I have been working with AppleOne off and on for over 25 years. They actually helped me through a very difficult time in my life by putting me to work in their office, when i was younger! They are always friendly and helpful, i have had a few temp to perm jobs through them, that ended up going permanent and lasting years. I have worked with Kristine, Jayme, Maria and Laurine more recently. They are amazing at their jobs and just great people all around. Now my daughter is working with them, thanks to Laurine, and she is super happy to get experience and on the job training, while working for a great company and earning a living. This was the email I sent to them that pretty much sums up my experience. Sadly, I am not one to write bad reviews and it is kind of sad that I had to create an account to do so (This location is not on Facebook). I'd rather people know my experience with hopes that they (Appleone) would grow out of their unprofessional ways, and/or, to prevent others from the same fate. "To Whom It May Concern, At this point, I think it's wise to leave from Appleone from the lack of professionalism that I have received overall. I am shocked that there is such a lack of communication regarding w-2 forms, payment stubs, and most of all, political and unnecessary cattiness regarding me genuinely finding a job. Strike One. I was excited to join Appleone and interviewed and was set up to take tests. I remember words being given and that the recruiter wanted me to get paid so that they would get paid. I suppose I understand the need to be honest, but honestly, this gut feeling I had that day ended up being correct in the end - greed. Strike Two. It is surprising that I was denied the email to set up my pay stub because my w-2 wasn't received. It turns out that the w-2 was received but the recruiter didn't see it? Then, once there was a mistake on my recruiter's end, Appleone never was accountable or apologetic. Instead, I was told by my recruiter to hurry and finish the pay card as if I was placing myself in gridlock to get paid. Strike Three. On the day of the Canyon Fire (roughly a week after pay period and about a week or so after I submitted my time card), when I wanted to be cautious by helping my family find a different place to stay for the night, I received a call I thought was genuine. This was the conversation- Recruiter: "Hey Kelsey, how's your family?" Me: Good. We are on our way out of Anaheim because... Recruiter: *cuts me off* "No, are you ready to start working? Can I look for a job for you?" Me: *flabbergasted* Yes? Recruiter: "I will keep you posted on the jobs." Me: okay. Thank you, I will talk... Recruiter: *cutoff* "Kelsey? We don't have a time card for you. Did you ever fill out a time card for [company name]?" Me: Yes, I am most certain I did. You guys should have it. Recruiter: "Well, we don't have it. We need it filled out so that you can get paid." Me: I will triple check when I get a chance. I'm sure I did. Thanks, bye. It turns out that the call was a ploy for someone to get money out of me (Appleone). No genuine concern, just a flat and unapologetically pushy sales person wanting to get paid. To top it off, I was informed my pay card was never filled out. I respectfully forwarded the time card PDFs to prove to the recruiter but was given no response in return. How was I to know it was received? No communication. My last strike was the other day when I inquired about my check, or rather, followed up regarding my time card. Instead of apologizing to me for all the mix ups, there was a firm voice on the other end saying my debit card was ready. Debit card? Apparently the other thing my recruiter didn't do was let me know of filling out direct deposit. In addition, the person on the phone defended the recruiter by saying that they wanted to know if I worked last week. The answer of course is no because I told the recruiter my last day of working. No communication. Unfortunately, the last strike didn't stop there. I came in to quietly get my debit card and my recruiter asked me if I wanted to go to a job interview tomorrow. She, snarking, said she called me earlier to tell me. Here's the kicker, I never got a call before I came in. She said she would email, call, or text me info but never did. I do not recommend Appleone and it is a shame. I had high hopes but it has been tainted by the disdainful glare of unprofessionalism and greed. I will pray that someday it will be a respectable place for those that are needing jobs. Most importantly, I hope someone there takes this experience seriously because there is no business without the job seekers. No one deserves to be mistreated as badly as I felt I have. Don't waste your time here if full-time, professional employment is what you are seeking. I don't know why they list these types of jobs ($$$) when they are (I ASSUME) primarily geared for hourly temp gigs. I had inquired about a position and by the time I heard back several days layer I had gotten an offer from another company, which I was pretty sure I was going to accept. This person practically begged me to come in for an interview anyway ("you never know" and I reluctantly agreed, explaining I didn't have a lot of time to expend in this matter. When I arrived at the appointed time I was told I needed to take some basic computer skills tests. I explained I was there solely to speak to the recruiter I was told this was standard for all applicants. Not wanting to waste any more of my time I asked to speak to the recruiter immediately. Some 15 minutes later the recruiter came out and I was told me the position I was there fore was likely going to be filled and sorry for the inconvenience. Thanks for wasting my time Appleone. I met Kristina after having talked to a recruiter in Cypress, which unfortunately I don't know her name. They both did the exact same thing; NOTHING! They told they were going to check references and made everything seem so promising and I have never heard from them since. Wasted my time sending my resume, showing up to the "Interview". I swear I'd give this agency 3 times and all 3 times they have done anything! Don't come here, you're better off going to Ultimate staffing. read more

I only visited AppleOne for their typing test services, nonetheless everything was great. I called to schedule an appointment and they offered me two appointment options for the following day, either 8am or 4pm. I came in at 8am the following morning and was feeling a bit tired. Luckily, the secretary at the front said you get 3 chances at the typing test and at the end they will print out your highest WPM exam score. She also offered a cup of coffee, so sweet. The typing test is $10. They ask whether you would like to take a 3 or 5 minute exam. (Always opt-in for the 5 minute) Once you're done with all 3 typing opportunities, the secretary will print out 3 copies of your score for you to keep. I wish I would've remembered her name, she was so helpful! read more

