When I told his colleague he said the work was done and as expected my phone is still not working. The worse service ever, clearly they have not idea what they are doing. I left the apple at 6 so I spent 1 hour and a half to get my iphone restored for the 3rd time with not success. They know nothing about what they doing and instead they get upset! read more

Located in the Brunswick. It's a small-ish store, but it's as small as the staff are helpful and friendly (meaning they are quite so). They say that close at 6(or maybe 6:30?) PM, but unlike the Vodafone store 2 doors down (which holds the closing Time to the T), they are often open a bit later, and are willing to continue to talk to you after 6. It's quite nice. Their shown prices on the pay-as-you-go wall include the £10, so you know exactly how much you're getting into (unlike the Vodafone, which gives an initial price, but the customer must keep in mind that there is still another £10 to part with, after the initial cost--this news is located in the fine print). After having tried both services, the customer care in the 3 Store is quite nice (hence the friendly staff), while the Vodafone store's service is, in my experience, atrocious (one store gave me information, told me to come back the following week, then had a sign the said following week that said they were remodeling for 10 days...another just gave complete wrong information and refused to verify, even when challenged.) So while 3 might perhaps not have had such a high review without the negative experiences down, I say this to you: what is light, without darkness? Happiness, without despair to compare it with? Vodafone was my despair; 3 is happiness in this case. The end!

