Even fast food salts their food and after a bad experience at a Wendy's, I had hoped for something more. While the building appears nice, the floor was disgusting on the inside. And the restrooms? Isn't it a law or something to keep restrooms clean every 2 hours? Hire a janitor if it's that bad. I didn't want to say anything to the server, I simply just won't come back! Great food, quick off, quick back on I-75. Excellent service, cute restaurant. We stopped here a couple years ago because it was highly rated on YELP, and had an excellent experience. We were traveling from Cincinnati to Atlanta. When you are traveling interstate highways it is difficult to find food that is not a national or regional restaurant. We love to find good local restaurants when we are traveling. That is not easy. We have eaten at many chain restaurants and I am not complaining. But, if you have been on the road for a while, and you would like to order from in interesting menu, and be waited on by a pleasant person, this just might be a good place for you! My best friend and I were in a girls weekend trip when we stopped here for lunch while on the road. We had excellent service, excellent food, and an excellent experience here! We were seated right away - it was after the lunch rush, so no real crowd to deal with. We decided to order the OTG Wings (boneless) and Fried Cheese. The fried cheese is quite possibly the best I've ever had! They make theirs using queso instead of mozzarella! The wings weren't mostly breaded like you get at other places. Everything was absolutely delicious. My BFF ordered the Queso Burger for her meal while I ordered more of the wings. She said the burger was amazing! We were traveling and did not even get chance to eat here as we waited over 40 minutes and then was told that sitting was on hold so kitchen could catch up. We were told I initially would be 10-15 min. I noticed there was call ahead sitting which is great but they were still sitting these large groups when the kitchen was suppose to be catching up and not sitting other people who had been waiting. Now remember we were told 10 min and it was 30 min. we been patiently waiting. We realize always add 10 to 15 mins to the awaiting time you are told. So I asked how long would it be again and that is when we were told sitting was placed on hold so the kitchen could catch up. THEN a party of 7 came in and was seated, then 15, then another party of 15 was seated. I told the Host it was ridiculous on their organization how in the heck could the kitchen catch up when you just sat 37 people and you have small groups of people who have been waiting. I explained they could have gone ahead and staggered seated people and just explained the situation and gave them drinks and let them decide if they want to stay or not. It was nonsense in sitting large groups when you are trying to get the kitchen caught up. Honestly I think they were more concerned in losing the large party business than the little man. I do not recommend wasting your time in stopping by as you never know when you will be seated and cannot receive the truth. Recommend to the restaurant be straight forward with your customers, seat as they come, if I come before a call in reservation fine but if your too busy, DO NOT accept call ahead seating to be fair to all!!!! ATTENTION: Service animal owners. I came in tonight with my HIGHLY TRAINED service dog. I asked to sit out in the patio and I told the front that I have a working dog with me. The manager was called and told me straight up 'NO, YOU NEED A VEST FOR YOUR DOG'. I offered to show my doctor's letter and all the identification they may need to prove that she's legit working for me even if I don't need to do that. By law, they are not to ask for proof but I did offer anyway. I was sent away. As for everyone know, a service dog vest can be bought on Amazon. Any dog can wear that to pretend. Also, law doesn't require service animals to wear vest or any identification. Period. I can understand if my dog was acting inappropriately for a service dog. But like I said, she's highly trained. She's an ALERT DOG. This never happened to us ever before. We go on planes together. We go everywhere together and we have never had anyone disrespected us. I feel like they discriminated me. We are heading back to Indiana from South Carolina. After driving for hours, we wanted to sit down and have a nice dinner. This was a great decision! I absolutely loved the vibe of this place. You feel like you're walking into a log cabin. We were seated right away. Our server Jordan was friendly and gave great service! We ordered 2 mich ultras, 2 sirloin steaks (I added on the bleu cheese crumble on mine, NO regrets on that decision), with sides of mashed potatoes, mac and cheese, baked potato, fried okra, and I added on a salad (my bark was bigger than my bite). Everything was delicious! I will say that our steaks were supposed to be medium rare, but they were definitely rare. I didn't mind, but my spouse wasn't too fond of it, but didn't want to send it back so that we could get back on the road. We got boxes and he'll cook up his steak when we get home. The bathrooms were super clean. When my spouse was using the bathroom, I had a nice little conversation with the hostess about how this place is family owned and has a few more locations. Ate dinner here for my wife's birthday with the in-laws. Walking into the restaurant it had a lodge feel. At first thought I wasn't looking forward to eating there. The restaurant had a dirty feel to it. The floor was hardwood and was sticky on the bottom of your feet when you walked. Before sitting down I had to use the restroom and it was at that point I kind of lost my appetite. There was urine on the floor around the urinal and you can tell it hadn't been cleaned for most of the previous