The dishes were amazingly clean and the kitchen staff is impeccable. I go there multiple times every week.

Had the lunch cheeseburger special. The burger was juicy and good. I was glad the cheese was melted on the burger. The fries were hot and good. Most staff had flat affects, but were not rude. The decor was a little tired. All the diners were enjoying their lunches. The parking lot is beside the building and you have to walk around front to enter. Pick up is on the side. read more

my friends and i had shown up to get drinks and food, our appetizer the boneless wings were cold had to send back. we had all gotten the new holiday margaritas had finished them and then they had asked for IDs after the fact we had already drank and ordered round 2 they took my friends drink away because she didnt have her ID mind you we had already had one drink each. as well as we are all 21+ . they gave us the wrong reciepts we had gotten the 2 for 25 and was 4 but now 3 drinks which the total came out to over 65$!!! the drinks were only 6$ each make it make sense!!! waitress kept a smile on her face but the service was still horrible read more

I usually do not provide reviews. However, this was the worst carryout food that I have ever experienced. The service was not good. I had to go into the building to pick up my curb side order. The restaurant was dark but, appeared clean. I am most disappointed in the appearance and tast of the food. Everything looked and tasted greasy. I have always enjoyed this particular location. Restaurant was clean, we were seated right away on a Friday afternoon and waitperson was fairly prompt. We got boneless chicken nuggets and riblet dinner with fries and slaw. Everything tasted fine but (disregarding the slaw) nothing, I mean nothing came out hot. Everything appeared to be well cooked but it all came to our table lukewarm or cool. Ordered bourbon street steak when it was delivered to table it was accidentally dumped in floor beside our table .after it lay on the floor for 20 min my wife complained to the manager and they finally cleaned it up . After another 20 min they delivered Chicken and shrimp. I asked why they brought me Chicken and shrimp when I ordered a steak and the response was that was the meal they comp. The absolute worst restaurant experience of ALL time! Waiting 20 minutes for the "curbside" which was actually "come in and wait to get your food yourself service!" Waited, waited and waited only for another patron to walk in and receive courteous service. Finally a waitress emerges from the kitchen and asks if I was waiting for an order‍ She finally returned w my order, handed it off to me and immediately walked off. I asked about the sauce that was missing, waitress walks back to kitchen. Looks back into the computer and demands $.50, yes 50 stinking cents for sauce that should have been included. Pretty terrible service, even from the manager. We ordered a queso and chips and the queso was not plain. I don't eat meat, so I asked if the queso was vegetarian. She responded she didn't know. I waited a second for her to follow up but she didn't, so I asked if she could check for me. We had a few interactions like that were disappointing. They shut off the booths from service almost three hours before they were scheduled to close. The restaurant itself wasn't clean and had an odor. This place was amazing. I only had 30 min to get in and out. Management and staff were excellent. The bar tender was great! He told us what would be quick and made sure we got our food in ten minutes. The food was hot and very tasty. I highly recommend this Applebee's. read more

Customer service is a thing of the past. And then a single person going to a restaurant is almost impossible anymore. You're not recognized because you are just by yourself and that means a smaller tip for the server. When in fact. Most single people tip larger I've seen party of 10 or more even here not tip. To start off we Love Applebee's. Lots of times our go to place when traveling. We walked into this one and the hostess (Mikala) asked if we wanted to be seated near the bar. We told her we preferred a booth away from the bar. Several boots were available but she was making excuses why we couldn't sit there but finally seated us. A man and his children came in after us and he was immediately sat in the booth behind us. Today we were doing some shopping and thought we'd have fun and grab some drinks and dinner while out, so we tried this Applebee's. It has serious issues. We sat at two different tables, and both were crusted with old food, and the tabletop displays of drinks were also covered in crud. They hadn't been cleaned in ages. Even more, at our second table, we sat across from a table that was filthy with trash on the floor, and no one, not manager, waiter, or host, would pick it up. Also, the back of our booth was stacked with condiments and old drinks. We tried to make the best of it, but the service was horrible. The waiter has this awkward manner of staring blankly at you while taking your order, and didn't know how to open a conversation, eg, "May I prepare some drinks for you while you review our menu?". Finally the food. The quality is deteriorating. It had been three years since we ate at Applebee's last, and though the food was never great, it was a good place for some drinks and food. Not now. My wife's steak was nearly raw. She ordered it medium rare, and got black and blue. Also, the meat was terribly freezer burned. I ordered chicken and shrimp with peppers and onions. The chicken was so chemically marinated, that it was rubbery and tasted of chicken flavoring, not chicken. The onions and peppers were drenched in oil, and the shrimp were little rubber erasers. We used to come here for drinks, and my wife's favorite was the mudslide with the chocolate swirls on the glass. Not this time. Here drink arrived with the chocolate dumped one spot and the bottom of the glass, and there was no discernible flavor of alcohol. It was just a milkshake. Overall, it wasn't worth the money at all, even if they charged me only half of what I payed. I've had better food and cleaner tables at roadside taco trucks. read more

The door states open till 11:00 on Thanksgiving. We got to the host stand at 10:20 and was told "we are closing at 10:30." We politely said "Oh sorry.. The door states the hours for the holidays, and it said 11:00 today." So we were told we could place a to-go order if we wanted. There are so many great places to eat in this area. It being the only place open should be the only reason you choose to eat here. read more

