The supervisor was always available to help you and walk you through all necessary paperwork to be turned in. You never felt alone because someone was always available to help you and that's valuable for anyone that's trying to find a job and trying to get through the process. My experience so far has been pleasant. I was highly impressed with the information I was given. The "Navigating the Hiring Process" booklet is beyond great! It explains how to prepare your resume and make your resume be seen. It also explains how to answer interview questions and what questions to ask the interviewer. I wish this was available to everyone looking for a job. Very helpful information. The mood of the Apple One's office space is professional and clean. Lindy was great at listening to what I was looking for and has been working hard with assisting me with finding employment. I would say give them a try. Had a scheduled phone appointment and had to call them to be delayed by the person answering the phone who informed me that someone handling my "case" would call me back. Ten minutes later, I received a call from said head hunter who was rude, dismissive, and from her vibe, angry with her own situation. Okay this is seriously going to sound SO fake, but it really happened. So on Monday, September 14th, I filled out the online application. After that, I called the office to schedule my interview with AppleOne which we set for Wednesday, September 16th. I go on Wednesday, with all the worries of "How long will it take for me to find a job..." I met with my person, Sharon, and BARELY spoke to her. But right then and there she said "I think we have something for you." Not thinking I'd be placed anytime soon, but I was still happy about a chance at a job. She talked to her assistant Amy, Amy emailed the job about an interview for that day, and they ask me "Can you make it over there right now?".............I was like UH YEAH!!! So they send me off like I just won the golden ticket, I make my way to the job site, interview with them, and get the job!! All in one day, Wednesday!! Craziest part was that they wanted me to start the next day, September 17th. They were all saying that it was great timing, and I agree. I just thank God because I've been having the hardest time here in Vegas and this has been the first time where I felt like things are turning around. I've only been in Vegas for a year, I'm from Ohio. Where it's nowhere near this hard to find a job for me. But AppleOne has been a blessing! Edited UPDATE 2/24/2016: AppleOne has definitely changed since I wrote this review and not for the better. I referred my husband to them after we found out we were expecting a child and he did not receive the same level of service that I did...at all. He made sure to let them know before any assignment was given he would require a day shift at one location being that we utilize one car. The first he assignment he was sent to he was not given full disclosure on the requirements, such as having to drive our personal vehicle from location to location so he had to leave that assignment after just one day. The second assignment he was given and is still at because despite contacting his representative on a weekly basis is a swing shift. The first responses from AppleOne were that they didn't have an other assignments. I find that hard to believe considering the size of the city we live in and the amount of clients they have. He has recently let them know that this current assignment could end by May due to a slow down in work and has now been told that his 16 years of customer service, retail, call center, and management experience are not what employers are looking for so they can't find him another assignment at this time but he's welcome to quit this assignment and find something on his own. He applies for jobs daily outside of AppleOne with limited success, interviews but no call backs. I find the callous attitude extremely unprofessional. As a business that specifically is designed to help employees and employers find long or short term matches this kind of communication from their staff is unacceptable. I completely appreciate that the job market is still tough and there are many people going after the same jobs but that does not excuse the new attitude I've seen emerge from an employment agency. 3/24/2014 I try to never give five stars since we can always learn more as a whole but I must say AppleOne and Amy Hoepner have been brilliant. I just signed up with AppleOne a little over two weeks ago. I checked in with Amy and hounded her daily with new job prospects :) She replied to every email and called me back faster than I thought email could be sent. I'm starting a new assignment tomorrow and hope to make it fulltime. Okay, at first, they were going to get a GREAT review. I got to Vegas like a week before I went to AppleOne. They had a job for me. Starting later that day. Great right?!?! Wrong! Apparently according to AppleOne and the company I was supposed to start with; I was supposed to know the whereabout of EVERYTHING in Las Vegas, despite being there a week. I got lost and couldn't find the company. I called A.O. as soon as I could and explained that I was taking the bus and couldn't find the company. I called 15-20 minutes after I was supposed to be there. No one had answered previously and I finally got ahold of someone. The lady that answered the phone acted as if I shot someone. The company couldn't give me another chance. They find me another lower paying job. I make it there. But now I am broke and can't find a way to work. They don't assist me in trying to find a way to make it. They told me to try Goodwill for a bus ticket, but not what Goodwill. Just keep calling and asking when I can afford to come. Now they won't allow me any other jobs. Now that I can afford to get there, they have jobs posted, but don't call or email me. Poor experience all around. read more

