Horrible service. Tow request was accepted by my insurance at 8:30 am and it would be approximately 45 mins. After over an hr tried contacting company multiple times no answer. Called my insurance and they told my insurance the driver would be there in 20 mins. Another hr plus passed I called and someone answered that was very rude told me they has very bad news that the driver was broken down and trying to fix the car. After asking could they provide an uber or something for being dishonest about the arrival time knowing the driver was broken down I was called a stupid B**** and was hung up on. read more

Drivers refused to give me his name but black male with braids and a beard extremely unprofessional and very aggressive. Already had my brother changing my tire when he pulled over on the freeway parking and blocking a lane. When we respectful denied his help he became very hostile yelling and cursing us out until we finished the tire and drove off, the employees is a reflection of the company if they choose to hire people like this. I got a flat tire and didn't have roadside assistance. Called Apple Towing at 8:30AM on a Wednesday and put in a request at 9AM after they took down all my information. Tow truck came within the hour at 9:50AM (Murphy, tow truck driver, was great) and towed me to the nearest tire repair shop (about 1 mile away). Very fair price in my opinion for the quality of service I got. $124 all in. Make sure to call the tire shop beforehand to make sure they have the tires needed for your car. It took about 5 hours before the vehicle was picked up but we were told ahead of time that there were other vehicles before us. So. Here's the low down. Was turning onto feeder rd and some #%%^ behind next decided maybe I wasn't moving fast enough and decided to speed around me and make a right turn almost clipping the front side of my truck. I turned the wheel to avoid this happening and got stuck off the side of the bridge thingy dingy. Of course loser boy kept moving and there I sat. Unable to get free I decided to call Geico and see if they could help me out with my roadside assistance. Of course they could!!! (That's for another review tho) they set me up with Apple Towing. It took about an hour and 15 minutes for them to arrive. The driver called me when he was 10 minutes out and advised he was in route. He arrived when he said he would and he was very friendly from the beginning. It took him a moment to look over everything and get an idea of what to do. Once he got that idea it was less than 10 minutes and I was back on the road. He was professional, funny, and I felt very comfortable allowing him control of my vehicle. He did not just leave me there once he got it free. He stuck around another 15 minutes or so and made sure there was no major damage to my under carriage that would hinder me from driving safely. I have had a tow before and I have to say they never did anything extra like that! I appreciated they way they saved the day as I am from San Antonio. It could have turned into a huge headache. So thank you so very much! And I mean this I'm the nicest way possible. Apple towing was contacted by my insurance to transport my car from my home to a service station for repairs. They were scheduled to pick up at 330pm on a Friday afternoon, to be at the place before they closed at 5. At 355 I called them and they said 330 means between 330 and 430 and they probably couldn't do it anyway because the place was closing. So I called my insurance company. They rescheduled them to pick up in the morning between 8am and 9am, to get my car to the place before they closed at noon. I left the house to go with my ride to the Rent-A-Car to pick up my rental. While there, Apple Towing calls--- they're at my house. Flabbergasted...I told him he is supposed to pick up the next morning because the place was closed. He says ok...hangs up. At 930 am the next day, when he didn't show up, I called the insurance company. Their dispatch said someone was on the way. At 1150 I break down and call again and by now I'm pissed. I told the insurance company to fire Apple and get a new company. I have been reassigned to a new tow company for Monday when I'll have to take time off work AGAIN to get this done. So I was told too go through this company by my insurance agency Geico and was charged $189 too get it towed too my friends shop but as my friend came and got me he forgot his debit card in my car and then the next morning his card was charged $40 at a coffee shop right by there place at 6:25am when the driver got off because there shift change is at 6am I would not recommend them unless your want stuff stolen out of your car. read more