two hours. There was toilet paper that had been wet that someone had thrown on the ceiling. Was disgusted. As I've become older I have sort of become a germaphobe. I some how managed to return to my seat and stomach it. Our waitress was prompt and kind. We order potato cakes as a starter and they were cooked well and tasted good. I ordered a half rack of ribs with fries and coleslaw. The ribs were meaty and cooked well. Had a great taste. The fries were what you'd expect for fries and the coleslaw was creamy and mixed well. My wife had a sirloin and baked potato with a salad. The salad was fresh and had all the fixins. Her sirloin was cooked perfectly and had a great taste but her potato was under cooked. My father in law had the fried fish and said it was fine and my mother in law had the beef stroganoff and liked it. Our waitress was super nice and was a great. Our drinks never went dry and she took care of us well. She looked clean but also looked like she had a sinus cold. Her nose was red and looked as though the she had just got over a cold. Hope she wasn't sick. I've managed to miss getting sick so far this winter. Food 3*. Cooked well and had good tasted wasn't over the top. Waitress 4*. Ok, let me just start by saying our waitress was wonderful but first we got the gator tail bites and some of the were raw and we got them sent back and they burnt to a crisp and then that wasn't even the worst part we got a steak that was blue in some part and overcooked in others! My daughter recently had a baby and while she was in the hospital she wanted an Old Town Grill cheeseburger and side salad. My son-in-law placed a takeout order and I picked it up. The food was ready at the specified time and pick up was very easy. The order was correct with the exception of no croutons or onions on my daughter's salad ( we put request in special comments section in online order). Four stars instead of five for this reason only. Croutons could cause my daughter a lot of GI issues. Her burger was perfect and toppings were correct (most importantly burger was on a gluten free bun as specified). My son-in-law had a spicy chicken wrap (which he said was the best he's had anywhere)and side salad. I had the side salad. The food was fresh and delicious. Portions were large and salad dressings are homemade. My daughter loves old town grill for its gluten free options. She is gluten intolerant but not celiac so we can't speak to dedicated gluten free options. I had read some of the reviews before we decided to give it a try, and I'm glad we stopped. I FINALLY got the chance to have lunch here. This restaurant has a nice welcoming atmosphere and is always filled with customers. During the warm nights, they have super amazing patio! I ended up trying their catfish and I can't complain in the least! My boss, who is new in town, has even been back since I took him. Now... Unfortunately I have to take some stars away due to an experience my friend and his wife had here. They had gone here on a Saturday night and had ordered their favorite meals. My friend order a steak medium rare and his wife ordered the rocky top chicken. My friend said it took forever to get their food and the waitress was nowhere to be found. Finally a different person brought them their food and left. My friend cut into his steak and noticed immediately that it was undercooked. His wife went to take a bite of her meal and found it to be cold! My friend went ahead and tasted his and decided he could eat it. His wife was waiting for the waitress to come back. My friend finished his meal before the waitress FINALLY came back. So at this point she decided she no longer wanted to eat there and didn't. The manager comped his wife's meal and they left. Hubby is a truck driver and as anyone who spends a kit of time in a truck knows good food with truck accessibility is becoming rare. This makes Old Town Grill an even better find. We live in Tennessee but when hubby ran out of hours this weekend in London, KY I grabbed my dog, hopped in the car and drove to meet him at the truck stop next to OTG. Well, let's just say, he's got a new spot. Lol We arrived during a decent little rush, there were three tables waiting ahead of us but they got us seated rather quickly at a booth in the bar area. Our waitress, Jordan, was on the ball. She kept our glasses full and had food out at the perfect times. Appetizer, followed by hubby's salad and then our entrees. Sound simple, I know, but Texas Roadhouse in London couldn't grasp that concept last night and we ended up with everything on the table at once. We ordered the soft pretzels with cheese dip for an appetizer and let me tell you, these were the best soft pretzels I've ever had. Instead of being coated with tons of salt, they had a Parmesan garlic topping that paired wonderfully with the beer cheese. Hubby ordered the beef stroganoff and I got the "sinful chicken". Once he stirred the stroganoff (the sauce settled a bit in transport to the table) and added a touch of salt it was great! There was a lot more meat in there than it appeared at first glance and he was unable to finish the entire dish. My chicken.. uh yeah, I see where it got it's name. Chicken breast grilled to perfection, topped with spinach, cheese and a Cajun Alfredo sauce. It's not spicy, but added a wonderful flavor that is unlike any chicken I've had anywhere. This sat atop a bed of long grain and wild rice. I also had the potato cakes as a side and yum! They're loaded mashed potatoes made into little cakes and fried and made a great addition to the chicken dish. Despite sitting in the bar section (I believe they call it the lounge) it wasn't overly noisy and service was very quick. The location gave us the opportunity to get a good look at the rest of the restaurant and it's cute! It's got a kind of rustic log cabiny vibe.
