I don't feel the menu has much variety and they need to have baked potatoes and bread.

I typically don't write reviews on large chain restaurants, but felt the need to this time. I was at the bar alone last Monday and ordered a draught beer (+1) and dinner. They were not busy, but it took well over an hour to get my food and when it came out it was missing part of the order. I was tired and frustrated and told them I did not want it or wait for it. I did say I would pay for it but was not staying. The Manager, who was also cooking came out and apologized and convinced me to stay and try the food but I did not have to pay. I agreed to try the food and it was very good. Everyone has a bad day and I think this evening was one for them. The manager and bar tender were both very attentive and I did pay part of the bill even though they did not want me too. read more

The bar tender and what looked the bar manager one of them did yell out someone will be with us soon, looked like the bar manager long blond hair girl was busy doing liquor inventory the entire time we was there over an hour. Our waitress Mckayla C, had no einthusan. The food was just okay little value or quality for the money. There was less than fifteen tables and few bar customers. The place could us a little cleaning and freshen up. The wall next to waitress station with the OU Bobcats logo is black from grease and grim, bad look. The manager, Angela, and staff were extremely rude. We ordered carryout and all the pickup spots were taken with parked cars. Sat in parking lot for 40 minutes even after calling and checking on food. Had front row seat of front door, no one ever came out to look around the pickup spots. Had to call again to get food. Staff argued with us about parking in "wrong spot" but there was nowhere else to park for pickup. Then they got our order wrong. When I called to ask to speak with manager, they staff refused to let me talk to her and took my number and said she would call back, heard them laughing about not calling back when they hung up. As you can imagine the manager never called back. Will not eat at an applebee's again, rude staff, long wait times, food isn't the greatest, especially when you don't get what was ordered. OK I know we all know Applebee's but I had to write this---visiting from out of state and was recommended to get Bourbon Street Chicken and Shrimp...DELICIOUS! My only critique is more Cajun seasoning but I like a bit of spice. The chicken was cooked perfectly!!!! Moist all throughout, fully cooked. Amazing as I am picky on my chicken cook. We had a party of six. Everybody was happy with their meal. I again had the 12 ounce sirloin with two orders of broccoli and the Shrimp and Parmesan topping on the steak. I like my steak as rare as they will give it to me. Finally, this steak was perfect. Loved it. My uncle for dessert had the Triple Chocolate Meltdown. He is 89 years old and didn't eat his whole meal, but he killed this. Overall service was good and food and drinks came quick. Can't ask for more than that. We'll be back. read more

The worst place to eat at in Chillicothe. The waitresses don't care about their job. The cooks served cold food. You'll wait 20 minutes just for drinks. Then when you complain about the service. There's no manager they don't care to correct it. Honestly this place needs shut down. If I owned this restaurant I'd fire every single person. On a back note me and my family went to have dinner . Bartender was RUDE AF! RUN AWAY!! We visited on Saturday 3/16/24 @ 6:30 PM and attempted to sit at the bar which had 6 empty spots. We were told we couldn't sit at any of them because they were 'dirty' - while she stood there and literally did NOTHING!! Here is a concept- quit being lazy and CLEAN!! I came here because I often can smell it when I go over to Walgreens and it smells so good. Our waiter was a bit off. When I asked about low-fat salad dressing he made a disgusted face the entire time he tried to think of different low fat dressings. I asked him if he did not like them and he said no he did not. We was at Applebee's Chillicothe Saturday or lunch the lady that was greeting and cleaning off tables dropped a bowl of red sauce from another table o to the floor that splatterd all over us and into my wife's hair. All we got was napkins to try and clean ourselves off..It was so disgusting my wife couldn't eat..All we got was an apology from our waiter and we had to ask him for a wet towel.no offer of a discount or anything.. Dang how is this dump still open??? It smells like dirty dish water. The servers walk around like zombies when they are not hiding in the back. Came here as a last resort due to the large number of 16 in our party, and everything else being packed. We expected a long seating wait, which is was so long. The server was nice and did what he could with the circumstances of the night, busy, out of food, and no credit card machine. The food was where it was bad. Everything looked threw together, wasn't cooked correctly, come out at weird times. In the picture below you see a sirloin I ordered medium and it was well done and only cooked on one side. Everyone's steak was cooked very over what the ordered. Green beans looked disgusting and had a bad texture. So My daughter and I found our self's looking for a place to eat after a concert on a Tuesday night . Applebee's looked like it would fit the bill. They were not busy and our server was good. We were starving so we ordered the SALSA VERDE BEEF NACHOS with the peppers on the side. They were served shockingly fast, like they had already been made for another table fast. For a dish that has queso blanco and pico and fresh jalapeños it was bland, like white bread bland. It shouldent have been bland, I kept thinking wile eating it, they tried to hard to make a dish that they could serve fast ( and make cheap) and they forgot why I was there, GOOD FOOD. Please make a simple dish that tastes good. On to the main course, I ordered a ALL-DAY BRUNCH BURGER and my daughter got the FOUR CHEESE MAC + CHEESE WITH HONEY PEPPER CHICKEN TENDERS. Now throw a egg on about anything and I will be happy and the burger did not disappoint. I ask for my egg fried over hard and I think the cook took it as everything over fried. My slightly over cooked burger was tasty and ( finally , see some of my reviews and you will understand) I got some good fries, very good frys!!!! This was the first time eating at this Applebee's. I ordered the Oriental Chicken Salad to go. I have been eating this salad for over 15+ years. This was the worst salad I have ever had. There was no lettuce! Well maybe a 1/4 a cup at most. It looked like they dumped a 1/2 a bag of that oriental salad you buy at Walmart and dumped it into the to go container.
