This Apple Store is located in a convenient area, right off Highway 280. Whenever I visit this store, it's always so busy! This is generally why I try to buy my Apple products with at other stores--I try to avoid the crowds. Now, I will say that I'm always approached relatively quickly when I enter the store, but then, it may be a wait to actually be helped with my issue. When I went to the Apple Store this past weekend, I was looking for iPods. My kids are too young for a cell phone, but the new generation iPods are practically phones. I also looked at the new Apple Watch. I have an Apple Watch already, but I'm considering upgrading. The lady who assisted me said she didn't think they had any iPods in the store, but Apple does still sell them. She went in the back to see if maybe there was a model she could show me, but there wasn't one. Even though they didn't have what I wanted, I appreciate the employee's willingness to try to assist me.

As soon as one walks through the door below the Apple logo - you know you are in the cool zone. This is a high traffic area - and high volume, meaning as soon as the doors open you hear the buzz from the crowd inside. Be sure to book an appointment - we were there for my husbands iwatch and were lucky to get a same day appointment for 5:10PM... in the middle of Summit area rush hour. 20 minutes later, we walked out with the issue addressed and a new watch on its way to my husband - and everything covered under the warranty. I chose to wait outside due to the crowded conditions and I did some shopping in the neighboring stores while I waited for my husband. There are several park benches outside for those so inclined. According to my husband, the staff were knowledgeable, competent and very user-friendly, so even the newbie feels comfortable. Highly recommend - just be patient...

I've come to apple at least a hundred times now and all of my experiences have been good. As soon as you walk in someone will greet you and tell you the wait time. The employees are highly trained and have never not known the answer to one of my questions. Since this is the only apple store in Alabama (besides Huntsville), it is always very crowded. Although someone greets you at the door, it can take up to an hour sometimes to get with an employee. But this is not a complaint since they have such a high amount of people come in, just something to know if your in a hurry.

My husband's thumb just lightly pressed on the home button and it cracked underneath his thumb and even got a glass shard in his thumb. We made an appointment at 4pm with the Apple Store; but we decided to walk in and see if we could make an appointment. They were able to see us within an hour. So glad we didn't have to wait until 4pm to get his phone looked at. Moglie helped and got us a new phone. She was amazing and cheerful and made our transition as easily as possible in getting a new phone and figuring out what to do. Barry, the guy who checked us out for the Beats wireless headphones, was really nice. He was extremely friendly and ensured that my husband's phone was set up before we left. Overall, all the people that we talked to were so nice and friendly and willing to help. Moglie and Barry deserve a pay raise. We are from out of town, and was thankful this Apple Store took very good care of us. :-)

They got to us pretty quickly. An hour wait for service. In their defense, the daughter could have made a reservation .

Ask the Community - Apple The Summit

Do I need an appointment to have my phone looked at for possible repair?

    Appointments are preferred

Is making an appointment necessary for purchasing iTunes gift cards at the Apple Store? I understand there is no additional surcharges when purchasing the gift cards at the Apple Store. Is this correct?

There is no need to make an appointment for that you can just see a sales person for assistance when you walk in, and no there is no additional charge

I came by the store today, the day after Christmas, to swap my wife's Apple Watch to a different color and size.

You may be waiting for a while depending on how busy they are, however, it works for me. Place your order, park, notify, wait. The in store experience isn't bad for those that want to go in. Typically lots of associates and you can see how the electronic work and look up close and personal.

