So picture this. Ice storm delayed my flight and was 3 hrs behind schedule. Tired, hungry, and grumpy toddler to entertain for hours on end + flight time = get me the heck home before I can no longer function. On the way home BOOM! Pot hole from Hades blows my front and back tire out. Holy crap-a-moly I thought I was going to lose it but didn't have the energy too. Strange town so I googled tow trucks in Houston. Up pops Apple Towing Co so I roll the dice since I know nothing about towing companies here and just hoped it was a good one. Well, it just so happens they were AWESOME! First of all they said it could take up to 45-60 mins to arrive and it took more like 15-20. I had never been so happy to see anyone! The driver was so incredibly professional and courteous. It was 30 degrees outside so he held my baby so I could climb up in the cab and then handed him to me in the toasty warm cab. It was a big flat bed tow truck and it was really nice inside. Nice truck itself in general and it was kept very clean so it was very comfortable to wait in. I wish I could remember the driver's name! He told me but my brain was past functioning so all I have is his employee number, #604 from the receipt. Very, very, nice man and I felt very safe and well taken care of being a lady out on the road with an infant. He towed me to where I am staying while in town and I have to say, the price was very reasonable! It was $75 to hook up, a $10 fuel charge, and $2 a mile. Only came out to $95 which is way cheaper than most companies even just to hook up from what I hear. I will definitely use them again should I need another tow around here. I may even have to call them back tomorrow if my dealership won't come and get my ride for me for free. Having to get your car towed is never a fun thing but they made it as pain free as humanly possible. Thank you so much Apple Towing co! You guys are great! And thank you driver 604! read more

After suffering a very scary blowout on I-10, My roadside assistance called Apple Towing. They picked up my vehicle in a timely manner, dropped it off at a tire repair shop at 2am, and the driver was exceedingly kind and professional. The driver was nice but the said company does not put tire irons / 4 ways on their truck so the driver couldn't help with the tire change. He tried to call another truck but they were unavailable. Today I need a tow truck flat bed I called around 1 they said they were backed up and it would take 2 hours that they would call me back. I call back at 3 which is two hours later and they just kept putting me on hold and the girl didn't seem to have my info when I have it to her the first time I called. She sounded lazy and just rude when I called. I called back and a man answers and he told me a different story saying they might not be able to pick it up. After posting this review I got a call from Mike Scully, the owner of Apple Towing. He wanted to make things right and sent me a check to replace the stolen articles from my car. I was surprised he called and even more surprised that I actually received the check. I commend Mike on being an above board business man who wants to protect his business reputation and accommodate his customers. DO NOT USE - After waiting 5 hours for them to show up - they stole everything out of the inside of my car - floor mats (weathertech - $200.00 mats), change, CDs - everything that wasn't tied down was stolen - even my gas!! Every ounce of gas was siphoned from my tank, I barely made it a gas station when I picked my car up from the dealership where it was towed to. Cannot get a manager from Apple to call me back and have left several messages. BEWARE of this towing company! read more

Geiko set up my towing with Apple Towing this morning, and after waiting 30 min past the stated arrival time I called them to get an ETA. The woman who answered said the order was cancelled by Geiko. Geiko said they never cancel service unless the customer requests it cancelled, and my Geiko agent said she would file a complaint on Apple Towing over the issue. I hope the replacement is better. read more

Robert was very professional and prompt. He called me to inform me that he was on his way to my resident. My car smelled of gas and smoked when I started the engine. He was able to load my car on to the truck platform without starting the engine. He took great care of my car. He attached the tow hook and told me never let someone tow my car without it. I rode with him 11 miles from my resident to the auto shop. He is a pleasant and careful driver. I am very pleased with the service. read more

I was in need of roadside assistance, so naturally I called Geico. They sent Apple Towing with this little rinky-dink tow truck. I couldn't remember the name of the guy. He was a chubby black man. He was being a complete jerk the whole time. Then he had no clue how to use the GPS. When I told him he was going in the wrong direction he began yelling at me. I told him I didn't live on this side of town. He then realized he entered the wrong address. Apple Towing should hire nice guys who can read and write at least with a high school diploma. read more

They had me waiting 6 1/2 HOURS for one of their cars to come! The first guy came an hour after I originally called, BUT brought the wrong type of towing truck and told me to meet him outside (my car was in a parking garage) since he can't bring the truck in. We'll DUH if the car could work I wouldn't have needed it towing. I kept telling him this and he ignored me and said he would need to call the office and they would call me back... Of course they never called back. I called and told them what happen and why they didn't send the correct truck since I had discussed all the details with them in my original call. I had to call them back 3 times until I ended up calling another towing company. The driver of this original call was rude and I did not appreciate the 6 1/2 HOUR LONG WAIT!! Do not use! read more

