09/27 I was offered a position from Leticia for Amazon custom goods. I accepted. I was asked if I…read morewanted 1st or 2nd shift and I said 2nd shift and was told I would have Sunday and Monday off.I was texted on 8/5 at 6:46pm for a mandatory orientation for the next day 8/6 at 10am. Even with trying to get someone to babysit my kids since it was last minute I still managed to get there on time. NOT ONCE did Leticia say if you worked for Amazon before you can't work at this job. (It's on my resume). Everything was done drug test, vest size and was told the dos and Don'ts of the job and I was placed in group C. Wednesday and Thursday's off starting at 3pm 08/17. Left and wait for my day to start. On 8/11I was sent the address by Leticia of the location I needed to report too. So since my off days were suppose to be Sunday and Monday's I was told my new start date would be 08/18 at 3pm. The evening of 08/17 the day before I was suppose to start I was told I couldn't start because a background needed to be done and I responded my background was already ran and was told in response that the client wants specific things on our background to be ran. Ok so another delay. I kept calling and texting multiple times with no response from Rafael since Leticia told me Rafa was my recruiter. (He has very bad communication skills) text after text call after call and nothing so I texted from my sisters phone and within 2 minutes he responds back. I let him know who it was and bam no response. So now I'm thinking why is he ignoring me. Leticia goes live on TIKTOK almost daily and I went on her page and commented on her TikTok she asked me for my my name and I gave it to her and she said she will give me a call after her live and this live was around 7:15pm. She did call me and asked me if I ever worked for Amazon in the past and I said yes it's on my resume. She said oh ok that's why so at this time you can't work for this client because you previously worked for Amazon and I told her it's on my resume and no one has never said If you previously worked Amazon before you can't work for this client. She said she did say it in orientation I just wasn't listening and I told her I listened to everything you said And you never once said that. She said she has other positions available just give her a minute and she will let me know. She never called back. About a week goes by and I come across her live on TikTok I did change my name on TikTok so as I'm commenting because she's online saying she has general labor positions available and I asked her do you have any other jobs available other then Amazon custom goods and she responds back to me yes, have you applied with us already and I say yes and she asks me for my name and I give it to her and she said she Will contact me off her live and she never did. I did text her the next day because when I called and asked for her I was told she was in a meeting. She responds back to my text and says she has nothing available at the moment. I did remember in orientation we were all told it was a paid orientation so I did reach out to her again about that pay from 08/06 and mind you it's already the end of August. I had turned down 2 jobs because I was told I was hired for this Amazon custom goods position. I have 2 kids to take care of with one being autistic so things ain't cheap for him. And I could have took another position with another company if they would have been upfront with me from the beginning and would have been more professional and communicated. When I reached out to Leticia about the orientation pay was a Thursday she responds tomorrow is pay day and I asked are you sure because I went to orientation 08/06 and a couple weeks passed by and didn't get paid. Friday comes And no pay so I'm letting her know we did go back and 4th and I was told by her I needed to call corporate. In which I did but corporate told me I needed to communicate with Leticia about it but she will reach out to Leticia too I did after the back and 4thi finally got a live check. Was told after to not contact Leticia again

Upon my arrival, I was given a small stack of paperwork I needed to date and sign relating to the client company where I was to be assigned. Once that was completed, they had me go to a vacant computer to fill out more forms, this time pertaining to my personal information. When the electronic forms were all done, I had to take a typing test. The computer I used to take the typing test was S L O W and could not keep up with my typing speed on the keyboard. The website for the typing test also kept generating lots of pop-up ads which slowed me down even further. I took the test a number of times before I got a passing/satisfactory score. Drug testing was also required, so I was given a small plastic container and led to the restroom, where I gave a urine sample. Finally, I watched an introductory/safety video which was required viewing for all new applicants. Before I left, the recruiter said she would contact me on the following Monday (this was on a Friday when I came in) so that I could start work on Tuesday. When Monday came around, I never received a call, so I called them before the end of the day to find out what was going on. I was told by another recruiter (the one I originally dealt with was out of the office) that they were going to have a meeting with the client company to find out how many people were needed (or something to that effect). Needless to say, I was NOT happy! X-( Lastly, I got a call that Friday letting me know I will be working the following Tuesday at the client company, a local non-profit. Overall, this agency did as they promised. However, I took away a star for being given erroneous information. They shouldn't be telling applicants these things unless they were TRUTHFUL! I took away another star because the computer I used to take the typing test was slow and full of pop-ups. Employment agencies can be helpful in a job search, but I truly feel you're better off finding a job on your own.

In the end, the outcome was pointless, as nothing came from the interview. The entire conversation could have been handled through an email instead of requiring a video interview. I made an appointment with a man named Omar over the phone who was an executive assistant (which is pointless because it's first come first serve there). So I show up at my appointed time and as soon as I walked in, I was looked at by both the staffing agents and wasn't spoken to at all so I just sat down bc I thought that maybe I would get called since I had shown up slightly early. I then got up and went to ask them about my appointment because it was already 6 past my appointed time. It already seemed like they were annoyed and expected me to know what to do so she said nothing to me while just handing me the clipboard except "if you have a question then ask." I still think nothing of it because I'm very introverted but when I had asked a question about the application she said "Yes obviously that's what it means." So I think okay that was kind of rude and as other women and I are trying to finish our application they loudly begin to speak about "how [staffing agents son] my son looks exactly like his father but I love my son so much" normally this would not matter but it was being said AS ONE OF THE WOMEN IS STANDING THERE WAITING FOR THEM TO ACKNOWLEDGE HER. She then says excuse me in Spanish to which one of the agents sighed loudly and asked what she needed. After I finished applying, I gave them my information and she asked me about a job in Ontario. I told her politely Ontario was way too far for me but I'm willing to wait for anything in Riverside, chino, or corona. I was ten interrupted bc the other agent wanted to discuss work drama while I was in the middle of being helped. When I then butted in bc I wasn't being helped. She rolled her eyes at me said "well we have nothing for you then. I'll see if the place in corona is hiring and within an hour you should receive a call from me". So I went home and waited and waited. I never got a call. This was June 17th I was given an email by a man name Omar who is the executive agent who followed up on me as to whether I made it to the appointment I had made. I responded to him with "yes I did however I was never called back". He said he would look into it and the next day I receive a call from the agent who helped me. THIS WAS JUNE 30TH. IT TOOK HER TWO WEEKS TO EVEN ACKNOWLEDGE THE FACT THAT SHE NEVER CALLED ME ABOUT THE JOB SHE SAID SHE WOULD. She only called me because I had essentially "told" on her. I told her 4 times that I was nowhere near interested in 3rd shift and she kept offering it to me. She said she had a job ready for me to start the next day so I excitedly accept. NOT TO MENTION SHE CALLED ME ABOUT FOUR TIMES to tell me almost the same thing every time!! The job was postponed and it started next week. I was okay with waiting and so she said she would email the information on the job and SHE NEVER DID. So I ended up finding a job on MY own rather than Fairway Staffing. IF YOU DIDNT READ THIS, TO SUM UP, the staffing agents are extremely rude, are terrible at their jobs, and honestly you're just better off with another agency or applying on your own. She was never there on site to help us through the process or to check if we were getting proper breaks/lunch. She assumed that the other agencies would do that, but every time I requested if I should be going on lunch they would tell me that they'll tap me out for lunch and they never did smh. Just disappointed in this rep I had and she really did not represent Kelly Services well. this is the first and last time I will be going through Kelly Services and Ana Cruz.
