The recurring issues I faced line up exactly with what so many reviews have already said. I believe those reviews are telling the truth--especially one in particular that points out how the "good" reviews seem to come from their own employees. That matches what I've seen firsthand, and it makes the whole process feel misleading and disingenuous. Made a profile on their website under referral from a friend who recommended them. They did not show up to the Zoom meeting I scheduled. Nobody answered when I called their office almost half an hour later. Someone called me back and said they "don't really offer marketing jobs" but said she'd have someone call me. My experience is pretty broad and I have a Bachelor's degree and there is no reason why they shouldn't have been able to help me. Super disappointing and unprofessional. read more

A staffing agency that won't staff? Absolutely absurd. Currently employed, but looking to change careers. Went to their website to book an appointment with a counselor to use their services. Website was pretty straightforward and easy to use. Booked my virtual appointment and completed my profile. The day of the interview, the time comes, and no one calls me (as they stated they would do). I wait 15 min past my interview time, then I call them. A 'less than friendly' receptionist answers and I explain I was supposed to have a virtual meeting 15 min ago. She puts me on hold, comes back and said "I see you're looking for a management position", I tell her yes. She says "Well, we don't do that here" and rattles off the fields they staff for. I listen and then inquire "So you won't help me?" She says "Well are you interested in any of those fields?" I respond letting her know "Yes, I am" and mention two of the fields she listed that I would be suitable for. She says okay and sits silently. I then ask "So can I speak to someone about your services as I hoped to do during my appointment?" She says "Hold on and let me see if I can find someone for you". She then comes back and proceeds to tell me THEY are short staffed and don't have anyone available for me (even though I had an appointment scheduled). She asks if I would like to have someone call me back. I tell her yes, absolutely. It has been over 2 weeks. Still no call back. Absolutely atrocious for an employment agency not to want to help employ. What a scam. read more

Do not come here or take any assignments through here. Go to any other branch except here. So I signed up at the Newport location with Kelly. But I saw this branch posting on Facebook that they were looking for Stampers at a Factory. I was desperate for a job and took the task. Now there's nothing with the job or the details and pay of it. I decided not to continue because of the distance and pay of it. After work, I called them and told them I wouldn't be continuing it. The recruiter who posted the position was Ryan Carter. I spoke to the receptionist first her name was Mary and she was rude. I told her I wasn't continuing it and she just laughed and said 'Okay sure, couldn't handle it?'. I said nothing and continued to ask if I could speak to Ryan, she said Ryan was busy and will call the next day. It's now been two weeks since that happened, I never got a call from Ryan, I even emailed her never got a response back. I don't even know if I'm going to be paid for that day. I'm very angry at their lack of communication and just not giving a crap about their employees. Now I am debating on whether I should call again and demand them to pay me for that day. EMPLOYERS: DO NOT USE! I can't even describe what a horrible experience we had with them recently. They placed someone unreliable with us. It has created lots of unnecessary challenges in our office. And when we kindly asked them to help us with the situation, both an employee and the manager attempted to get more money out of us. I could not believe it. They blamed it on a previous employee rather than taking responsibility for the situation and trying to help. There are other more professional and kind staffing agencies out there. Other agencies we used have actually visited us and kept in touch. Not these folks. Don't use them. Their applicant pool is not great and their service to employees is exponentially worse. I signed up with AppleOne back in 2011 after being fed up with a horrible job I had found with Express Pros Employment Agency (Irvine). I didn't get an interview until two years later even thought I'd kept in contact with my Rep: Sally M. When I finally got a job it was part time and temporary. Then I got a full time job, which was a nightmare. I was violently harassed at work and when I reported it to AppleOne they told my employer to either hire me full time or I would be pulled off the job. I got the job permanently, but it didn't last. The company was in terrible shambles and my coworkers highly incompetent. The harasser continued to harass me even though I reported all incidents to AppleOne and to my then boss/owner of the company. I actually waited for AppleOne to find me another assignment, even temporary, to no avail. When I finally started looking for work on my own I got at least 7 job interviews. Ultimately I got a good part-time job and then a full time position. I don't think I can recommend AppleOne due to the terrible conditions some of these companies were in. I work in accounting and in several companies the books were in horrible conditions. I know that the agency isn't responsible for the companies, however I got the strong feeling that all they wanted was the commission for placing one in one of their companies without regard to the employees' safety. I base my opinions on my almost three years experience with AppleOne. I have decided to go on my own when it comes to finding work since I do better on my own. I realized that some of the positions listed online for AppleOne are probably phony. They never sent me on any interviews, and when they did the opportunity was lacking and yet they expected me to accept it just because that is what they had. Thanks AppleOne but no thanks. I can't recommend this agency and Lord knows I tried. I was registered with the branches in Downey, Newport Beach and Orange. Good luck to everyone on their job search. I'd say try other agencies. Pros: Friendly, quick, pleasant & organized Cons: Quick, specific, outdated Okay so I've tried other agencies for about a couple of months and finally gave in to the big company. I was right. I was treated like like cattle, but AppleOne has been around for awhile so I figured they must be doing something right. It's fine with me. I was in and out and another resume in their file...or so I thought. Here it is: Other employment agencies can treat you like a friend but if they can't get you a job then what's the point? Let me explain, being quick is what I like. If you're busy being buddy-buddy with me you're not using your time to help me look for work. Of course it can be a bad thing cause you might feel rushed but hey, what did you expected? A bathrobe and foot massage? You can still ask questions, don't be afraid to speak and say things. Remember they are there to help. Some of the posters & the video was a little outdated but still effective in getting it's point across. I'm not saying they weren't nice, cause they were pretty friendly. They were organized and had my paperwork lined up and ready to go, right after I took this orientation-like safety test. It might take a little longer to get placed if you have a specific set of skills but having basic knowledge around a computer and Microsoft programs will be help a lot. I highly recommend Sally Malinowski. She's on fire. I got employed 2 days after walking into that office. All in all it was a great experience. I got employed, no one wasted my time, everyone was friendly & (if you have your profile online) your paperwork will not only be organized and ready, but it saves time. I would say this place is great if you are between jobs and need some extra money. I have never had a problem with them finding me temp assignments and have randomly used their services throughout the years when the need arose. I definitely don't think they can find you a "career" though. Also I think they have quite a lot of people in their system so you probably won't get treated like you're extra special, but they do call me with offers and if I get to the phone quick enough and the offer is decent then I take it. If you don't get back fast they will hand over the job to the first lucky person to pick up the phone though. read more