The $1 marg was the biggest ripoff they ever thought up. It was basically like Gatorade. Everything was overpriced, and the server cared very little about us or our experience. Eat somewhere else... Walked in, there were more employees than customers. Employees see me walk in, they ignore me. Finally a young man asks me if I need any help...told him I was waiting to be seated. He tells me this is the back entrance and that I would have to walk 15 feet to my left to get seated. He looks at me like I'm from another planet. I try not to react to it, but I do. The look he gives me and his attitude towards me makes me boil. I want to leave...but I can't because I'm meeting someone there. I'm annoyed and my date knows it, not a good look for me. we finally get seated. It took way too long for them to bring our drinks. I mean we were practically the only ones there. My date couldn't get a freaking baked potato because they don't make that til 5pm. Come on now.....her supposed potato soup looked more like mashed potato with a few bacon bits sprinkled in. My food was okay. As I listen to my date talking, I look around and observe my surroundings. The place is dirty. The cloth on the backs of the booths are saturated with old stains for who knows how long. The place wasn't just dirty, it was nasty. And I was still annoyed with the pissant that was giving me an attitude for coming in through the wrong entrance. Apparently the customer is not always right at this applebee's location. Anyway our server Jada was very sweet and polite and positive. She was the only saving grace. We have been here many times over the years and always say I will not be back. Our waitress informed us she was due to be off but because we came in she had to stay. It was 4 in the afternoon. She ended up leaving and another waitress started helping us. We couldn't get refills. The music was so very loud you could hardly talk. Segregation is alive and well here in Madison Ms at Applebee's....why are all the blacks on one side of the restaurant while the whites are seated on the other....when my sister and I asked to be seated not in the back by the bathroom i was met with much attitude and disrespect not only by the hostess the waitress BUT the manager REALLY ???? We've just finished eating here. My cheeseburger was poor--overcooked, and the fries were cold and hard. My companion even sent her fries back--the same reason. The server was very nice, however. If I could rate this restaurant based on our last visit it would be a ZERO. The waitress acted like we weren't there. They messed up my child's meal twice then overlooked mine and my husbands steaks. It took 20 minutes to get our remade steak brought back and the manager made excuse after excuse and didn't even offer a discount or anything in return for our terrible 3 hour experience. When we finally got our check it was incorrect. They charged us $70 when our actual order should have only been $30. We finally got it fixed and tried to use our military discount. The waitress said she would add it but ran our card without applying the discount. This is the last time I'm going there for a while. The first time I came to this Applebee's I had a mediocre experience, but decided to try again with some friends. I ordered a chicken quesadilla appetizer, as I was not that hungry and it was okay. It was burnt on both ends, but other than that it was okay. I asked for some extra salsa and it took the lady over 15 minutes to return with not salsa, but marinara. Then I asked my server for more salsa and she brought me some. It went down from there. When I asked for the check, I had been charged for the marinara sauce. It then took another 15 minutes to get it removed and for me to check out. The other members of my party also had issues with their orders. One person ordered margarita and it took over 45 minutes to arrive and then it was not made correctly. Bad from the beginning. My wife and two kids walked in and had to wait for a few minutes for a hostess to greet us. Once she led us to our table, she walked off, not noticing the baby I was holding and not offering us a high chair or booster seat. While ordering our food our waiter was very quiet and not attentive at all. I ordered the quesadilla burger and received the whiskey bacon burger instead. My wife and I also had empty drinks half of our time in we were there. Also there is a tablet in the middle of the table with games for kids. My son started playing on it like any kid would. At the end of the dinner when I went to pay I saw a charge for 1.99 on our bill. There was no visible warnings on the home screen to notify we would be charged for this game. Don't waste your time at this restaurant. I'd rate this place with a zero, but that is not an option. The service is non-existent. My wife and I ordered dinner there...she ordered grilled chicken with two sides and I only ordered a bowl of French Onion Soup. My soup was supposed to come with her dinner, but I got it about 10 minutes earlier. I sent the soup back to the kitchen because I ordered a bowl, not a cup. What they served was a cup with only about a half-inch of soup in the bowl. The waiter re-ordered a bowl, which I never got. A little while after he re-ordered my soup, my wife's dinner was served. That's when we ordered a take-out order of Ribs. After waiting in the restaurant for an hour and fifteen minutes, I added up what we'd been served, which came to $17.29 (including a Sprite and a Tea). I dropped a $20 on the table, we put on our coats and walked out. Apparently the family that walked out with us noticed our displeasure...he also commented about how terrible the service was and we both agreed we'd never be back to this restaurant. They don't deserve to stay in business!!!!!!!!!!!!! BTW, the Manager followed us out and asked if there was anything he could do. I explained our problems and asked him if he'd seen the Yelp reviews on his restaurant. At first he said he had not, but when I told him they were all "Ones" he lowered his head. Can I give this NO STARS... Went on a Sunday afternoon. Wife and myself went to the bar. 2 Bartenders behind bar gum-bumping. Dirty glasses/mugs at several stools along the bar. Plates of half eaten food all around..... left from people that clearly had been gone a while. Crumbs and spills around the bar as well as on the floor. Bartender walked over and asked can I help... I said, start by cleaning this joint and we promptly left. I've always loved Applebee's but you've got to pay attention as it's not acceptable to eat in an unclean, messy environment. read more
