I stopped by the Applebee's in Bartlett after their remodel. They definitely cleaned the place up--it smells a lot better now! But the new vibe is a bit dark and the furniture isn't very comfortable. It's a bit disappointing because it feels like they fixed the exterior but left the same old attitude. The food is still just okay, and you don't really get your money's worth with the service. The good news is there's a ton of parking, and it feels like a safe spot to go with a group. read more

Got there at 4:45 during happy hour and when check arrived I was not only charged full price, but $2 more than the menu price. I have been eating here almost daily for the last 2 weeks between 4-5 ordering the same thing without issue. I let my server know the price was supposed to be happy hour and he said happy hour is over at 4 and I said that isn't right that I've been eating there regularly after 4pm and getting happy our price. He brought me $2 for overcharging me the regular menu price ($12.99 instead of $10.99) without returning my check. I said I need to see something in writing showing their happy hour time is 2-4pm. He said they didn't have anything. I said online it shows 2-5pm. I said this isn't right I ordered before 5pm and I need my check. He brought me a re-printed check with the current time on it. I said I need the original check that shows when I placed the order. He said it was in the trash. He then brought the EXTREMELY RUDE manager out who said the check was in the trash. This is not normal! Who throws away a guest's check if they aren't trying to hide something?? They ran off a regular customer over $5! On top of this, the air has been out for two weeks and it's like a sauna in there. They have fans sitting on the tables, it's blazing hot in there. They are probably just too cheap to turn on the A/C. I only ate there for the HAPPY HOUR prices, and even toughed out the sweltering sauna heat. I am pretty sure what happened...they ran my check after 5pm even though I ordered before 5 and refused to correct it. Not only that, they purposely entered a higher price ($12.99) than what is on the menu ($10.99). I'm a nice person, I'm not some angry Karen, and I have no idea why the would do this. I was happy to discover that an Applebees was still open in the area because I thought all of them closed. But now I see why they closed. I'm sure this one will be following soon. Me and my grandparents came here on April 17, 2023. We got seated pretty quickly. It took a little bit for our waiter to come, but he (Carol) made sure we was going to be served our food quickly. Carol was very nice and speedy. It feels like he was the only one that actually was working. There were other workers that didn't really do anything, but just sitting at the stands. Carol was also running the bar area , while also serving everyone else. I decided to have the quesadilla burger and fries. The seasoning on the fries were really good. This Applebees's located @ 2890 Bartlett Blvd was by far the WORST one of all that I've gone too .. Me & a close Friend stopped there she ordered the 8oz steak broccoli and mashed potatoes and one of the frozen margarita drinks however the steak was so tough You couldn't even cut it with the silverware and it was overcooked and well overdone burnt I should say when she ordered medium well No hassle about it she continued to eat it anyways and as far as her margarita goes, she took maybe about two sips out of the margarita. And told our server something not right about this drink tasted like bleach was in the bottom of the glass with the frozen drink so our server ..went back to asked one of the bartenders could this drink be taken off our tab and they replied yes it could 10 minutes later. Our server came back and said the Manager said it couldn't be done. We will have to pay for it so i got irritated & frustrated I didn't argue I went on and paid for it. We get to the restaurant waited to be seated no booth are clean. Had to wait till one get clean once we sit down waited on the waitress. She came over and introduced her herself then we get a trainee had to repeat. I ordered three times until she got it right gave our drink orders, which was only water and a Mountain Dew. It took them 20 minutes to bring out our drink orders another 25 minutes. as we were sitting there waiting, they served other patrons who came in after us. Their food. Potatoes were too thick to eat, but overall everything was great paid for our food. Once I get the next day look on my bank statement I have been charged an extra $15 which I left a tip for the waitress. She took it upon herself and tipped herself $15. I'm very disturbed with this. Sighing...where to begin? I must say that I was really wanting to enjoy my uber eats delivery from Applebee's but that was not the case. I am giving them two stars since half of a sandwich was eaten due to hunger not because it was tasty and the rest of the $43plus order went uneaten...SMH! I'd never thought that I would have to write a less than 5 star review anywhoo, for starters I ordered following to be delivered (2) two prime rib sandwiches (totally laughable) but wasn't at all any quality nor taste. The "prime rib" sandwich should be renamed to strings and things. The meat was dry, stuff thin with a bland taste. ARG! Let's move on to the fries. It was (3) three order of fries all were stale. My toddler loves fries and when I say he LOVES fries he left the fries right where they laid. (Sad Face) I also order pizza was my little guy which he LOVES! I wonder why after a bite of pizza he didn't want parts of it. My hubby a bite of the pizza and a bite of the sandwich to which he replied: This absolutely not worth the hefty price we paid. We were left sadden and unfulfilled. Last, but not certainty not least my little guy had a drink with his pizza and I KID YOU NOT! Managers are incompetent and will not get back to even they say they will. I ordered an online order back in January 5th and they completely messed up my order. They said they would reach out to their district manager about getting me a refund and they never did. Building looks like a wreck with the ceiling always leaking when it rains. Oh, Applebee's... I came last night, around 10ish, (March 16) with a friend and we were seated immediately. They were fairly busy and it showed from the terrible service we received from our waitress. She was barely at our table and when she was she was rushing us as if she had somewhere better to be. There were no decent drink specials and when I wanted to order an Old Fashioned the bar didn't even have the bitters that go in it. I had to settle for a Cosmo which is a new drink on their menu and let me just tell you Carrie (Sex and the City) would be seriously disappointed. I ordered chips and salsa + a grilled chicken Caesar salad w/tomatoes. The food was ok but how can anyone mess up something that simple? Hungry for a sit-down meal, I spotted an Appleby's. In spite of the negative Reviews here (only 1 was recent), which I read in the parking lot, I decided to check it out. Maybe they've improved? Maybe being 3/4 empty & less busy is a good thing for me? So here goes. Most of my Reviews tend to be 4**** or 5***** because I like to eat at highly-recommended places. But I've also given lengthy 1* & 2** Reviews when warranted. Host was sanitizing a Booth, which he offered me. No other Diners were seated within 20'. Health Score 99. Server Bryant was prompt, efficient, polite. Instead of taking my glass to the Kitchen to refill it, he brought me a fresh drink. Good move. I enjoyed the Classic Broccoli Shrimp Alfredo served with Garlic Sticks $12.99. Good Food & Good Value. No complaints here. read more

