This restaurant has terrible management and staff that are very unprofessional. You can smell a heavy aroma coming from the kitchen and see staff smoking vapes from the dining rooms. I've stopped at AppleBee's Grill+Bar for many years and throughout the years I've stopped over there they're always had good food. They've always had good service. And they've always had good ambiance. I have friends that work there too which is even better. I recommend going there when you can. Also with it being right off the highway is even more convenient for the most part. read more

Honestly, this was the worst restaurant I've been to for the past month. The food was so dry, the burgers had no taste. We had the worst service experience, she forgot our order and we found some type of bug in our wings. She just threw the food onto the table and whenever we asked her for something she gave us a dirty look. My two sons and I just left Applebee's in Florence, AL. It was an absolute horrible experience. When we arrived there were four (4) cars in the parking lot. As we stepped out of our car, two of the other cars left so, that left us and one (1) other car. As we walked in to the almost completely empty restaurant, we were met at the door by a lady who told us we couldn't enter the building without a mask. I explained to her we can't eat with a mask on and there are empty tables everywhere. We could easily walk to a table and maintain six (6) feet distance. In fact, if we are seated properly, we would be more than twenty (20) feet from anyone. However, that was irrelevant so, we were not allowed to enter. The three (3) of us went back to the car and ordered "to-go" plates. While we were sitting in the car waiting, the family of the only other car in the lot came out. It was two (2) young ladies in there early twenties (20s) / late teens, a child around six (6) and a man who was probably in his forties (40s). Only one (1) of the young ladies was wearing a mask over her nose and mouth. The other lady had her mask under her chin, the little girl wasn't wearing one at all and the older gentleman had his hanging on his ear. The two (2) young ladies got in the car. The man and the little girl came to the car, turned around and walked back inside. I watched the man through the windows. He walked in through the building, turned around and came right back out. At no time did he put his mask on. I voiced my concerned to the lady who brought out our food. She just said, "Umm, have a good evening." So, I called the manager. Once I explained the event to her, she told me the family had their mask on when they came in and that's all they require. That's when I put her on speaker phone for my children to hear. Once again I stepped through the events. The manager told me all that is required is for people to wear their mask to the table. Once they are seated, they can remove their mask. When I asked about moving around in the building, going to the bathroom or wearing a mask when they leave, she repeated herself and said, "All that is required is a person is to wear a mask when they enter the building." When I mentioned the man coming outside, turning around, going back inside, walking around and then back out without putting his mask on, she repeated the "all that is required" statement. In short, you can't enter an empty Applebee's without a mask however, once you walk through the door, you can walk around all you want. In fact, you can walk out and back in if you want, as long as you wear a mask the first time. read more

I think there is a reason I haven't been to an Applebee's in a number of years. The boneless wings on the happy hour special were pretty good. Freshly prepared, with good flavor and surprisingly an ample portion. That's where the positive aspect of the experience ends. Extremely slow service despite the restaurant being maybe 25% occupied all night. The advertised pitcher special was unavailable because according to the server there were no pitchers to fill. The beer selection extremely limited as well... bud light, ultra, miller lite, hi life and a seasonal Sam Adams. I elected for the Sam Adams after a flat ultra. I ordered a burger special. My choice allegedly had a fried egg and hash browns atop the burger that was cooked with bacon and onion. What I received was the greasiest burger imaginable with scrambled eggs on top. I didn't even attempt a bite as its appearance was so unappealing. It was as though grease was ladled on top of the mess inside of the bun. A manager asked if I wanted them to remake the burger and I declined. I further said I would wait till after the game and get food elsewhere, to which she gave an approving nod. Had this place not been walking distance to my hotel I wouldn't have ever come in. I came to out of convenience with coworkers to watch the National Championship game. I was in town during training over the weekend. This place was really busy and on a wait. I was alone and there was a wait so I ate at the bar. The servers was nice and engaging. I came to Applebee's with low expectations but was pleasantly surprised. My boyfriend and I did the 2 for 25 deal. We shared the spinach and artichoke dip for our appetizer. It can out very fast and was hot which surprised me because we came at an unusual time (3:30). Our food arrived quickly after. I ordered the 4 cheese mac with the honey chicken tenders, it was very hot and yummy. My pasta came with a random garlic breadstick, that seemed weird to me. My only complaint is that some of the noodles were... stale? My boyfriend ordered the ribs with mashed potatoes and mac and cheese. He liked the sauce but thought the ribs were skimpy. My husband and I went to Applebee's to celebrate both our birthdays on October 30th. We were greeted at the door, promptly welcomed by the hostess and immediately seated. Our waitress was knowledgeable and very pleasant. We were undecided on our selection so she gave us time to decide. The meal was served shortly. My husband loved his steak and roasted veggies. I ordered the Thai Salad. Everything was wonderful. Customer service was impeccable. Not just some of the service but all. We even had a waitress that was cleaning a table ask that we wait so she could open the door when we were leaving. Our experience is not one that is ordinary but extraordinary. What can I say. Experience is quite mixed. First time I eat here, my wife's meal was inedible. The entire portion was left on the plate the entire time. The waiter wasn't interested even when she mentioned how horrible it was. Although my T-Bone steak was good, there's no excuse for sticking a customer with a bad meal, which is what they did. When a waiter takes away an uneaten meal, there should have been a clue. Never was she offered any other options, just a ticket that reflected full price. My mother, my children and I ate at Applebee's tonight and we really enjoyed the meal. The air conditioning was out so it was warm, but the service was very good and the food was very good. My children ate from the children's menu and I was very surprised at the servings and the quality of the food. Everything was tasty, the mozzarella sticks, grilled chicken breast with parm sauce, chopped grilled chicken macaroni and cheese and yogurt with strawberries. My mother and I had the fiesta chicken dish and another grilled chicken dish that was a low calorie meal with diced apples over rice and quinoa: we enjoyed each, but although they prepared the chicken well, the quinoa and rice that came with the weight watcher meal was a little chewy. The side salads were huge and enjoyable and the hot bacon vinaigrette was delicious. My picky 5 year old loved it too. read more