If I could give this company a 0 I would. Geico dispatched Apple towing to pick up my disabled vehicle at 7:00 am ETA was suppose to be 8:15 am. It's winter time and freezing about 40 degrees with cold rain. Called geico and the towing company at 8:30 Apple towing had me on hold 10 minutes and came back and said the tow truck was 5 minutes away. Waited another 20 minutes no tow truck. Not sure how this company is successful service is terrible. Not to mention I had to freeze my ass off in my car because I've been waiting for a tow truck all morning that has yet to come. So then I call back again and the guy puts me on another hold and I've now been on hold 15 minutes and still no tow truck. Geico should probably find another company to dispatch tow trucks to because Apple towing is un professional as well as slow. Apple towing never came by the way so I had to have geico dispatch another company so had to wait another hour in the freezing cold. Geico also tried to get in touch with Apple towing to see where the driver was and they didn't answer for geico as well. read more

Wasted a lot of time going back n forth when there was no disagreement but a misunderstanding on Apple towings end. However the service I received from Tommie was absolutely impeccable!!! Garbage. I waited over an hour for someone to come help me get the keys I locked in my car. (I know dumb move.) The guy shows up and then doesn't have the lockout kit. I was set up to use Apple Towing through my insurance Geico for roadside assistance. I couldn't drive my vehicle to the dealership, which is why I had to have it towed. First wrecker gets to my place and tells me, "my truck doesn't fit in the parking garage". So I told him give me 10-15 min to try to drive my car to the front of the complex. I managed to move my car to the front, but no wrecker was in front of complex!! Called him twice and ignored my calls since he fled my place without him calling me to tell me that he was leaving . I called Geico and bitched them out and they sent me another wrecker driver within 20 min. Well this wrecker driver must of not gotten any booty or was pissed off cause he had to work, but not a damn word came out of his mouth from the time he arrived to dropping off my car at the dealership!! No good morning, no thank you, no how you doing!! Just no customer service etiquette! A grown ass man with no manners, next time keep your ass at home and keep having a bad day, no need to ruin everybody else's day!! First time first impression. I had an encounter with Tammie whom I assume manages this location. Prior to actually going to pick up the vehicle she was nice and very helpful. The day we actually went to pickup the vehicle we got a totally different side of Ms. Tammie. She was extremely rude to myself, the gentleman who picked up our vehicle, and to my child. I have never ever had an encounter with anyone such as the one on this day. Her actions and foul language were completely unwarranted. She did not display an ounce of professionalism. As if the accident my child had wasn't traumatic enough, he had to deal with this type of behavior. The service we received was certainly unjust and almost inhuman. I had a 5 year old and a pre-teen with me. I was so embarrassed to have them witness it. I was told to shut while I was explaining why I was holding the door open which was to let the kids in. My child and the gentleman (A minister) who was with us were treated so bad. I had apologized for her rude behavior because they did deserve that. I don't know who condones this, but I am definitely going to respond and post my experience in every platform I possibly can. We asked for her manager but that was a rhetorical question I guess. read more

Do not use this company if you have options! They lack communication skills! When you have a disabled car, it can be extremely frustrating! I was told one hour! No big deal. It takes time. After an hour and a half, I call the company. They say 22 minutes more. I don't get upset. I give them 30 more minutes. Still no show! I called back and he says 8 minutes. After 10 minutes go by, the tower finally calls and says... 10 more minutes. Learn communication skills. You already are impatient when your car breaks down. Now, you wait longer than promised! They are a horrible company! No clue how they have 4 stars. I give 1 start for company answering the phone but now I'm fed up! read more

Horrible service. Avoid dealing with them if possible. My car was scheduled to be towed, when the driver from Apple towing towed my car he forgot the keys at the pound. Which delayed the process on my end and more fee in storage. Very irresponsible and not good service at all. read more

I rate this company at ZERO stars. I had to select some kind of star rating in order to post my review. We were assigned this towing company through our auto insurance. No one never came and when we called our insurance to check the status, we were informed that Apple Towing shows the towing request to be cancelled but no documentation was made on the cancellation. We waited 75 minutes to find out that no one was coming with this company. First time experience with company and it was horrible. Do yourself a favor and don't even bother. read more

Very good job in bring my car safe and without any damage

GEICO dispatched Apple Towing service to retrieve my car and tow it two miles to the dealership. The original time estimate was 90 minutes, then another 45, then another 30. Upon arrival, 3 hours later, the company declared that they didn't have the appropriate equipment to tow my jeep, collected their money by telling GEICO that they tried, then left. Since the company gets paid by the insurance company for simply showing up, they have every incentive to claim they gave it a shot and then move on. If you have taken a vacation day to spend your entire day waiting on a tow service, then this service is probably fine. read more

Unhappy. Broke down at midnight and they said they would be there in 45 min to 1 hour. 1 hour 45 min later they no showed and stopped answering calls. Called repeatedly as I was stranded in the dark. I am very unimpressed with my experience with Apple Towing. Geico dispatched their service with an original wait of two hours. Since it was in the middle of the work day and I was at work, I thought it'd be no problem. When the two hours had passed, I called the company who said that they did not see the service call from Geico....and told me it'd be 1.5 hours more. An hour and a half later, I called again. This time, it would be 15-20 minutes. Thirty minutes later I called, they said it'd be 10 more minutes. I called Geico again and filed a complaint against Apple and had them dispatch a new towing company. By the way, if more than one complaint is filed or the complaint is serious enough, Geico will remove them as a contract something. So if you have had a similar experience, I suggest calling your insurance company to have Apple Towing removed. read more
