To make a long story short : I was the first hired on for this contract with another female she ends up losing the position so Apple one replace her with two new employees not but about two weeks into their new employment with the contract. The two new employees start physical fighting with each other. With me having no parts in the fight they were terminated on site. All I know that I was suppose to return too work for my following shift but some how that changed and I couldn't go back to my contract of employment because I believe the two who started fighting threw threats of suing around or something. All I know was I was suppose to get promoted at the end of the contract. With all this being said Appleone failed me in my job search. This place sucks. I applied, had an over the cam interview next day and wasn't called on the exact time. I had to call them. On top of that, they're so unorganized it drove me crazy. They claimed to have found me a job (which is great) and during the process they sent me assessments to take. I took the assessments until my recruiter realized he sent me the wrong one. So I wasted my time taking the assessment related to the job I'm trying to apply for. Then he tells me he sent another link to complete another assessment, I check my email and there is no link. How are you even hired as a job recruiter? I'm seriously baffled on how unorganized this company is. They're wasting my time. I'm going to a different job recruiting agency. Stay away! I'm not sure if they deserve such low reviews. I've gotten placed for several jobs with them. I signed up and went through the training which is online and in a room but after that it was smooth sailing. So far, I've been placed at two companies. They've sent my resume out to several companies. A few friends of mine used them in different areas and have gotten full time placements with them. I guess it's all luck and timing. Most of the staff are pretty friendly and helpful whenever I've had a question regarding something at my placement company or just a general, overall question. Not terrible, but not super great either. You can't please everyone. My main factor for giving them an AOK rating is because they've called and placed me more times than others and at a higher rate than other agencies. read more

Would not recommend this AppleOne Pleasanton location at all. Josephine Chavez is so unprofessional and NON-RESPONSIVE. She does not respond to emails or return phone calls at all. You typically have to send 3 or 4 emails. She responds weeks later, like she didn't go 3 weeks completely ignoring you and all the emails and voicemails that you left her. If she says she is submitting you for a position. She won't follow up at all and leaves you in the dark. By time she responds the position was filled and she has nothing to say, as to why she never followed up with you. She does not care about her clients or her job with AppleOne. Not sure why she is there because she does absolutely nothing but make a bunch of empty promises and never follows up and completely ignores you. This seems to be the way AppleOne operates. If you looking for a low paying job that you have to beg for a response from your recruiter. This is the place for you. Just hope you don't get signed on with Josie/Josephine because she clearly hates her job and will never respond to you. You would be lucky to get a response from her once a month. Was unable to get help from my recruiter she had an attitude with me all she cared about was the client and had absolutely no regard for me, I called and asked if I was going to lose my job and she flat out lied and said that the client really liked me. My "supposed" account executive was a TOTAL bitch. I was even told by them that they were impressed with my high scores on my tests and my work experience. There have been 3 jobs posted online that I was qualified for AFTER I took the tests and interviewed with them.Think that will get me anywhere? No, because my account executive is a "holier than thou" bitch. When I called her to follow-up, she told me she was busy with writing her Christmas cards and would call me back later. Well, later never came. When I sent an email once I saw the first position posted she snapped back with a pissy email response. The ONLY email I have received from them was a group email sent to about 10 other people (Apple One didn't use a courtesy bcc) asking for everyone's availability. If you want to work with a complete bitch that won't help you, then this is the place for you!! For me, it was a COMPLETE waste of time!! I don't even bother with them anymore. They have all the usual forms and tests etc. and a really organized feeling initial interview process. I'm gonna go ahead and have to agree with everyone on this one, Appleone will not get you a job. Its so deseiving because you look on monster and see all these AppleOne postings. I decided it would be a smart idea to join with them if I wanted a shot at all these jobs. I'm realizing now that all those postings seem the same and theres a reason for it, I don't think they exist! I had to go through the ridiculous video as well and even did excel and word tests. My account executive, LeeAnn, was very nice and gave me a brief interview. She said she'd send me the tests to take and we'd go from there. I took the tests immediatly and heard nothing for a week. I called and when she looked me up in the computer the type of job I wanted and my salary minimum were wrong....those are like the two most important facts for temp jobs. So she said "I will let you know, things are picking up so you'll hear from me soon". The last thing I head was a few weeks letter. It was an email saying that "LeeAnn has moved on and will no longer be working with AppleOne". Great. The signed me up to someone named Nicole and I followed up with her immediatly and have heard nothing from her since. This company is B/S! read more

