So, I am getting dentures and needed to have what was left of my teeth pulled, plus the little nubs…read morefrom under crowns (I've had 13 root canals, so, a bunch of nubs!) My dentist had given me a list of oral surgeons. I chose this one because it was the closest to me. I was very confused because this place is listed under many names, same address. When I called, the name that came up was 'Shore Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery' at 17 White Horse Pike, Suite 8 in Haddon Heights. When I searched for it online, there were several different names under that exact address. Anyway, I also had to reschedule my appointment (twice) and actually had no problem at all. When I finally got to the appointment, I found the office very clean and the receptionist was friendly. I didn't wait too before going back, and the dental assistant who took me back was very friendly. The surgeon came in and was nice, just a low talker, so I didn't quite catch his name lol. He did another xray. Then he hit me with what felt like 50 needles to numb me. That was the worst of it all. He finished pulling them in no time. The assistant came back in with my gauze and instructions. She even told me that it's a good idea to show the dentist a picture of my natural teeth. I'm reading these reviews and would never have gone there if I'd read them prior to my procedure. I've had better oral surgeons, but since this was a very cut and dry procedure, it went well.

No dude now ur getting cussed out I'll show you the difference. He needs a new line of work.

I gave her my last name and after a few moments she asked if I was a new patient. I told her yes and she proceeded to tell me that I needed to be here 15 minutes ago and that I had paperwork to fill out with the most disgusting attitude. I said apologies, and she told me that I may have to be rescheduled. She handed me my paperwork and it took me about 5 minutes to fill out. I went and gave it back to her and received the most disgusted look back from her followed by her telling me that I would have to be rescheduled. At that moment I had had enough with being treated how I was being treated. I asked her if i had done something to her since I walked in that warranted being treated this way. I told her that she had been nothing but rude to me since I walked in and that my appointment reminder that I received the day prior did not mention or remind me to be 15 minutes early to my appointment. She then proceeded to say that she was sorry if I took it that way. I told her that it was not me taking her tone a certain way, it was exactly how she was being and said that I was shocked that this is the first impression that they would give a new patient. She tried to reschedule me for two months from now until I told them I was here for a military requirement. Fast forward to being taken back to be seen by the dentist, he claimed that I need numerous procedures done including a tooth extraction. When I asked the dentist, I was told that the woman's name at the front desk was either Erika or Megan. Which I think was a lie. Not once did he ask me if everything was okay or inquire why I was asking. I did not make a next appointment and will be going elsewhere. Not once did the office staff try to rectify the situation or apologize on behalf of "Erika's" disgusting attitude or customer service skills. It absolutely blows my mind to see this clinic with patients.

Highly encourage all parents to read this review prior to visiting Dr. Mark Raab at Atlantic Coast…read moreDentistry for Children. On Thursday, 9/16/21 I took my 6 year old son to this practice. He was experiencing severe tooth/gum pain along with some minor ear ache. I explained how he wasn't sleeping well and that we needed an X-ray and a treatment plan. The medical staff, Marie, was extremely cold and off-putting. As with any new experience (especially the dentist), my son was very nervous. He expressed anxiety and fear - and wanted me to be with him during the x-Ray. She threatened my son saying "I'll make mom leave and go sit in the waiting room" multiple times before asking me to step out. When I asked to stay with him for the X-ray I was told "No" and asked to wait outside. After not getting an X-Ray, the staff took my minor son back to the exam room where he was examined by Dr. Raab. Less than five minutes later Dr. Raab met me in the waiting room and told me the tooth needed to be extracted. That the alternative would be a root canal but in my sons anxious state, that was not a good option. Dr. Raab extracted a permanent six year molar from his mouth after his staff member Marie refused to allow me to calm my child to obtain a necessary diagnostic test to make an informed medical decision. He did not give me any type of informed consent and just basically guilted me into thinking the extraction was my only option. I should be able to trust medical advice from a doctor and his staff. The experience was nothing but bullying and medical negligence to get me out the door and collect a payment. When I got home with my son and he finally calmed down from the traumatic experience, he informed me that Dr. Raab put his hand over my son's mouth and held him down. Almost to the point where he couldn't breathe. He will be reported to the Board of Medical Examiners; his practice will be reported to the Better Business Bureau; and I've contacted a medical negligence attorney. Please do not bring your child(ren) to this dentist!!
