Took my wife out to dinner after a hard day's working in our yard, lots of leaves, in a a rea lot for retirees, so took her to Applebee's resturant, Our waitress Ava S.was very nice, friendly, and smiling, it's very hard choices the menue is got so many choices and different specials. We both had great meals, the waitress kept close tabs on and thing we may need, food was delicious and hard to eat it all, we had a chicken sandwich and I can only describe it by saying the chicken patty is something you world see a Fred Flintstone cartoon, it is "huge" bucket chicken breast but simply delicious. Excellent meal,nice clean surroundings, confortable seating for the size of the meal like every place prices seem fair or or average cost. Was an excellent meal all very nice resturant. I had to create a yelp account to bring this up. I have, for delivery, requested no honey on one of their dishes countless of times. And almost everytime they put honey on it. A few times they didn't and it was great but now it's gotten so bad that they ar putting EXTRA! Honey on it. No i'm not allergic I genuinely hate honey so much it makes me sick to my stomach. So when I orde right always ask for it off and rarely do I actually get it off. But as I said lately they've been putting EXTRA! Positive: The server was very friendly and did a good job of checking on the table. Negative: The food was horrific. The burger was burnt, the bun was toasted to a crisp black, the bacon was burnt, and my fries were more stale. I didn't even realize fries could be stale, but these were. They were room temp, I couldn't eat more than one because they were gross. Overall, out of the 10 different plates, two were good and the other eight were subpar. I left about 75% of my plate. We had a table of 10; half the food came out, and the other half came out about the time the first half had finished eating. read more

Sadly the strawberry chicken salad was horrible. They only used iceberg lettuce and no red onions but the worst part was they paired the salad with a lemon dressing and it just doesn't go with it at all. They need a raspberry vinaigrette. I could hardly eat it. read more

My mom, sister, and I went there last night, 12/17/2023, between 6:30-7:00. My mom ordered the rib dinner. The meat on them were so thin that I think the bones were thicker. They were overcooked and dry. We did not complain but scraped what little meat was on them off. I did not want to make a deal in front of my 90 year old mom. Very, very disappointed. I was in town to visit family and went to one of the only places open later. We hadn't eaten at Applebee's for a long while so it was fun to try it again. Our server was great. Caitlin was all over our table. She was quick and chatty, in a good way. We were very happy with her. The good was a mixed bag. Two in my family got some pasta with fried chicken in a sweet sauce. Neither of them ate it. My son got it without the sauce and they still didn't like it much. Not terrible, but not great. Soupy. Two in my family got cheeseburgers and both loved them. Nothing bad about these large, tasty burgers. We got three sides: pretzels (good, but didn't like the runny cheese,) onion rings (good, and liked the BBQ sauce,) and artichoke dip (ok.) I got a $5 margarita + daiquiri mix. It was sweet and tasted good. But not much on the way of alcohol. Couldn't taste it at all and no effects, if you know what I mean. One thing I missed was a vegetarian option for burgers. Even fast food has them now. Why not here? So overall, the food was below what we hoped. Especially at about $20 per person as our bill came out to. One big bad for me was that as I was washing my hands in the restroom, a busboy came out of the toilet stall and walked quickly past the sink and into the kitchen. Gross. read more

Had lunch on a slow lunch period on a Monday here since it was my day off from the holiday. Our server really wasn't all that welcoming and never once refilled our drinks. My wife had the quesadilla salad which she enjoyed. My chicken quesadilla had to be resent back to the kitchen as the first attempt yielded a half cooked quesadilla with overly soft tortilla. The revised edition was good and had a really crisp bite from a adequately toasted tortilla. Let me just start off by saying our waitress was amazing! So sweet & helpful... You could hear someone in the kitchen just yelling at the workers..so loudly..they needed to come out & yell at the two younger boys with the blonde hair that was shoulder length long. one had it back in a bun or pony tail. these two were very rude. no smile. not helpful. didn't engage with the customers. you could tell they absolutely hated their job. service sucks almost everytime we do go, which is every once in a blue moon. the food is delicious is why we love going. but you can't enjoy your food with rude workers & with someone telling very loudly in the back. read more

