I don't wear my retainer so both times teeth have shifted back. I like the idea of getting teeth fixed without the fuss of going into orthodontist. I came in at my scheduled time and they are very busy with appointments overlapping you get buzzed in at door, they didn't answer my buzz but another person let me in. smile direct is located in a salon center where they rent out spaces for different beauty workers. Pearl took my scan and answered all of my questions she let me check out the retainers you wear throughout the 4-6 month process. My only note as a brace face pro is that these are thinner than the Invisalign but you only wear each pair for a week so probably not a huge problem. I am going to go forth with trying these out and will update my review according to my experience. Update - I received some confusing emails and texts from Smile Direct two days after scan. I first received text telling me they didn't receive all the pictures and that I needed to resubmit then and almost simultaneously received an email telling me I had been approved by the tele doctor. Although during appointment Pearl had told me my insurance was considered out of network and they would cover partially a quick call to Cigna told me that Smile Direct is not covered at all. I have chosen not to go forward at this time. Too many red flags.

Terrible! Now after doing the 3D photos I was told that staff imputed the wrong information into the computer so I had to do another live FaceTime photo session. I still don't have any aligners. It's been very disappointing. The customer service and quality of service has gone downhill. I keep sending in photos, molds and 3D impressions amd live FaceTime photos with NO results. No actual aligners that I can use.

The staff are extremely friendly and professional, and the office is very clean and modern. The shopping center can be packed but there is convenient rooftop parking. I came to their office as an emergency appointment because my fixed retainer broke on the bottom and the loose wire was driving me crazy! The staff was able to squeeze me in to see Dr. Diana and she took the time to explain the process to me and what the next steps would be. She was very sweet and went above and beyond when it came down to fitting me with a new retainer when I still had deep cleaning to do (as the cleanings could potentially affect how the retainer would fit on my teeth). The new retainer was done within two days, which was a huge relief as I was concerned about my teeth shifting again. I never waited longer than a few minutes in the waiting room during the multiple visits I had, and the staff was great in getting everything through my insurance.