This review is for the Pleasanton branch location. My first impression of the place was a positive one. The AE that was assigned to me seemed friendly and like she genuinely wanted to help. She made a list of possible companies she had "connections" with and thought I'd be a good fit for. Never heard back from any of them. I can understand if companies you apply to don't keep you updated, but the person trying to help you find a job shouldn't keep you in the dark 90% of the time. I've left messages, and emails for other jobs I was interested in, and I just wouldn't get a response. Worse is when my AE said she'd make a call and find out if a particular job is still available, and then just not hear back, Total waste of my time. I've since switched branch locations (Fremont). Completely different (and positive) experience. If you decide to use Appleone, I'd start there. read more

After actually being a staffing consultant for AppleOne, I didn't seek additional help in my next career search except with AppleOne! The ladies here at the Pleasanton location are extremely helpful in giving me advice on how to make myself more marketable as a job candidate as well as letting me in on job openings that may be a good fit for me. I will repeat, AppleOne helps and assists seekers in their search and allows your resume to be more visible to hiring managers at different companies. TAKE NOTE: Those hiring managers at each company will ultimately make those decisions whether you are hired or not. With that said, AppleOne has done an amazing job getting my resume out there and I am completely satisfied. My staffing consultant helped me recognize my skills and talked to me about opportunities they see would be a good fit. They told me about a temp (5 week) opportunity and although I was only looking for full-time/direct hire jobs, I took it anyway. 1.5 years later, I am now full-time at the same company. This review applies to the Fremont and Pleasanton locations: Have you ever been at the beach and seen 30 surfers go after the same wave? You'll find after calling and speaking with any number of their phone receptionists and recruiters that they've got no room on the ledger for new appointments. Then they'll tell you that they'll call you in the event that you're a match for blah-blah position, which I might add, the call never comes. Even if you check-in with them regularly. If you 'did' manage to get an appointment with a recruiter there's a very high probability that you'll get a phone call the day before(like I did) informing you that due to the lack of appointment space your appointment with " " the recruiter has been cancelled. Not postponed to a later date and time to be rescheduled... cancelled. The real joke is when the AppleOne survey shows up in your email three days later questioning the quality of your experience with AppleOne and the recruiter that you'd been screened by!!! Mine seems to be just another story about this place - she never followed up with me on my resume (I had even hand-delivered it!) There was a weird, disconnected vibe to the place - no warm and cozy receptionist to make one feel comfortable. There was not one iota of a positive "feel" to it. In my case, Apple One handles all the contract details and payroll for a City of Hayward temporary assignment, (the HR department had contacted me directly to ask if I wanted a per diem job), and they do it efficiently. It's my first experience in many years with a staffing agency and it is good for me to realize what is involved in signing on with an agency now. Years ago, I got a position through an agency - temp to perm - and stayed with that firm for many years. Then I went to grad school and have been applying for professional jobs at various libraries. Expect a big investment of time on the applicant's part--almost two hours to deal with all the paperwork (online) and that didn't include skills assessments (because I had covered that in a previous interview with Hayward). So I would expect an even longer investment of time if you are simply looking for office temp work. But when you're unemployed, I guess it is worth it. If you don't have a computer and need to use the public library computers, for example, you will need many extensions of time! But I think AppleOne will let you use their workstation. There are a lot of work-related protocols, rules, and policies that they have to cover, and my reps did it very well. For all the time that we spend on the application process, I am sure an equal amount of time is spent at their end covering all the legal details, and making sure the future employee knows all the rules. I appreciate their very efficient Web timecard system and the weekly paycheck with direct deposit. I work per diem also with City of Oakland and they have NOT automated their timecard system for temp workers. On the other hand, they do direct hire and the temporary part-time worker is represented by the same union as regular workers, and we get better pay. I understand that a smaller city might have to go this route, though. I am interested in using my librarian skills at some outside-of-the-box jobs that are occasionally advertised, but I would have to educate the Apple One rep about which companies and job titles these would be. So I'm not sure I could get job search help here for professional jobs. I got the impression that the temp jobs are mostly administrative assistant/clerical/receptionist type positions. Note: for first time visitors to the Pleasanton office, a map or diagram of where the office is located within an office/shopping complex, would be very helpful. This by far has been my best experience with a temp agency. As soon as I came in, Wagma greeted me and helped me get setup to take the exams. She even offered me a beverage (very sweet). As soon as my exams were completed, I was able to meet the lovely Rosie F. who made me feel so comfortable! I truly felt she cared and had my best interest in mind. If you are given a job description and are interested and you let them know, they should at least give you an update to let you know its no longer available you do not fit the employers needs etc. They should not just leave you hanging and wondering weeks later am i still being considered. The lady I was working with she was good she always kept in contact with me but after she left another lady took over my file and I haven't heard anything from her. I called and sent her emails no response. I had better experience at Spherion and Randstad they were able to found me something quick and long term. Appleone is bull sh!t, the girls that work there are a joke and don't take their job seriously to found people work.
