We went to Applebees for the current $15.00 bottomless wings special and although the first round of bites was plentiful and delicious, all subsequent plates were delivered to our table in the most precarious manner. The number of wings decreased with each plate, the servers took way too long delivering the food to our table, and the ribs that my husband ordered looked pitiful and poorly plated. He was also disappointed to find that the shrimp dish that our server recommended was bland and unseasoned. The waiters also kept forgetting to put in our orders of fries so we were forced to wait an additional 20 minutes for the sides. The original promo claims that all entrees will be accompanied by an unlimited amount of fries but the actual experience of the meal proved otherwise. It should also be noted that the servers seemed to be confused about the status of our meals--at one point, our waiter asked us if our food had arrived yet! That said, when the food did arrive, we really enjoyed the crispy fries and the garlic parmesean wings. The riblets weren't too bad but the fried shrimp was unremarkable. All in all, unfortunately the value of the promo does not justify the wait time and lack of quality control. We were almost there for three hours due to the long wait time. My husband wanted to eat more but he didn't want to wait another 20 minutes for the next round of wings and fries. read more

The service was amazing! Our waitress was friendly & made us feel welcome. The steak was good and cooked correctly, mashed potatoes were undercooked and hard but the onion rings were crunchy and delicious. The quesadilla explosion salad was big and delicious. Happy hour for $3 margaritas was a nice surprise, cannot beat this price anywhere in town! The spinach artichoke dip was good. The place was very clean. So it's A Friday night date nite for me and my baby.. we drove to Lafayette With the intention of dinner and a movie !! Which is about a 45-50 min drive for us After a hard day in the work world. I asked my girl where she would like to have a quick dinner before movie time .. as some of you know Lafayette la isn't the best place to drive around on a Friday. But hey it's the weekend !! Back to the dinner question My wife said she wanted Applebees grill and bar . So we found our way there in Somewhat of a hurry and pressed for time We found a parking spot and with a smile on our faces we walked to the door. Of course o opened the door for her ..! A young hostess first caught my eye. I noticed she wasn't having such a good evening. But she was polite and friendly I glanced around their were at least 12-15 available tables or booths And. I thought wow this is luck for us quick meal and out of there ... well she looked at us and asked how many I politely said 2 Then again she politely said this I'm sorry sir. There will be a 15 -20 min wait for a table. Now I'm a little slow but I know I'm looking at several empty seats and table . So I asked why would I have to wait to be seated With so many spots to sit were available (Her response on a Friday night was and I quote. ). Well we only have one server and one cook tonight !!! On a weekend night what should be their best night of the week ..! I held my breath. And actually counted to 10 .. before I told her politely that I could make her night easier. . Wish I could say I was nice but no . Don't open the damn door if you can't cook and serve the public .. I'm sorry but if I had eaten and accidentally have forgot my wallet to pay would they not be pissed off ? Needless to say now I'm sitting in the grand theater. For 45 min in limbo waiting on a movie I sure hope I'm not disappointed again Applebees just one star I know my money didn't matter to them in the big picture but hey I splurged and bought my wife a big bucket of popcorn and a soda along with some skittles . The drinks were garbage and so was the manager's response. I told my server my long island iced tea taste like sour mix and water i didn't taste any alcohol. So he had the drink re-made with top shelf liquor. Got that one back and it tasted the same as the other. Then the manager walked over and asked could he help. I asked him for a different drink cause this was my second and it didn't taste like it even had alcohol in it. He told me he couldn't take it back. And if I wanted a different drink I had to pay for that one as well. Then he said they don't make drinks so you could taste the alcohol. But they put a lot of alcohol in the drink. I told he I don't see how cause mine wouldn't get a fly drunk or even tipsy. Not to mention they had no carbonation for beer, soda or any drink requiring fizz. The server was mediocre and he acted like he had ADHD. My wife gave he drink order and before I could give mine he was gone. Brought my wife's drink and I had to wait another 10m+ for him to return with mine. My steak was good but my garlic mashed potatoes looked and tasted like they came from a box. My wife order a full rack of ribs and they were dry. So she asked for a small cup of the glaze they were glazed with and they charged us a $1.39 for the small cup of glaze for there dry ribs. Last night my friend group went to eat at this Applebee's and the food was horrible. Either the portions were too small or the food had absolutely no flavor or seasoning. Also, $1 dollar margaritas. So its been years since I've eaten here just because I am never on this side of town but today I was in the area and wanted a quick bite to eat after shopping. They revamped the menu and atmosphere completely. I stopped here to eat with my mom and I'm so glad we did! We got the chips and queso dip and that was delicious!! There are so many wonderful choices on the menu that made it hard to pick. After going back and forth, I decided to try the Chicken Wonton Stir Fry & it was absolutely amazing! The food came out fast, hot, delicious and so filling. I cant wait to come back here soon and try more delicious items on the menu. We decided to try Applebee's on Johnston St. one last time before I put it on my list of restaurants I will never go back to. It was worse than the time before, and the time before that. We ordered the combo appetizer, and were planning on ordering lunch if our waiter ever came back to take our order. Never did. There were only about 5 other people in the whole restaurant at 11:30 am. The combo appetizer had store-bought Tostidos for chips (manager said they were because they ran out of regular chips), lukewarm boneless wings, pink juice with chunks of tomato for salsa, and..... no plates with the appetizer for a family of 4, and server disappeared after he dropped the "food" off. Server never returned. I had to get the hostess to bring our check after my wife and kids had a few bites. We wasted nearly 45 mins of our day in there. Portions have shrunk considerably, too. We paid for our appetizer and drinks, then left to go somewhere else. I do not recommend them anymore. read more

Me and friends went here to this AppleBee to pregame before going to a Popeyes chicken buffet , informed by friends that there's $1 Long Island Iced Tea(LIT) special at the AppleBee. When we arrived to the location our friends are already here , the waitress immediately came by , she is very nice and very attentive. She often comes back asking us if we need anything refills or need another Long Island . We also ordered mozzarella sticks and chips and salsa just so we can also make it to Popeye chicken buffet. And the sad excuse for a "top shelf" long island, it was completely watered down and i could taste the fact one perk of being a former bartender. I was not pleased with my visit to Applebees on Saturday. My girlfriend and I got there at 12:30 am on the dot to be greeted by locked doors and a waitress whom was cleaning the tables and just gawked at us when we tried to open the door before returning to table cleaning. I wasn't pleased at all so I called the restaurant up and asked why are they locked up when it's only 12:30. I was greeted on the phone by an employee named Ashley who was full of attitude and barked "WE'RE CLOSED" . I asked to speak to a manager and spoke to a guy named Daryl who was acting as if he was oblivious to the fact that both front doors were locked. He said "o no, that's just the car-side to go that's closed; the doors are locked?! Really?" "I'll have them open it up for you all"; to which I replied, no, that's okay, we're already on the road.