I was dinning in this afternoon and overheard a manager telling a young server she was a liar. The manager was awful towards her employee just by the way she talked to this young lady. This young lady promised she would never do anything of the sort and the manager went on with calling her a liar. This young lady was in her late teens early twenties maybe. But this manager spoke to her like she was a toddler. long story later the young lady said she would just leave. People wonder why businesses are short staff, this is why. We enjoy going here because they have a chicken meal that comes out on a skillet and we have never been disappointed. That is till yesterday. My husband got the chicken meal and the chicken was half as thick as it usually is. They must've cooked it with the same instructions as the thicker piece of chicken. It was tough and difficult to chew. Normally he cleans his skillet completely clean. Yesterday he ate everything except half the chicken. What a waste of our money. He just couldn't deal with it anymore. I hope this is not the NEW normal! If it is? We will be finding elsewhere to go. read more

My family and I come here almost every Friday or Saturday. They're always packed and no doubt as to why. The food is awesome and the wonton tacos are my favorite. The staff is awesome especially the waiter Ethan, he knows his job well and does it exceptionally. He kept the drinks coming and kept the table clear of unused dishes and actually corrected an order that we placed before we even noticed the small mistake. We usually sit at the bar but if we can't sit at the bar then we more than likely will wait until we can get seats in Ethan's area. I'm sure all the waiters are just as good as him but when we get a good server we like to stick with him or her. The bartender Monica is awesome too. Anytime we sit at the bar she takes our orders and she pretty much knows ahead of time what I may get. The management (Jerry) that has taken over within the past few years has really turned this place around. It's a lot different than it used to be. read more

I love the Applebee's here in Farmington, so much so that I applied to work there. Granted I didn't get the job because I was hired somewhere else, but man... some days I wish I would've worked both. Anyway. The food is always great, the wait staff is (usually) friendly, and the drinks are worth the wait. And who can be upset when there's half-priced apps in the evening?! I'm a huge fan of the Fiesta Lime Chicken and I've never had a bad plate there. Boneless wings, spinach dip, the all-glorious Wonton Tacos... if it were possible for me to go to Applebee's every day and not ruin my banking account, I would. The service sucks! The managers are lazy and suck. They sit in a booth at the bar and do nothing about the poor service and cold food (if you even eat). This was not the only time. I go there often but for some goddamn reason they cannot make the men's restroom smell any better than the men's restroom at Lowes on the Monday after Superbowl sunday. I've told them repeatedly and it always smell awful. I was there today and it smelled like a baby diaper. I almost vomited my food while in there from the smell. I told the assistant manager and she told me it would be cleaned. Lied her ass off because an hour later I returned and same smell. I took the trash bag out and put it outside the building. A while later I choked on my drink, just went the wrong way down my windpipe. I made my way out the side door to cough and hack outside away from guests and when I get back from what felt like the end of my life the bartender told me I was cut off. After waiting for our server for 10 minutes, the drinks came out wrong. But what was expected when the guy waiting on our table complains in front of the customers that he got sat with customers. He did not even tell us his name. We ordered unsweet tea and got sweet tea. As our drinks sat wrong on our table he walked around chit chatting with the hostess. But chit chat among wait staff was an ongoing thing with a lot of the servers, who sat right where customers were and gossiped loud enough for people to hear. We ordered riblet platter, onion rings and coleslaw. The portions were small, like a kid's meal. I received four small riblets that were tough and not fresh, four small onion rings and one oz. micro bowl of bland coleslaw. I never saw such a small bowl . Went to Applebee's in Farmington Missouri this afternoon around 4. No crowd; maybe three other tables of people. Took several minutes to be seated and then nothing. No waitress, server, anything. I counted at least 6 waitresses standing around talking, playing on their phone, drinking something. Not one of them even walked our way to offer drinks. Finally after staring and pointing at them for 15 minutes, (we were about to walk out), Haley spotted us and came over. She apologized and said she would get us a server. She ended up taking care of us for the rest of our time there and did an excellent job. By the way, she's the bartender. We were at a regular booth. A couple came in next to us and received the same treatment. The woman approached a busboy and asked if she could get service. Five minutes later she left along with her companion. Five minutes later, a girl came up, looking for the couple. My husband told them they had left; she never even acknowledged him, just stormed off. There was no shortage of help in terms of bodies; these girls continued to stand around, laughing and talking instead of working. Never saw a manager or maybe she was one of those girls enjoying the conversations. FOOD WAS EXCELLENT. Thank you, Haley! You deserve a raise for doing the work of six other people. When we left my husband noticed one of the servers walked over to our table, probably looking for her tip. Sorry sweetie, the tip went to the person who gave us excellent service. Coming from a state that had no public smoking in buildings, we came here surprised seeing smoking sections. Now, Applebee's isn't the only place here in Farmington that allows it, but be warned about it. The servers seem too friendly at times and the wait us about the same as other Applebee's. read more