Dear lord. Dropped…read morein from the US (yes, yes, start your flaming) and needed to pick up a prepaid SIM for data only. Now, I am usually a very sweet traveler. I try to smile, and I don't expect other cultures to smile back. I speak carefully as I can, and I try very hard not to have communication issues. When I travel, I understand at my core that I am a stranger in a strange land. The weird one. I GET it. I am more inclined to think that any rudeness is due to me, or my misinterpretation of the culture, than another party. So... when I leave a conversation in another country wishing that the other party would accidentally shit themselves at work, I tend to think they REALLY WERE ruder than the average person. Enter, then, the girl that assisted me at this counter. As I've stated, I walked into O2 to acquire a prepaid SIM for a data plan. I'm pretty solid on smartphones - I know what bands the IEEE has dictated for WiFi use, I recognize the value of a world/unlocked phone, I know the difference between GSM and CDMA. So all I did was asked for a prepaid data SIM. The lady directed me to a monthly bundle that was CLOSE to as much data as I wanted. Looked good. I went to make a purchase, and that's where things got shitty. Yes, lady. Just because you've never heard of the OnePlus One doesn't mean it doesn't exist. You don't need to pull a face. Yes, lady. It's a micro SIM, and it is unlocked. Don't roll your eyes. "Will this plan attempt to bill me at the end of the month?" "This plan is a prepaid plan." "Thank you. I'm wondering though, because some cell carriers will attempt to bill you at the end of the month for the next month. Will this plan attempt to do that?" "This is not a contract plan." "Is that a yes or a no?" Look, cell carriers are shady. Just answer my fucking question. By now, I'm mildly irritated. And I'm keeping it COMPLETELY out of my voice. What's that, your SIM tool isn't working to remove the phone? "Do you guys have paper clips?" "This is the only SIM tool I have." "...I asked if you have paper clips, not another SIM tool." "This is the only SIM tool I have." Are you a goddamn robot? "Okay, just give me the SIM and I'll figure out a way to put it in the phone later." She gets the order rung up, and I remember one last thing. This is where http://prepaidwithdata.wikia.com/wiki/United_Kingdom comes into play. Take a look under "content lock." To summarize, most SIMs in the UK come with a content lock that may interfere with facebook, or IM apps (like groupme or something). Reading between the lines of the link, it looks like a whitelist (everything on the 'net blocked unless specifically not blocked. May not be the case, but it looks a lot like it). You must have a UK credit card to remove it yourself, otherwise you need to ask a representative. Now, my feeling was 'better safe than sorry.' It may be old information (3G era), but hey, I use google hangouts for EVERYTHING, and I gotta have it work, or the phone is useless to me in the UK, right? Aaaand this is where the communication broke down. I asked her to remove the 'whitelist.' That was my mistake. "What?" "You know - you guys have a whitelist you're using to block some websites. I've heard it can interfere with some IM apps." "I don't understand, you mean the content lock?" She's speaking louder now. Why is she speaking louder? "Oh, yes, that. That's what it's called." "YOU MEAN UNBLOCK THE OVER-18 SITES?" Loud as possible. The rest of the customers in the store turn to stare. Thanks, bitch. Now I look like a fantastic pervert. Was "yes, that" not enough? There are two reasons this is receiving two stars. The first is because I was dumb enough to use the term 'whitelist' instead of 'content lock.' I should have known a telecom representative was just a dumb kid with a retail job. The second is that maybe she wasn't a bitch. Maybe she was JUST THAT THICK as to not realize she was being rude. My first visit to The Carphone Warehouse was to a repair shop on St. Marylebone High Street, and they did not really care about my Motorola 301 flip-phone, registered to the Mercury One2One United Kingdom Network, which Ihave purchased from a Dixon's retail shop, in a box, near Hyde Park, late Twentieth Century. Subsequently, as the John Lewis Department Store nr Oxford Circus was not offering any meaningful choice in hand held mobile telephone, the Lady I trust to advise me on purchases chose the Carphone Warehouse nr Oxford Circus, Regent's Street corner. We purchased two Nokia 1100 mobile telephne hand sets in two boxes, registered to the Virgin Mobile Pay As You Go network. A few years later we purchased a Nokia 2720 fold-out handset from the Carphone Warehouse, Kengsington High Street, near the Our Lady of Victories Roman Catholic Church, and near the Commonweath Institute, now Design Museum, Holland Park. Again, servicing was not even attempted at The Carphone Warehouse, as it is difficult to enter into a Carphone Warehouse Shop and not come out with a new handset, instead of the old one being serviced. Service just does not happen, a person wanting service on a phone is somehow always at the back of the queu..I cant even spell it..The Carphone Warehouse Special Service Shop on the King's Road, Chelsea SW3, near the Moravian Church Grounds, where 'Christian, The Chelsea SW3 Lion' can be seen exercising in the green grounds on the Internet, iis now completely closed for good, metal shutters down, protecting the empty space which is used for nothing for now!! I had purchased AppleCare+ at the same time but yet have been given the run around for the last three weeks regarding my repair. They've advised that the part needed for the repair is out of stock, and that aside their repair quote came to £969.83. Surely Apple can offer me a brand-new replacement instead because I am covered by insurance right? Wrong. I'm expected to keep waiting on a repair while they wait for the part which could be months at this point (as well as being expected to pay £229 for the excess). Despite contacting Apple numerous times they have been unwilling to assist me further. What's worse is that Apple continues to sell MacBooks when they know they don't have the parts to repair them. This is extremely unethical. The staff at their Regent Street store dared to suggest I buy and return a MacBook every 14 days (no questions asked policy) until my repair has been completed. How does my Apple insurance help me here? It doesn't. And I am beyond outraged at this point. Just another company willingly taking advantage of their consumers without a care in the world.

It really sells it all. Now, I will admit that as a typical girl, I am probably a DIY imbecile, and yet the staff has always been very patient and helpful with me, which I will forever be grateful for. This is the perfect shop for all your electronic needs whether you are a tech expert or just desperately trying to fix a household object.

Maplin is a great little electrical store. The guys in here are always ready to help and must find it pretty amusing when I try and explain in nontechnical terms what I'm looking for like "oh you know that things that connects the little plug with the even smaller one" and they are like oh you mean the male/female adaptor.

