I've always wanted to try Mugshots and I wish I hadn't. Inside is typical sports bar theme to me. Clean but just reminds me of an Applebee's. Service was ok. To say I had to wait for my server to come to my table and then wait a while on my food, I expected my burger to be hot, but it wasn't. Ordered the Texan Burger. If it had been warmer/hotter, it would have been good. Because my server didn't come back to check on me, I wasn't able to send it back. The sweet potatoe waffles fries were also cold. Where do I begin..take a jacket learned that the locals do this. Luckily I wore a sweater since my husband keeps it cold on road trips. The place is neat and friendly but the mediocre food and ice cold AC inside is not worth it. Dropped $120 dollars for 4 entrees without drinks. My husband went outside three times because of the ice cold AC ! The waitress was friendly and prompt. Save your money and go to Wendy's, McDonald's or Cracker Barrel. Just passing through and had a local tell us to stop in here. I wish I could give ratings for different parts of the experience. Our server was awesome, very attentive and on point. I do think the bar was not bringing him the drinks we were ordering in a timely fashion which unfortunately became a topic of conversation. We are some Texas boys and have high regards for a great burger. I got the Texan burger obviously. It was great. The bun was awesome and the patty and toppings were solid. The fries were better than run of the mill fries but not a super top for me. My bud got the rajun Cajun pasta and the chicken was a little dry but overall favors were pretty good. Drinks were strong and good just slow. Ambiance was nice, pretty normal bar and grill stuff. Nice Burger but would think more fries are needed here. They have banners for "Best Burger in Mississippi" 2007-2018... Guess they went downhill because I wouldn't vote em top. Stu's Mushroom Burger looked good upon delivery but there is a lack of fries to ho with it. Burger Bun is sweet softness with some flavorness. The thick burger patty was cooked well done so the juice was loose. Ran away and escaped. Shrroms with Swiss needed some spice because Spice is Nice. Overall the is just a good burger and fries. We generally like Mugshots but we went there on Valentines Day and they were understandably very busy. I ordered the Philly Steak Pasta and was very disappointed. It was just hamburger meat in a sauce mixed in rigatoni. It was cold,I mean cold. Could have gotten better Hamburger Helper cause that's all it was. We stopped by this establishment as we were staying at a nearby hotel. They had a15-20 minute wait on a Friday night as the place was hopping. The restaurant has a large seating area with plenty of tables as well as bar seating. The service was quick and the burgers came out super fast. Despite two of our burgers being prepared incorrectly, the food was rather tasty. I opted for the don't be jelly burger and it was excellent. With pepper jack and jelly on a burger, you can't go wrong and then add the bacon and put it on sourdough bread and you have a match made in heaven. Highly recommend this burger. My daughter had the summer stack and loved the crispy fries jalapeños and ranch that came on her burger. My husband had the A1 steak burger and really liked it as well. The queso dip was super creamy and thick with the added meat and seasonings it had a perfect kick. I would recommend that you give them a try if you are ever in the area. read more

I ordered the Stu's Magic Mushroom Burger. Was not asked how I would like it cooked. Our order came out pretty fast and my husband remarked, were the burgers pre cooked? We were told no it's just slow. Well my burger was dry, it only had one very thin slice of Swiss cheese and it could have been more mushrooms. We had a late Saturday lunch or maybe a super early dinner. A burger was ordered but not asked to what temperature we would like the beef cooked. Guess what it was dry and could have been used as a hockey puck. Next was the fried crispy chicken salad. Nothing at all was crispy about the chicken, flavor was OK! But the chicken tasted and looked it was fried the day before and reheated for the salad. Next was the wings, the wings were a good size and fried crisp. Seems like they play the wings and drizzle sauce on instead of tossing the wings in sauce. Our waitress the whole time seemed in a hurry instead of asking if we would like anything else she kept bringing the bill. We made no complaints while there but seemed to be rushed out. She would bring the bill and we waiting to order another drink from the bar. Two drinks from the bar was ordered for one person. It's not like anybody had too much to drink. My turkey burger was fine, which is an improvement from last time I ordered one. My husband had ordered a smash burger and Mac & cheese and he said they were fine. The wife and stopped in at this mugshots location due to our car needing repair on our way back to San Antonio. So glad we decided to walk to this place from our hotel. The waitress was the star of our visit! She made us feel so welcomed and helped us decide what we were going to eat. She knew everything on the menu and explained it in detail. I really appreciated her energy and love for her job and the restaurant. The burgers were exactly as she described and tasted phenomenal!!! They have very large portions, you will definitely not leave hungry and most likely go home with left overs read more

I went here after my experience with the Mugshot in Tupelo, MS. I was expecting fresh off the grill food. i'm not against microwaved or reheated food, I'm not against it I'm not better or too good for it I just didn't expect that from this place. But I ordered a mushroom burger a side of fries and an extra side of fries and then their shrimp pasta. Everything was reheated I don't even think the patty on the burger was fresh off the grill. Pretty ridiculous if you might ask and it wasn't even busy when I was there it was like maybe one or two maybe three people in the restaurant when I came they weren't busy with customers yet they still thought whoever was working the kitchen thought yeah let me just reheat this guy's items. I don't know it's kind of annoying I don't go to a restaurant for reheated items I go to a restaurant for hot fresh as fresh as reasonable if you catch my drift food. I still ate the food it wasn't horrible but is it too much to ask for you know get ground beef to be thrown onto a grill formed into a patty cooked and then slapped onto a burger and then served? Is that too hard to do is it super difficult for a restaurant to do something as simple as that? Ridiculous. I still ate the food but whatever I'm never going again. So, I opted for fried pickles, to start. On the salty side but, they're good none the less. Based on server recommendation, I went with the Sovell (bacon & cheddar) to keep it simple. Now, I'm easy-ish.... No mayo, no tomato, and medium-medium rare. Tonight, the kitchen missed the mark on the temp (medium request. prepared well done) and a pretty tomato slide in the middle. Besides the kitchen error, the flavor was good. The bun is unique and makes for a great flavor profile. Don't skip the onion rings!! The food was good. The server was nice but didn't pay attention and got the order wrong. I asked for jalapeños and grilled onions as extra on the side and the amount was about the size of 2 ketchup packets. Really skimpy. I asked for everything that came on the burger + the jalapeño and grilled onions. The skimpy extras were totaled twice, but there were no pickles or red onions, which were on the burger. I asked for them twice and only got the pickles. I never got the original red onions. It was good food and the server was nice, but I won't go back there, because of the way they skimped on extras, (which I paid for 3 extras and only got 2) and not paying attention to what I asked for. read more