I used to be employed at another AppleOne brance (Brea) awhile back and it wasn't so bad. After finishing up some college courses and going months without any luck finding a job, I decided to give this branch a chance since they were pretty close to home. My experience here is pretty pleasant. I called them to set up an interview and was able to schedule one the next day. They had me come in and do some quick tests on the computer for assessment. Was later interviewed by one of their agent, Glenda. Glenda, aside from being pretty hot, was surprisingly helpful in helping me find a job. She always seem to be around when I needed to contact her and if not, there's always someone else who is capable of helping me out with any questions I need. Within a week, Glenda had two interviews set up for me. A week after that, I started working as an internet researcher at some company in Irvine (super chill). They're planning on transitioning me into a full time soon I think, which is really nice. In short, AppleOne is pretty helpful company, but I might have just lucked out with a decent Agent, who knows. read more

I have been using Apple One since Oct 2018. Karrie has been a perfect match for me. I have had temp jobs with them, and am stating longer one as of Tuesday. Karrie worked with me with professionalism, my first meeting made me feel very comfortable. Her co-worker Jayme got me the current temp job, for which I am thankful. I would recommend this office. I came into the AppleOne office to find employment and had never been to an agency before. Sarah June was so helpful, she walked thru the steps of what to expect and what to do. She met with me, reviewed my resume and within days was able to get me to work a convention for Disney. It was so much fun and helped me pay my bills, she asked my the urgency needed for work to be able to see if I had time to wait or if I needed something quickly. She was so friendly and I didnt feel like a number, I actually felt like she would remember me. I look forward to working with her to find more oppurtunites in the future. read more

I have found that agencies are a good way to go when looking for employment. I have used other agenices in the past but this was by far one of my best experiences to date. I went it on a Monday and met with Glenda. She was very attentive and I could tell she was interested in helping me find employment. During the first week Glenda called me with multiple jobs that fit my qualitications and pay requests. By week 2 she had sent me out on interviews and I was placed at a job. I am currently still working at that job and will be placed here on a permanent basis. I had a great overall experience at Appleone with Glenda. She works for you and with you trying to get you job placement. I would highly recommend her and was very pleased with my Appleone experience. read more

This is a horrible Apple office. Actually, I've never had a positive experience with any Apple office I've signed with. This office was exceptionally bad though. I registered with them and never heard from them again. When I followed up with them, I was told that they've "submitted" me to many jobs over 3 months and have had zero response. As a current employee (in 2015), I can say with great certainty that this is the best agency I have ever worked for. The office in Anaheim has people who are super friendly but they don't like sharing information with their office coworkers, as far as I can tell from their odd behavior. Benefits: Get a job INSTANTLY! Literally the day after I met with my contact I had a job offer in the field I requested (medical). Once that assignment was over, in 2 days the next one was ready for me. Try looking for that elsewhere, I dare you. They also have some sort of health insurance program, which I opted out of, so I cannot describe the details. Downsides: Their office is a revolving door for the people doing the office work. Every 2 weeks I've had a different contact because the previous one "is no longer with us". (which could mean anything from they found a better job, to having been fired.) They also always forget what I'm doing; every time I've switched assignments, they've called me asking if I'm still employed by the previous company. Hello?! You just assigned me to something else! How could I still be working for the other company from before, during the same hours? Plus you just assigned me yourself 3 days ago! Did you not make a note on your files somewhere? Take away: They seem to be highly skilled, forgetful people that are just as interested in finding you a job as they are in keeping theirs. Unlike other agencies that only hire "human debris" who just loaf around. That's why, relative to other agencies, they deserve the maximum rating of 5 stars. read more

They asked questions for what i was interested in and that's it. I had the feeling of not being of importance to them...like she just wanted to get this process over with. I was told to check my email regularly for job updates. 1 year later, in total I received about two or three emails regarding minimum wage, event jobs. I just attended the VERY helpful session - Navigating the Hiring Process. The 3 things I learned were invaluable. 1. When someone asks "Tell me about yourself".... Always answer in realation to the position you are applying for. NOT about personal issues such as how I love to go Hot Air Balloning even though I am afraid of heights. 2. Check out the companies mission statement. "Does it align with my life's mission statement?". 3. They gave me "20 ways to be a better employee". The one that stood out was "Broaden your horizons". It stated, take advantage of company-sponsored training coursed and volunteer for projects in areas outside your everyday expertise. Even though I am currently employed but my layoff is immenient this month, I appreciated thier careful thoughtfullness in helping me find a position. Applied to jobs this agency advertised. I specifically applied to one w/Becca Barb as recruiter because I previously saw a good review about her specifically. I was contacted, did online tests & went to office, completed all paperwork, video & had interview w/Becca. She wanted to know where I had applied for jobs & where I had interviewed. (I didn't tell her). This question is also on the online application. Since then she has not been helpful. Only called me for 1 very low paying, 2 day event job, which I couldn't do because 1 of the days I had an interview (I got on my own). Since then, nothing. She's not very good at returning calls & one rare occasion she did call back, she said 'I encourage you to continue looking on your own'. So that tells me she has no interest in presenting my resume to clients & has no interest in helping me, period. I have good cust service experience/skills from well known, large companies & had longevity at each. So she's not going to tell me I'm not qualified to be presented/placed. Becca also quizzed 1 of my work references, asking what agency does the referee's company (my former co.) use? The nerve! My reference didn't give the info she was asking & I trust what this person says. What this agency does is collect resumes. She tried to build her business contacts on my back! Becca was going to take any info I and my reference would give her--where I've applied & the co's I've interviewed with & what agency my former company uses--& build her company client base but some other job seeker would be presented to them, get an assignment. No way!! She needs to do her own leg work & build her company client base the old fashioned way. Either the agency stinks or it's just this particular recruiter. Why put a job seeker through the entire application process if you have no intention of doing your best to help? What a waste of time read more
