Went to the Breaux Bridge location last night for comedy night. Ordered a draft Mic Ultra and told the waitress i wanted to do the 2 for 1 special which is in affect 7 days a week open to close. The waitress said they no longer do the 2 for 1 drafts. I asked how much my draft costs and she said it was $6.50 FOR A DRAFT BEER ! ! ! Are you kidding me ? ? $6.50 for draft ? ? Horrible pop country remains purposely playing on stereo. One bartender has her kid at work. The other one watches videos on her phone with audio on. Barely any chili on coney dog. This Fat Pat's is so poorly managed and it starts at the top so nothing is going to change. Mustard container was disgusting and needed to be cleaned. Came here to the Westmark location to try the "Peanut Butter Bacon Burger". I must say I'm not a fan of the peanut butter on the burger. Doesn't make me wanna rant & rave about it, but it isn't disgusting. The fries were fresh and well-seasoned. Others in my party said the following of their orders... Loaded Nachos were ok. We are regular patrons of Fat Pats. My husband even takes out of town colleagues when they come into town. He is going to change that practice after today. Wait staff very friendly. But they were under staffed. Our server had the whole dining area and was very busy. Food however , sub par. Ultimate Nachos seemed microwaved and turned to rubber . Not very hot and soggy. PeanutButter Burger very very well done. Partially burnt. Sweet potato fries were burnt and barely edible. Again. Not very hot. So, I've been here a few times and I'm not overly impressed with the burgers. I know, I know. Everyone raves about the burgers here but there are better burgers in Lafayette. I find Fat Pat's too dry and they are only cooked well. Huh? Does not compute. That being said, this place is definitely worth checking out. The grilled shrimp sandwich is the best! The shrimp are cooked perfectly and seasoned to perfection. Get it fully dressed and add an extra side of their special sauce. Pay extra for sweet potato fries if you like them and boom. You've just had your life made. I've had the grilled shrimp wrap, too, but honestly the sandwich is so much better and I think it has something to do with that bun. MY GOODNESS that bun y'all. I believe it's made in house (and if it's not I want your source Pat). It's soft and sweet like a Hawaiian roll and makes the shrimp sandwich. Service is friendly and laid back. I've mainly ordered from Fat Pats delivery menu but I have yet to be disappointed. Their BLT is stuffed with bacon, more than I've ever seen outside of my own kitchen. They also put a special sauce on it not just mayo, that mixes with the bacon and creates a sensation in your mouth. I've also tried the Shrimp Ceasar Wrap that was also a taste winner with me. I can't testify as to the wait staff or restaurant ambience but if you want a meal with amazing food Fat Pats is where you want to go read more

I went to eat at this new location last night, and it was a great experience. I walked into the restaurant section of the eatery and was immediately greeted by a massive amount of tv's broadcasting the sporting event of the night, but don't let that be deceiving. This place was clean, well lit, and not too loud (to my surprise). I think having the bar sectioned off from the main restaurant aided these factors greatly. Although the food took a little longer than usual to be brought out, the burger I ordered was great! I decided to be adventurous and try the "Peanut Butter Bacon Burger." It was an interesting call, but I enjoyed it. The home-made buns were amazing, and the patty itself was tasty and well-cooked for a restaurant burger. The menu has a wide variety of burgers, but also plenty of other options. Fat Pat's also serves hot dogs, wraps, salads, sandwiches, and plenty of appetizers. Overall, this is a fresh new restaurant. This is one of those restaurants that is hard for me to rate. If I were simply ranking the food, it would be an out-of-the-park 5 star. Their burgers are amazing! Anytime someone asks me where the best burger in Lafayette is, I say "Fat Pat's, hands down." The peanut butter bacon burger has probably contributed to at least one of my two love handles. This thing is HUGE as are all of their other selections. The hotdogs, which are on special every Sunday night, are delicious as well. Overall, the restaurant is great value for the money. If you're a drinker, they have frequent specials and 2 for 1 beer and margaritas. Also, on game day, there is a new special every time the home team scores, which can lead to some fun times! Definitely a great game day spot. I said that if it were for the food, it would be a 5-star rating, but I can only give 4 stars on this one based on service. The servers, who by now have probably all waited on me at one point or another, are all very hit or miss. The service is either exception, or terrible. This is not an anomaly, as I have probably been to this location more than two dozen times. There have been occasions, even when busy, that our drinks have never gone empty, and received attentive service. Yet, there are other times where the restaurant can be crawling and we only see our waitress to take our order and to bring our check. I'm not hard to please, but this is my only complaint. All in all, this is my go-to burger joint, despite occasionally lacking service. So that says something for the food! read more

This was my first stop in Lafayette, no joke, I drove from San Antonio to Lafayette and my friends lead me to this place to grab a late bite to eat and to catch up with each other being that it had been a few months since my friends returned to Lafayette after living in San Antonio for a few years. The waitress knew right away that I wasn't from there and told me that I'd have to excuse "us Coon Asses" I guess thats what the local's call each other! It made me laugh and the local's I was with didn't seem to take offense so I was like cool! I believe I had something called a Festival Burger, I thought it was really tasty and huge, I couldn't finish it. The Beer was two for one; I tried a local beer, though now I can't remember the name of it. All said and done, if given the opportunity I would go back here and watch a game or have a beer with friends. I tried this burger joint out based on a friend's advice. Great fried pickles and ok draft selection. The ranch chicken sandwich is fair to good - a little heavy on the sauce so I recommend getting it on the side. The servers were pleasant and checked in frequently. Now for what can improve... The layout - it's a fairly loud sports bar where the 1st challenge is finding the unmarked entrance. If a tv in every booth works for you this is your joint! The menu: a fairly extensive selection of appetizers, hot sandwiches, burgers and dogs. If you don't care for Nathan's dogs or pork with peppers 3 ways, then your choices drop fast. I went for the Fat Boy burger, a signature item recommended. The burger: my first warning should have been "it only comes well done." No changes allowed - but I needed a burger. Instead I received 14 oz of chewy rawhide with enough black pepper to choke a horse. There were other spices and I would have enjoyed those but the black pepper made the meal unpalatable. Ironically the companion onion rings were completely devoid of seasoning. Normally this would be a 1 star meal for me but I'm giving credit for dropping the burger off my tab and really good fried pickles. I see why everytime when they give you a receipt, there's no charges on there, ah ha this is where they trick you, if this happened to you don't feel bad they probably done this for years. So I asked the waitress that I wanted the receipt with the charges on it. So little did I know they charge me 1.25 for 6 to-go boxes. I kindly asked her why do the owner do this, she was speechless.