I had arranged to have them pick up an RV for me. I live in California and sent a Driver from here there. Apple towing was supposed to meet up with my driver. #3 hours before my driver is at the pick up spot they called me and cancelled on me. Left me with no choices. I had arranged this with BOB and he just went back on his word. Sad thing was i thought People from Texas would be a bit more understanding and help out a fellow American. Very pleased with the service. They arrived in 1 hour. I called for a tow. The driver asked if I had a spare and I said I didn't know. We checked and I did and proceeded to changed it. However, the driver had trouble getting one bolt off. He said they were probably put on incorrectly and I agree. I didn't realize I wouldn't be towed until he got the spare on. I thought he was putting the spare in the make it easier to roll while being towed. He said I would have to have a piece of the wheel bearing replaced. I ended up having to have the entire wheel bearing replaced at over $400. I wish I would have just had it towed as I originally intended and let the mechanic take the tire off instead of the driver prying the bolt off. I will use this company again if I need a tow but I won't let them touch my tires. I will wait for a full service mechanic. read more

Had to tow my car 20 miles away, which is what insurance pays for,but tow truck driver took the longest way possible that went out of the way an extra 10 miles, then when I told the lady that was a bit wayyy out of the way and a lot more, she added with a huge attitude, are you refusing to pay then? I told her that Apple Maps, GPS, and even Mapquest had directions to my house in 20 miles or less I did not use tollways or anything else and wondered why the tow truck driver would drive so far out of the way. She got all irate and just told me that my insurance only covered 20 miles and I'd have to pay the rest. I told her that didn't even answer my question. Regardless, I paid. It was only $40.00, but it still rubbed me the wrong way how ignorant and money hungry this company was. The tow truck driver was nice, but left my car on the whole time it was on the tow bed, so it killed any kind of battery that was available... this whole experience was just and if given a choice, I will NEVER CHOOSE THIS TOW TRUCK COMPANY. I might have to complain again if the guy says I didn't pay him in cash, because I did and my home camera caught the exchange, so I don't want any BS about that. read more

We waited 6 hours total in the Heights for a tow truck after we got hit. 1) our roadside assistance called one for us that we had to cancel because driver in Pasadena. That tow truck company was unprofessional. 2) finally our insurance called apple towing to come. Malcolm is a truly amazing driver and individual who made our day by good conversations. Bringing us to body shop AND back home. He gave us tips for driving and what to do after accidents. He worked 2.5 hours OVERTIME after he got off work at 6pm to help us. Incompetent towing company. There are much better options. Apple towing dispatched to pick up my car at 8am from the dealership. At 5pm, after learning my car had yet to be delivered to my residence, I called Apple towing and the dealership. Apple towing says they were told my car wasn't able to be found and that they called me, they surely didn't. Dealership says that is a false statement and that my car was indeed accounted for and ready to be picked up. Apple towing told me they would be out "first thing in the morning" to pick it up again. Called GEICO this morning to see why my car had sill not made it to my house and Apple towing has told them they aren't aware of my car needing to be towed today. Told GEICO I do not want Apple towing company towing my car and they dispatched a different company. Thank you for wasting my time. Liars. If I had to sum up their company and workers in one word. You simply cannot tell someone that you will be there in 45 minutes and NOT show up FIVE hours later! An hour late, shame on you... five hours late, well I'm an idiot and you are a sorry excuse for a company. Called them many times asking for an ETA, "30 mins out", "5 mins away", "5 mins away but having trouble finding it" and more were all the excuses they gave me (and my insurance company). Funny how they told me "5 mins out" and when asked where their closest truck was at they told me a location about 20 mins away in perfect, no traffic, all green lights conditions. Cancelled my tow with them after the fifth hour and the new tow company came within the hour. I still cannot believe they would straight up lie like that. My insurance company got fed up with them as well and I told them they should NEVER use Apple for any future tows and the insurance agent agreed. They could have easily told us they were too busy or didn't have anyone in the area and passed on our tow but instead they were greedy and didn't get our tow anyways and bonus, they also get my bad (brutally honest) review. read more

My insurer used Apple Towing in order to move my car from the storage lot it was at to the mechanic's shop where it would be repaired. On Tuesday they moved the car but Apple Towing left my key at the storage lot. I get a call that same day from the Mechanic's shop asking me to provide the key. I call my Adjuster, he calls Apple Towing. Three days have gone by of which they could have started repairs on my car. Apple Towing tells my Adjuster they can not fix their mistake and I must go grab the key they left. Me. The person who has no car and who lives 40 minutes away. I would not recommend this company to you. They are incompetent and expect others to fix their mistakes. I called my insurance today as Apple Towing was not able to provide any solutions. My insurance has dispatched another company to do the job Apple Towing was not able to finish. read more

