I ordered the Chicken Fajitas Rollup but I didn't like it because it wasn't like a fajita at all to me and that was what I was expecting. It had too much rice in it for my taste. This is the best Applebees we've ever been to! They've substantially upgraded their food game since we last ate here 4-5 years ago! Clean and spacious as one would expect, we sat at a high top in the bar area. Our server was professional and checked on us often. Our starter of a cup of Tomato Basil Soup was a perfect blend of tomato and herbs topped with a nicely melted Parmesan for a spectacular cheese pull and seasoned bread crumbs. My main of 6 oz. Top Sirloin (medium rare), crispy onion rings, and creamy Cole slaw was really nicely seasoned and juuuust enough salt. The other Applebee's w've visited were salt bombs on everything. Not this Applebees. My steak was cooked closer to medium, but may have just continued cooking prior to delivery to our table. Still a lovely dark pink and juicy. My husband's grilled Chicken with Mashed Potatoes and Garlicky Green Beans was so well seasoned and delicious! I'm not a fan of Chicken Breast, but his was juicy and well seasoned! I could have eaten the whole thing! Corbin is lucky to have an Applebee's of this caliber. First time to Applebees in 5-6 years. Really surprised at the menu. Lots of choices with apps and sides. We both ended up getting burgers. Onion rings and fries. Both burgers were delicious and actually looked like the menu pics. Fries were good. Onion rings were breaded not battered if you have a preference. Server was excellent with knowledge and suggestions. Atmosphere was nice somewhere between casual dining and Friday night at the bar. We returned the same day for lava cake and a blonde and both were amazing. Hot and delicious. We look forward to returning. read more

So we stopped here on our way back to CBus after spending some time in Cleveland, TN for a softball tournament. It was just dark so probably 6 PM. The restaurant was following COVID guidelines and we waited outside for a table to be ready. WHen called in about 10-15 min, we were taken directly to our table. At first, the waitress seemed nice enough. She kept my diet soda filled as well as hubby's water. We were entertained by NFL games on the TV - it was a Sunday evening. I ordered the Tuscan CHicken salad - hubby got the Bacon CHeddar Chicken Sandwich. Our entrees came out in a descent time. HOWEVER, my salad had a very sad amount of chicken on it and I couldn't see ANY other fixings. I was afraid they had brought someone else's order to the table as the sad little "salad" looking at me was not what I ordered. Pretty quickly a manager (?) came to the table and questioned my questioning. I explained my dilemma as he tried to point out the piece of tomato (TINY little cube) and an alleged sliver of cuke, etc. I think he realized how ridiculous the salad was and took it away. Someone else came to ask about the problem - and ME, who ordinarily NEVER sends food back - explained that I seriously thought it was the wrong order as it looked nothing like it should. I was told they would remake the order. My poor hubby sat there with his sandwich and fries getting cold to wait about the 15 min it took to get the "new" salad back. WHen it returned it looked the Tuscan salad should have - but on steroids. NOT COMPLAINING! My guess is they started with sad salad #1 and added in regular Tuscan salad to it to total up to MONSTER SALAD. Needless to say it was DELICIOUS and FILLING. I only wish they would have brought out something acceptable first - AND now I hope all my future salads at Applebees live up the legend that was that evening. Hubby said his meal was good. He didn't complain about the service or it being cold by the time he ate. I think he wanted us to make the best of the situation. If it had been HIS food, he would not have been so nice. However, he knows that I never gripe and that if I had known my question would have raised such a kerfuffle, I would have kept my mouth shut and eaten the darn sad salad #1. read more

We pulled in here for a quick lunch on our way out to Tennessee. Sierra was our server, super sweet and on top of drinks. Knew the menu, asked on appetizers and drinks, told us the specials. Mr Henson manager seated us, seemed nervous. Bathrooms older but clean, and restaurant updated and very clean. We had lunch about 1pm, nothing fancy just a plain cheeseburger and fries, and tenders and fries. My food brought to me first but his right after. Hot food was hot and really great burger, made the right way, not a pre formed patty either. This is how Applebee's used to be in our area, and it was nice to see good service and great food still exists! read more