I received a text from Best Buy stating there was an issue with one of my three large orders…read more Two of the orders included multiple TVs, mounts, hardware, and installation services. The third order included two refrigerators and a set of individually colored panels, totaling around 12 line items. When I logged into my account, there was no indication that anything was wrong with any of the orders. I chatted with support, but all they could provide were the scheduled delivery dates -- no real answers. I decided to leave it alone and checked again about a week later. Everything still showed as "good." Since I needed to reschedule the delivery dates anyway, I was able to reschedule the first two orders without issue. However, when trying to move the third order (the refrigerators), I found I could not reschedule it at all. I contacted support again. The first rep once again could only tell me the scheduled delivery dates -- no explanation. I requested a transfer to someone else. The second rep, when trying to move the fridge order, discovered the order had already been canceled, even though nothing in my account showed any sign of it being canceled. No email, no notice, nothing. The agent then had to manually cancel each individual line item from the order, which took over 20 minutes. (The system was running extremely slow -- for example, when I tried rescheduling, each time I clicked to change a month it took 25+ seconds to load.) After over an hour online: We successfully rescheduled two orders. One order (the refrigerators) was confirmed canceled -- but only because I intervened. Otherwise, I would have sat around waiting for expensive appliances I paid for that were never coming, with no communication or warning from Best Buy. Today, I went back into my account to double-check everything -- and now it's showing part of my orders scheduled for the correct new date, and other parts still stuck on the old, wrong date we just changed. Now I'm forced to go into the store to try to fix this in person -- and based on past experience, that's usually even worse. You typically get young kids who barely know the system, looking at you like you're crazy for expecting them to actually make an effort to fix anything. For a global company, this is a completely inadequate system. It's unacceptable that a customer has to dig, chase, escalate, and physically go to a store just to get basic information and support. Best Buy seriously needs to fix their customer communication, their system performance, and the attitude in their stores.

***BUYERS BEWARE!***This company offered a Groupon deal for $15 for a $30 value off of a repair. I…read morepurchased it on December 18th from Groupon and my Groupon expired on April 18, 2018. I purchased the Groupon to assist with my mother getting her broken iPad glass fixed. My mother has been calling this company for days now only to hear that the phone line was disconnected. She finally visited the actual location of the business only to see that the Gadget Geeks was closed (Google even has the business listed as "permanently closed"). She was extremely disappointed. Before I considered calling Groupon for a refund I reached out to Gadget Geeks via Facebook messenger. I expressed my frustration about the store's closing and having a Groupon voucher that I couldn't used. GG replied back saying "Hi Jemia, We are relocating and we will be closed until April 1st. You can always contact groupon and get a refund. We let them know over a month ago to suspend any sales of groupons related to us." I don't understand why you would have a Groupon deal available and you're closed for months?! And then suggesting that I should just get a refund is beyond frustrating. GG then asks me what I needed repaired and I told them. They said that they could meet me on HWY. 280, repair the item and return it in the same day. The cost, $75. --- While I appreciated the gesture to repair the iPad outside of the business, I was not happy with the price. I paid $15 for a $30 valued discount with Groupon. The cost of the repair was $89. I had checked their website before purchasing the Groupon and before they shut it down. If my Groupon had been honored the cost should have been $59 (plus tax). But whoever the rep was responding for GG clearly didn't understand the value of the Groupon ad and told me, "We are honoring the groupon without redeeming it. Technically with that deal you get $15 off after you pay $15 to groupon, not $30. Let me email my Rep and see if we can even still redeem them." WTH????? Completely baffled by the response I sent a screenshot of the actual ad that CLEARLY states "$30 Value for Glass Repair" (for $15). Their response, "Yes, I know. After you pay the $15 to groupon so you technically get $15 off." WHAT?! This business clearly doesn't understand how Groupon works. I told them that they were incorrect about the Groupon ad. What's the point of buying a $15 Groupon deal and I only get $15 off of my repair. There's NO savings! Then the GG rep told me, "I said that you will be returning the groupon and without even redeeming the groupon I was gonna give you $15 off. Have a good day." WOW. What kind of CUSTOMER SERVICE is this? So I guess you're just going to FORCE ME to get a refund on my Groupon deal instead of trying to make things rights. My final reply was, "The entire point of paying for the Groupon was to receive $30 off. You did not honor your Groupon deal. That is extremely discouraging and bad for business. You have a good day as well." Their response..."*thumbs up*" In good faith I purchased $15 Groupon valued at $30. Only for the business to be closed for the large majority of the 120 days that my voucher was good. And then I was basically told that they would NOT be honoring the deal that they promoted with Groupon. So. Disappointing. :/

I wish I could give them less than 1 star because I purchased a Groupon in November 2017 (that they…read moredid not honor) and left my phone there for a repair and they closed the business without notifying me or giving my phone back . Terrible place, don't patronize!!!!!