Very disappointed in AppleOne. I followed their directions, continued follow-up with my "rep" and it's like I fell into a pit. No response, no callback, nothing. I was sent on one interview, which I thought went well, but never heard from the potential employer OR my AppleOne rep. I event sent the rep jobs I found online myself (because she asked me to do this) but never received any response other than "I'll check into it." This is my first try with an agency so maybe I have delusions of what they are supposed to do and what I'm supposed to do. Since my rep won't return my messages I guess I'll never know. read more

Received a call from laurel today who was extremely rude. I left a detailed voicemail and when she called she sounded annoyed and asked what I was calling about. Secondly she asked me what jobs I applied for and when I mentioned a WFH position she cut me off from speaking and informed me the WFH jobs have been filled and were a direct hire okay no problem. I started mention the jobs I applied for that wasn't WFH and she proceeded to tell me " those jobs at $14 /hr so I am not sure what you are looking for " I then advised her based off the salary posted for these positions which $37,000 + the math is more than $14/hr then she asked me for the job reference number. Okay so now I'm just assuming you don't care to help me why would you tell me those jobs are $14/hr and you don't even know what jobs I am referring to because you are now asking for a reference number. If apple one does not care to help people then there is no need to post jobs! read more

I recently went to Appleone to find a job, because I kept getting interviews but no call backs when I looked on my own. I was desperate and wasn't expecting much from appleone. I went to my interview with them and was told I would get a call back in a couple of days to see if they could find a job for me. I was in the parking lot getting into my car, when she calls me and asks me to come back into the office because she might have a job for me. To make a long story short,I got the job she sent me for!! after months and months of searching on my own,they got me a job in less than an hour! amazing! I recently relocated to Las Vegas from Orlando FL. I immediately started "pounding the pavement" filling out aps and sending in resumes, waiting for some kind of response from anyone. I was enjoying some much needed time off but my after seeing my savings disappear, I decided to meet with Appleone. I met with Sharon who assigned me with representative Jennifer Earl. The very next day I was called with an assignment. Whew! Just the break I needed! I was fortunate enough to be placed on a "temporary, permanent" assignment that I really enjoyed. In fact, just after getting settled and feeling comfortable, I got a permanent job offer, which I accepted. I highly recommend Appleone and Jennifer Earl to anyone in need of a job. Interviewed for a specific job at another AppleOne branch (wasn't selected), then decided to check with the Sahara branch in the hopes of getting some temporary clerical. I did temp work years ago elsewhere, so I had an idea of what to expect. I came in appropriately dressed with a copy of my resume as requested. The interview with Sharon seemed to go well, and she said she could likely get me some temp clerical work, especially if I could work short notice. Perfect! That's exactly what I was looking for through AppleOne. After the interview, I made the requested resume changes and followed up on the skills testing I still needed to complete (the 1st AppleOne branch didn't do it). Sharon said I could do it online, but never gave me any info on how to do that. (Seemed weird, because I thought AppleOne did their testing in-office? I'd have been happy to come back to the office on another day for testing, but that was never presented as an option.) Followed up again the next day on the testing, and she never called or e-mailed me back. Am I supposed to keep calling and harrassing her until she lets me takes some tests? If so, what will I have to do for an assignment? Pretty sure they were just giving me the brush-off. A lot of reviews elsewhere of AppleOne and this branch in particular are not at all positive -- apparently a lot of people never get called back and never get assignments. It's been several months since I did that interview, and I think in all that time I got one generic, mass e-mail from this branch about some positons they were trying to fill that I wasn't qualified for. Nothing else. If you don't mind spending the time to check it out, go ahead. Just don't believe what they tell you, don't believe you'll actually get work through them, and don't expect them to call you back. read more