I came here to watch the NBA finals the other day. I have never gotten service so terrible like this in my life. Our waitress took my two friend's order and walked away and did not even acknowledge my existence. After being called after, I told her I had an order as well. Received with a "Ok, what do you want?" I put in my order. My friends received their order about ten minutes later and even received more food they placed in after, but I didn't receive my simple order of wings. Our waitress came to our tables asking if everything was okay? I told her I was still waiting for my food. "She said okay, ill go check" She comes back another 15 minutes later asking if everything was okay? I told her i was still waiting and came to eat with my friends not by myself. She said because of the game they were super backed up. I finally received my wings which to my surprise were cold (making me think my order was placed at the right time, just not brought out on purpose) and proceeded to not even be the flavor I ordered. When i told her this isn't even what i ordered, she said all she could do was not charge me. For me, the $5 wasn't an issue. I just wanted my food and hang out with my friends and watch the game. Being the only person of color there, I can't help but feel this incident was personal. Regardless the reason, it was not okay and made me feel very attacked. read more

The service was very good. Sierra was a very good server. Very attentive. Of course, I had my dirty martini. It was very good-- even though they couldn't stuff my olives with bleu cheese. The side salads are big and wonderful! Lettuce is crunchy and the bleu cheese dressing is actually very good. The problem came with the entree. We had the 2 for $20. My companion had the spinach and artichoke chicken cavatappi. Looked beautiful. The pasta was not cooked in salted water. So relatively tasteless. My dish was the chicken caprese. It liked beautiful and colorful on the menu. What I got was a huge plate of mashed potatoes with grilled chicken, and colorless grilled tomato and a lot of grilled red onion. There was absolutely no basil to be seen. The server understood that I was not happy with the dish and said she would bring me something different. I didn't want to wait for it, so just ate the chicken (which was delicious). She told the manager and he came to the table. Once again I said the flavor was good but I was expecting a red tomato, a bit of red onion (not a humongous slab) and there was absolutely no green basil anywhere. He said there seems to be a problem with plating. Really? So, kudos to Sierra. She was an awesome server. Kudos to the manager who followed up. But it would have been nice to see a bit of a comp--even 10% would have been an "I'm sorry that your plate didn't look like the picture". Because, I only ate a bit of the chicken. Stopped while traveling home from vacation. My friend ordered a chicken dish she couldn't eat due to rubbery texture, perhaps undercooked. She became sick before we left restaurant. The waitress knew her complaint immediately, apparently a common problem. I ate chicken and pasta, but became violently ill once we were on the road again, making for a rough trip home. Out bartender, Miranda, was wonderful. She was clearly super busy and running her tail off on Christmas Eve. We appreciated them being open. We stopped by before our movie for a quick drink and then after for some desert. Saw her both times. Sadly I watched the "manager" Mike Cole, per his name tag, flirt with the girls at the bar and not lift a finger for over an hour. Seriously, he did nothing, standing in the same place in front of the sink for 15 minutes while the bartender and other servers had to wait for a break in his conversations to ask for stock or change. It's rare I write a review like this and I don't think I've ever called someone out by name, but it was disappointing to watch a leader act so carelessly about the success of their company or team. We use to eat at Applebee's a lot when we lived in Michigan , it was always good. --- 7 years ago we moved to East Tennessee. All the Applebee's in Tennessee are terrible. They are filthy, and have terrible food and service. So, since we moved to Tennessee, we have not eaten at an Applebee's. We returned to Michigan for the Thanksgiving holiday and on our way home, stopped to eat at the Applebee's in Corbin, Kentucky. It was absolutely wonderful! So she came up with an alternative option that tasted good at first but about halfway through just got gross. I ordered a Diet Coke and she would bring me anything but Diet Coke as my refill when the manager came back and asked if everything was ok my wife just said sure and I said well not really and he just kept walking. I have been to applebees 2 times this month with guest from out of town.the first was a party of 3.the steaks were under cooked.green beans were rubbery and cold.they had been microwaved.the baked potatoes were so cold the butter would not melt.our wateress Cameron was excellent.our second trip was a party of 4.the service sucked.the wateress Ciara ignored us.the food took almost an hour.might I add there were only 3 other guest in the entire restaurant.the noodles for the classic chicken parmason were cold.the green beans were once gain microwaved and rubbery.we asked for a replacement order of mac and cheese in place of the beans.it aslo had been microwaved.it was horrible.our bill was close to $80.most of the food was left uneaten on the table.i want be returning to this restaurant.the horrible food is un called for.i wish I could give this restaurant an even lower rating. read more

Looks like people here don't know what to expect when they enter an Applebee's... This seems to be the most happening place in town. Like the tip below that didn't like it because it was too loud.