Situation: had a hard flat. Ruined tire and ruined wheel as well. Had to pull off into first available parking spot which happened to be an apartment complex. Left it overnight. On the advice of a friend, I called Apple Towing the next morning to get my car to the tire store for wheel and tire replacement. Dispatcher was very professional, very courteous and very informative. The wrecker driver beat their time estimate of when the wrecker would arrive. Wrecker driver was very low key and very professional. Put my car onto the flatbed truck (which the dispatcher told me is all Apple Towing uses) and was careful in doing so. My car has low clearance and he used wooden planks to get clearance for the low hanging air dams. Delivered my car straight away to the tire store I specified. Deposited my car at their service door entrance. Price was as quoted and was very fair and competitive with other Houston towing companies (in my opinion). Apple Towing will be my wrecker service of choice from here forward. read more

Absolutely awful! This company was called for a tow by my insurance provider. Initially the wait was 99 minutes. After that time I called again and they said another hour. I called again after this time and they said 2 more cars were ahead of me. I call 1.5 hours later and now 4 cars are of ahead of me. I've waited for over 6 hours for a tow from this company. Wish 0 was an option. Apple was hired to do my towing through Geico. Apple notified me that it would be approximately 75 minutes. After 30 minutes they called me told that the approximate wait time was still 75 minutes. I asked what had happened and if it was actually still going to be 75 minutes and they informed me that 75 is the standard and it might actually be longer or shorter but all they can tell me is 75 minutes. When I started asking why they couldn't give a real estimate they HUNG up on me. I called back and he admitted he HUNG up on me. So I asked if they could just have the driver call me 10 minutes prior to arriving so I could walk across the street and get something to eat. Driver called me when he arrived so I had to rush to get closed out and over. Driver had never towed a motorcycle. Not only had he never towed a motorcycle he also did not have any of the equipment necessary to tow a motorcycle. Like a strap without a hook on it. Not only this but he was on the phone the entire time. So I took his car straps and I shortened them and strapped down the entire thing by myself without the help of the tow truck driver. He didn't think that I secured them well enough so he called another driver, which took another 45 minutes. He also did not have the necessary straps on his truck for a motorcycle. He looked how I strapped it down and agreed that it was going to work. Now we set off towards the repair show 3 MILES away. He drove between 10 and 15 mph to get there. This took forever. Now we get there, he was on his phone and I unstrapped my own bike. Overall only took a short 4.5 hours to get my Bike 3 miles from its original position. I will be pushing it next time, should only take a little over an hour. NEVER USE THIS COMPANY EVER!!!!! read more

Received false and deceptive information from the listed contact (Dave) at the location. Photos in the auction catalogue were not representative of the asset. Bid/purchase from this storage location at your own risk. I have purchased from several other locations without issue. Compare catalogue details (photo quality and accessibility of storage location contact person) for Chicago to Baltimore or St. Louis for example. Engine was dumping fuel out of valve #1 and nearly burned on the shoulder of I-88 in downtown Chicago after pick-up. At pick-up operator station (dash) displayed "large" check engine warning. No photo of same in the auction catalogue. All four tires flat on pick-up....no mention in catalogue. Paint gone on lower quarter panels behind all four wheel sets....no photos. Other storage locations provide photos and comments on the smallest imperfections. Strongly recommend hard pass on vehicles offered by US Marshall Service and US Treasury stored at the Apple Towing Chicago location. read more

Was set up w Apple towing through My insurance. They were overloaded with calls at the time and told me I could leave the key in the unlocked car, which was fine. I was told the car would be dropped off unlocked w the key where I left it. They towed the car 2.5 hours later. When I went to my car the next day the car was locked and I couldn't locate the key. When I called Apple to ask where it would be I was told they didn't know and there was no note left, but he would call the driver. When I called back 1.5 hrs later to get a key update I was ranted at that he hadn't had time to look into it THEN decided to check the notes which said it was in the gas tank. Would have been nice if he could have glanced at the notes the first time so I didn't have to spend an hour Ubering across town to try and locate my spare key. read more