I do not get this, I was just advised by the place I was assigned to that they were planning on keeping me permanently however, I got the shock of a lifetime and right before Christmas. I received a call from my daughters' school saying that she was due for a shot ((a shot I should've been advised she needed before she was enrolled)) and she needed to be picked up ASAP. I spoke w/ the person who's supposed to be HR and she advised me to go take care of it. Well, the next thing you know I received a call from the agency telling me they had just received an email saying it wasn't a good fit.. When I asked if it was due to me leaving to go take care of business w/my child they said it had nothing to do w/that Amy refused to give me a reason, the next day I received a call from Christina, who stated & I qoute "we have your boots and your daughter's school picture if you don't pick it up we will TRASH it" I couldn't believe the treatment I've received from them & Pure Essence. Mind you I quit a job I had been at for a year w/o a two week notice because these people claimed they needed me to start right away & literally for the first two weeks at this job I sat at a desk w/nothing to do for eight hours straight & was given the incorrect quote for my rate of pay.. And all this right before Christmas. I'm a strong person but I can't believe I've been put in this position right after a major spending day, and before a Holiday where my child is supposed to receive gifts. You see my daughter received a letter from her school saying that she will be tested for the GATE program at her school she deserves a good Christmas, and now I have to hustle and find a job (her birthday is two weeks after)) btw; the job I was at for a year said becuase I failed to complete a two week notice I cannot return for 3months. God is good though, I have a 2nd interview today & it pays a dollar more then what this agency offered, I'm hopeful I will get it, but I also asked that they give me a week to start, because along with the job hunt I also have to look for cash assistance to pay my bills and avoid an eviction. So thank you so much Walter V. Long Elementary for not having your stuff together in order for me to keep my job, thank you P.E.L. for saying it was ok to leave when it wasn't and thank you AppleOne for showing me how cut throat Vegas can be. Cali would've never c done me like this.. But I'll be praying for every single person that had a hand in my struggle even though I have no one to blame but myself.. I wish I had a great review to post. I hadn't heard good things about Apple One before I signed up with them, but wanted to give them a fair shake. The few jobs I've gotten through them have been fine, no complaints there (the businesses they deal with are definitely great), but as far as their office staff, I am horribly underwhelmed. I never get a response back from my rep, and the times I needed to communicate something to the place I was assigned, I ended up getting zero response from AppleOne and just coordinated directly with the manager at the assignment in order to accomplish the task. That is supposed to be their job! When I called to reschedule an interview, both reps were on vacation and the sweet girl who was filling in for them was left with virtually no information and had no record of anything. I basically just told her "Call this person at this number and tell them so and so needs to reschedule." Not that girl's fault for sure, but why was I having to do their job for them? It has been one thing after another. Having submitted timecards multiple times and they magically don't get them and are calling my assignment, which I feel makes me look bad, and just really poor customer service skills. I am making money for them! I am a great employee and extremely marketable and after working with AppleOne, I am fine with finding employment on my own. It's just not worth the hassle. read more

I submitted my online cover letter with attached resume one week, then about a week later, I received a phone call from a recruiter/account executive named Lauryl who I ended up speaking with in my return phone call and we scheduled my interview for the following Monday. I came in that Monday, took an online assessment in their office, then sat down with Lauryl and had a lengthy conversation about me, my skills, work ethic, mindset, etc. The meeting went great and she said she had a client in mind for me and that she'd get back to me. The next day, Tuesday, she called me and excitedly told me the client wanted to meet me THAT day as in that afternoon. I quickly got my act together, made my way over to the client's office, had over an hour's long interview with them, then left the facility. About an hour later Lauryl called me and told me that I had gotten an amazing review by the client and that they were very impressed and that I had officially been offered the position. So all in all, the whole process with AppleOne finding employment for me took literally TWO days. I am beyond happy and pleased with their services and Lauryl is one of the nicest, positive, most supportive recruiters I've ever met. Excellent experience all around. read more
