9pm on a on Friday, and they were not busy. It was kind of nice. The atmosphere was welcoming and inviting. Our bartender was on here game. We had ordered appetizers, and without hesitation, she informed us that they would be half price in 15 min. Thank you. She didn't have to do that. That is service. That is looking out for the guest. This past Sunday my family and I and some relatives went here for dinner after church. There were 10 of us, and being only 11:30am there were literally only 5 customers in the building. The workers, 1 guy greeter, 1 girl working the bar, and 2 other waiters were standing around doing absolutely nothing. When my wife told the greeter there were 10 of us in the party, he said he had to check. He went to the 2 that were standing by the kitchen and told them how many. The girl at the bar instantly said, very loud and very rude, "I'm not waiting on them!" One of the two by the kitchen said what time it was and she repeated again rudely: "I don't care what time it is, I'm not waiting on them!" One of the guys that was standing by the kitchen said he would wait on us. We were seated and he took our order. However, as the food starting coming to our table, we heard the girl tell our waiter he could find something else to do and she would be finishing being our waiter. I spoke up and said we'd walk out so she went back to doing nothing. Not sure who this girl thinks she is but her behavior was uncalled for and completely ignorant. But I'm sure if I was some drunk sitting at her bar she'd be more than glad to wait on us. And it was clear she only wanted to wait on us, after the fact, because it was a large group and she wanted our money. I'm pretty sure we won't be returning to this place to eat. So many haters on the reviews I HAD to come in As you know this review is MY observation from sitting alone at the bar happily absorbing the largest size beer they have and people watching, observing and typing with my thumbs. I was expecting gum and cigarette butts on the floor and rude servers hostesses and bartenders. This is what I saw (from the bar of course) Thursday evening here. Theres a 10 minute wait to get a table. There are tables full everywhere and customers at those tables are laughing and enjoying their meal and company they, however questionably, invited to dinner. I see wait staff all over engaging with the customers, checking on drinks and food on the tables their assigned to. What I dont see Cliques of servers ignoring customers Poor food quality coming out of the food prep area Poor customer service Cockroaches crawling out of the beer drains Leprechauns dancing in the beer coolers Cats and dogs fornicating (in the open, anyway) I really think some of the people that wrote the earlier reviews were high or worse... NOT high. It's a chain restaurant where kids get jobs and learn skills like customer service and how to be polite and say thanks and you're welcome... a skill that has been sorely missed in the GENX population. Well if you have a night to waste this is your place. We had 6 people in our party and were told the wait would be 20 minutes. Well that turned to 45 when the larger tables were waiting on the waiter for there check. He's was standing around the bar. I know some stuff is out of there control, but I'm convinced that problem solving is not a common skill in this world anymore. We have eaten Applebee's before at different locations and usually had a good experience. I decided to take my kids out for a fun dinner locally. Keep this is mind, both my wife and I worked in restaurants in high school and in college - we understand the stress of the industry and are over polite to restaurant staff. While waiting for a table, I overheard the hostesses debating with a few waitresses on where to seat us - no one wanted kids in their section. So they sat us away from everyone else....by the bar. And they were not slammed - plenty of booths and tables open in multiple sections. The waitress assigned to our table was working a different section so we were basically ignored the entire time we were there- we were completely isolated for all the other diners. No one checking on us or refilling drinks. And I am not just bragging, but my kids are well behaved in restaurants. Waitress was polite enough and took our order....3 different runners brought our food at different times but they forgot my daughter's meal. Took me 20 minutes to flag someone down to get her meal. When we were finished, we sat for another 30 minutes trying to flag someone down for our check. Gave the waitress my credit card and she disappeared for another 15-20 minutes. As for the food: bland. The three cheese chicken barely had any cheese, the chicken itself was over cooked and tough. My stir fry was undercooked - most of the vegetables were basically raw. Never again read more

If you are watching what you eat at all, you need to check the nutritional values before ordering because virtually all meals, including salads, are obscenely high and unhealthy. The Queso Blanco appetizer was not too tasty and if you look at the food values on the picture I posted, they are off the chart. I had Napa Chicken with Portobello Mushrooms and roasted potatoes and it was fine, except from the picture, "presentation" was lacking. Wife had the half-rack baby back ribs and she said they weren't meaty. I tried one and agree, PLUS they were very dry. I mentioned this to the waitress and added, "I don't suppose you can do anything about this," and she said no (I'm not one to complain loudly, especially if they bring what we ordered). Would have been a nice gesture to offer if there is anything else on the menu that might be appealing, but it didn't happen. I tipped 15% figuring that generally it was not the waitperson's fault. The reason we went here was to redeem a gift card. I don't think we will be returning. It reminded me of a similar experience we had about 10 years ago, the last time we went to Applebees (elsewhere)...not a good value for dollars spent. read more

I would give it zero stars but that's just not possible on here! We haven't been in Applebee's for 6 or more years. Today was the first time and I was reminded exactly why we stopped eating here! The waitress was rude and had no manners or an idea on how to be a professional server. My wife asked what vegetarian meals they had. The waitress rolled her eyes and said we have mozzarella sticks. That's all she offered. My wife ordered French Onion soup and a house salad. The French onion soup had what appeared to be an overused soggy sponge that was falling apart. I guess that was the bread. We returned it. The house salad came on a tiny plate and there were no tomatoes or cucumbers or croutons like the picture. I had the triple hog dare. There was maybe two tablespoons of pulled pork that was smothered under the ham hanging halfway off the bun. My oldest son had the chicken fingers with honey mustard and the sauce was nasty. My other son had the corn dog with mozzarella sticks. The corn dog was burnt and the mozzarella sticks were burnt and the cheese was so chewy that my son almost threw up trying to swallow the lump of cheese! Pretty bad. Main dishes were about a 5/10. Service was not timely at all. My Caesar salad tasted really off, maybe everything was old. I did not eat it. My salad came out at the same time as our meals and we never got our appetizer. Our steak knives had crusted food in them. There was so much food alllll over the floors. I was surprised they sat one family at one of the tables that was extra dirty and had Mac and cheese and everything all over the floor, it looked so bad. Honestly, Applebee's, you can do better than this. Waited 45 min just for appetizers to come out (2 salads!). And then another 45 minutes for the rest of our food. Meanwhile another table was sat after we ordered and got their food at the same time we received our salads. The waiter, instead of just bringing more drinks when he saw we were low would come over and ask if we needed more, over and over again. Just bring em out already! Food came out cold, clearly had been sitting under the heater for too long. Asked for sauce on the side on one entree, and they clearly put sauce on the chicken and then grilled it off and covered with cheese. Fries old and cold. The steak was well done when I asked for medium when the waitress finally returned the table I showed her the brown throughout the steak and she asked if I wanted it redone and of course I would because I asked for medium and I went out to eat because I was hungry and wanted better than fast food quality... unfortunately when she brought it back it was still brown throughout except for one corner which was odd and this time the steak was not seasoned at all ... in addition to Horribly prepared food my waitress kept going over to a little huddle with several other waitresses they were carrying on and laughing loud while looking over at my table talking to each other... i'm not sure if these women were aware but there's no magic wall for customers/guests can see them and what they are doing and myself being in the management side of the food industry I would clean house !