This is my first visit to this particular Applebee's Restaurant.. My sister and I went for a late afternoon snack. We both ordered the chicken quesadillas with a strawberry margarita. The chicken quesadillas was served hot, fresh and delicious. The strawberry margaritas were favorable and made very well. My only complaint is just like mostly every restaurant you go to now is the service is just horrific. It seems like every place has only 1-2 employees. He would have a very cold and rude attitude each time he came to the table. The food was ok, but the portions were to small for the amount they cost, but it taste ok. How hard can a bacon cheeseburger be? Not custom order. Right off the menu. It was way overdone, dry and not even hot off the grill. It was a forgotten castaway from your neighbor's cookout last weekend, day-old bun, scant stale lettuce, soggy pickle and all. And there was no mayonnaise to be found by the waitress. The fries were cold. As for a beer to go with it, no draft selections from the bar, other than Bud and Bud Lite (that speaks for itself). And don't ask for any ambers, porters or bocks. Not in stock. I literally had their last bottle of Modelo in stock. I asked for another, but was told they were out. It was a sad, sad experience and I was embarrassed to be there. Applebee's is a great restaurant but since the pandemic they've been struggling with employees not coming to work. We ate at Applebee's (2 other individuals) after church on Sunday but this particular restaurant had maybe two employees (1 manager) that could take orders. We went straight from church. The food was presented in a good way for all three of our meals. Applebee's needs to work on the clean up process especially in the restroom (women) because of standing water. read more

This place has fell off terribly! For starters, the server didn't address our table till almost 10 minutes later after passing us multiple times going to the tables in front and behind us. after she addressed us she took another 5 minutes to come back and get our order. We ordered two dessert, a spinach dip, and a $6 drink that was being advertised. The two desserts came out about 10-15 minutes later. They were great! The bartender lady then bought the drink over LEAKING and didn't even give us any napkins when it was obviously wasting in her hands. It tasted like pure water! It was supposed to be mixed with bacardi liquor and the entire thing tasted like water, the syrup did the even taste like anything. The spinach dip never came out, but she still tried to charge us for it. We waited for napkins and she brought out bathroom paper towels! The table in front of us waited nearly 10 minutes for their checks (meanwhile we're still waiting for her to come back to check on us) she had to run across the street to get that table change. Still waiting! She took forever to get us our check. We spent most of our time there waiting rather than eating..
