Reviews for us here - and we laughed when we pulled in as it looks like a dive and small. Once inside you feel at home like your neighborhood bar! Folks are super friendly and we had beverages in a couple of minutes. Food was a mixture of a burger, a sandwich and the patty melt. My husband had an IPA which he loved. The serving sizes on all the food was huge! The patty melt easily had a 2 inch size burger on it. Bread was toasted perfect and the onions with thousand island dressing made it pop. My granddaughter had the copper still burger which was every bit as yummy and large. And my husband had the Reuben which he left no crumbs! We left with a slice of cheese cake to try later and it did not disappoint. Very creamy with a cherry topping. We were traveling through back home and will plan to stop that way again in the future. read more

Yep love the place ! However ! West Virginia state law cites services animals are allowed and I agree! But also states that the animals stay on the floor ! Not on your lap or near the bar . Found this spot by looking at yelp reviews and saw the burgers so we had to stop! Definitely not a typical restaurant as it looks like a bar on the bottom half of a house. Dive bar vibes in a fun way. Server was super chatty and friendly. Large menu selection. I love that our drinks were served in large to go cups!! I got the prohibition burger my husband got a standard hamburger. Fries were hand beach cut and very good! We. Both agreed our burgers were "good". They did not ask about cooking temp and we both felt they were more well done then we would have liked as we both typically get medium. The burgers are big and not dry. This place is the place in your neighborhood away from home. You like it but won't take those visiting from out of town. You aren't sure quite what this place from the outside, but when you walk inside it has the look and feel of a local pub where there's lots of locals but out of towners are welcome too. Service was very friendly and our waitress was very prompt and kept checking on us to see if we needed any drink refills. Their 1/2 sweet 1/2 unsweet tea is awesome by the way. Drink specials looked good too but I didn't try any since whiskey and mountain roads in the rain probably aren't a great combo. Food was excellent and better than you'd expect from a small local type bar. The fried pickles were a huge portion of well-seasoned battered pickles that were well fried without being overly greasy. The Prohibition burger is huge with a large piece of meat, grilled onions, BBQ sauce, a tasty pretzel bun and an onion ring. It also comes with another onion ring you can stick on top or eat on the side. After all that fried goodness, I skipped the fries and went with a side salad. The salad is huge with fresh bacon on top and could've almost been a meal on its own. I enjoyed this place and will stop again if I'm in the area. read more

This is a great neighborhood restaurant. The food is outstanding as is the wait staff. You won't find food this good for the price anywhere. If you're looking for ambiance, check out the high priced restaurants. They may look more up to date, but their food isn't as good for the price. The Copper Still is a family/neighborhood restaurant. Don't be fooled by the outside. The inside gives strong Irish pub vibes. We're from out of town and the staff is definitely more focused on their regulars, but we certainly weren't neglected. Tables were a little sticky somehow? But it didn't seem unclean. Sodas served in take away cups. Sandwiches (Rueben and chicken clucker) were very tasty but nothing to write home about. What a find during a road trip through WV. Not much going on around these parts, but Yelpers suggested The Copper Still Pub so we had to try it out. The location was surprising. Is this a motel? Apartments? We looked a little out of place as we entered this small and dark roadhouse type bar where burley men were engaged in a game of pool and the bar seats were empty. We got a high top and ordered some beers, admiring the corner jukebox which was playing some awesome tunes. The bartender was our server and she was fantastic. The menu is typical bar food, but you will find a few unique items listed. I had a burger which was cooked perfectly as requested. Great fries. So had to have a tire fixed on the rig, so we stopped at the Discount tire place and this is the recommendation and it was the perfect spot. Me and wife had a beer and a burger set out on the patio with the dog. The burger was thick and greasy and the beer was cold. It was dark and cool on the inside and the patio had shade. And the bartender was polite and welcoming. If lived in the area we would be coming back, and maybe next time passing through stop again. read more
