But made me wait to referre me out. That they tried to call. So I been suffering all month waiting to be told he's not good enough of a dentist to do it. Now I asked them before are you sure he will do it because last time a year prior the dr stoped half way through the procedure of drilling my tooth out and said he couldn't do it because he couldn't get me numb enough although the specialist I went to later had no problem doing it. I don't know why I have this place another go. But they left me worst off and in sever pain for weeks and weeks it takes to find a new dentist. Very unkind very uncaring and very third to waste my whole day I took off for work for. Why make an appointment if you're not going to do the procedure. I'm dying from infection and there wasting my time.

She does and since they have to put a camera in my throat my mom was just telling her I gag a lot. And she goes "let me do my job. I am very good with kids." Highly encourage all parents to read this review prior to visiting Dr. Mark Raab at Atlantic Coast…read moreDentistry for Children. On Thursday, 9/16/21 I took my 6 year old son to this practice. He was experiencing severe tooth/gum pain along with some minor ear ache. I explained how he wasn't sleeping well and that we needed an X-ray and a treatment plan. The medical staff, Marie, was extremely cold and off-putting. As with any new experience (especially the dentist), my son was very nervous. He expressed anxiety and fear - and wanted me to be with him during the x-Ray. She threatened my son saying "I'll make mom leave and go sit in the waiting room" multiple times before asking me to step out. When I asked to stay with him for the X-ray I was told "No" and asked to wait outside. After not getting an X-Ray, the staff took my minor son back to the exam room where he was examined by Dr. Raab. Less than five minutes later Dr. Raab met me in the waiting room and told me the tooth needed to be extracted. That the alternative would be a root canal but in my sons anxious state, that was not a good option. Dr. Raab extracted a permanent six year molar from his mouth after his staff member Marie refused to allow me to calm my child to obtain a necessary diagnostic test to make an informed medical decision. He did not give me any type of informed consent and just basically guilted me into thinking the extraction was my only option. I should be able to trust medical advice from a doctor and his staff. The experience was nothing but bullying and medical negligence to get me out the door and collect a payment. When I got home with my son and he finally calmed down from the traumatic experience, he informed me that Dr. Raab put his hand over my son's mouth and held him down. Almost to the point where he couldn't breathe. He will be reported to the Board of Medical Examiners; his practice will be reported to the Better Business Bureau; and I've contacted a medical negligence attorney. Please do not bring your child(ren) to this dentist!!

A few days later, I called again to reschedule my appointment, and the same person was visibly upset because I needed to reschedule. Once again, he was very impatient. When I arrived at the office, the dentist did not introduce himself, and the procedure felt rushed. They did not offer sedation and only provided local anesthesia. When the procedure was finished, they hurried me to get up, and instead of verbally explaining aftercare instructions, they simply handed me a sheet of paper. The instructions were incomplete, and I still had several unanswered questions after reading them. I had complications after the surgery but I went to another dentist because I was not willing to go through all of that again. Overall, the experience was not terrible, but there are definitely better dental offices to go to.

My dentist had given me a list of oral surgeons. I chose this one because it was the closest to me. I was very confused because this place is listed under many names, same address. When I called, the name that came up was 'Shore Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery' at 17 White Horse Pike, Suite 8 in Haddon Heights. When I searched for it online, there were several different names under that exact address. Anyway, I also had to reschedule my appointment (twice) and actually had no problem at all. When I finally got to the appointment, I found the office very clean and the receptionist was friendly. I didn't wait too before going back, and the dental assistant who took me back was very friendly. The surgeon came in and was nice, just a low talker, so I didn't quite catch his name lol. He did another xray. Then he hit me with what felt like 50 needles to numb me. That was the worst of it all. He finished pulling them in no time. The assistant came back in with my gauze and instructions. She even told me that it's a good idea to show the dentist a picture of my natural teeth. I'm reading these reviews and would never have gone there if I'd read them prior to my procedure. I've had better oral surgeons, but since this was a very cut and dry procedure, it went well.