I didn't have a great experience at the Covent Garden store. My wife's iPhone 4S, bought from Orange under contract, had a fault (sporadically turned itself off). After all the usual diagnostic stuff, resetting etc., Apple Support told me it was a hardware problem and should be swapped, so I opted to do it in-store at Covent Garden. The 'new' phone that I received in-store had a broken microphone (there are two, apparently. The 'other' microphone, which switches on when you are on speakerphone, was fine), so again I called Apple, we established it was a hardware problem, and arranged to swap it at Covent Garden again. Imagine my surprise when the second replacement phone also had a fault in this case, it had a greyed-out wifi switch and we couldn't turn wifi on. Again the problem didn't go with resetting and again, Apple concluded it was a hardware problem. I don't know how long this would have gone on ultimately, I decided to give up on Covent Garden and go for home delivery, and the last replacement phone appears to work fine. I wouldn't bother writing this here, but when I asked to make an official complaint, I wasn't particularly happy with the response I got. Initially, I was told to call the store manager. I said I didn't think this would help much, that the problem should go higher than the source. Then I asked what feedback I would get by making a complaint to Apple Support over the phone, whether I would be contacted or receive any sort of acknowledgement of my complaint. I was told I wouldn't, but that I could rest assured that the complaint would get through to the store manager. I don't really think that is good enough. I don't really believe anything will be done about it, and in fact, an embarrassed apology from Apple for the time I wasted and general inconvenience of resetting broken phone after broken phone wouldn't have gone amiss either. I feel I have given Apple a chance to acknowledge my experience and make amends, but they declined that chance. read more

I had an appointment with their so called 'Genius' who was more of an idiot. I had previously been extremely happy with the service provided by Apple and it was the main reason for buying an apple product. So I took my Macbook Pro as it had screen burns (Horizontal purple lines). I had this problem before and had my screen replaced at the Regent street store. However their so called Genius (Lee Williams) kept trying to convince me the that this was a heating issue and not really a burn since he couldn't see it for himself. After a while I gave up trying to speak to this unprofessional employee who kept making comments such as " I can't believe you don't understand this or that" and he could clearly see how upset I was at his behavior. I have never seen such poor customer service before from Apple before and was very unhappy and to make matters worse by the end of it he was asking me if I was happy with the solution he provided me? When I clearly said no he kept asking " What can I do to fix your problem"? You're the so called genius so why don't you try to figure that one out? I still have the screen burn issue with my Mac which hasn't been resolved and I am now unsure what to do? I have Apple care but it seems to me that its just a waste of money since Apple are not prepared to help you out. This is by far the worst store I have been to. If you're thinking of buying a Mac then don't because it is just not worth it and don't ever buy the Apple care as again its just a total waste of money. I hope Apple can respond to this and think about providing the service for which we have all payed for. read more

Seriously one of the worst times I've had trying to buy something in a shop. I just wanted to buy an ipad charger, in and out in 15mins at most but I found myself completely abandoned by three staff members succession who either passed me on or said they'd be back in a minute. 20mins later after hovering around in the hope to just pay for the item I already had in my hand, I put it down and left. Another aspect of the staff in this store is that they tend to make you feel like you are in their way. When trying to find anyone that was free to serve me I was told Just ask anyone in blue, please by a boy wearing blue and holding out his arm in my face to shut me up. It was just rude and pretentious in there. They need some tills for those who just want to pick up something and not make a half hour appointment. Needless to say I'm getting this product elsewhere and I will avoid Apple Stores if I can help it, it really left me feeling upset, embarrassed and a nuisance. Not all of us have a enough time to wait half an hour to have someone put something through a till or to be consistently ignored by staff. It needs better organisation, customer service does not seem a priority. read more

I had to go in to fix my IPad. I made an appointment online and went up to meet my apple genius! my genius told me it's just broken, nothing can be done. However! my appointment was at 6:10pm, looking around at the masses of people I expected a good 20minute wait .I was sat at a table around 5 past and then bang on ten past, I was shouted and a gent sat next to me, performed all the tests and then went off to do a final test. When he came back and told me it had just given up, he was very sympathetic and he explained all my options to get it replaced. I expected 2 things, one was long waiting times and the other was pressure seling. Neither of these things happened! apple lived up to its high standards as far as I'm concerned. read more

Coming inside the shop from Covent Garden the huge amount of space that greets you is stunning. In a part of London which must have to cost.benefit every square inch is impressive. I do voluntary work at the Tate Modern Gallery and the Apple Store would not look out of place displayed in the Turbine Hall. I also travel around in an electric wheelchair. To come across a store with ample room yo move around and have tables at a height that's friendly to the disabled is a joy. read more
